What are your thoughts guys? You think Blizzard ment the combo to be there, or they overlooked it in playtesting? Seems like a strange thing to overlook.
Wizards of the Coast AND the players they hired to look for broken stuff ahead of time missed Splinter Twin combo, which was two cards (Twin / Deceiver Exarch) almost identical to an existing combo (Kiki-Jiki / Pestermite) being printed a handful of sets from each other. Humans miss things that are in plain sight, sometimes.
And yeah, Tiller needs to go. Having it deal 2 damage whenever it attacks face keeps it as a marginal aggro card and also stops this combo going off, which I thought was cool to see the first time but not the tenth, and certainly not when I realised it can attack another immune minion forever so I can't even just not play minions to avoid it.
That this would even kill the old dumb 2,000+ armour druid troll lists is kinda obnoxious, assuming Blizz didn't make it some arbitrary maximum number of attacks.
All they have to do is make Wretched Tiller like 3 mana 3/3.
Suddenly the combo completely stops working in warlock (it will clean the board before doing lethal) and in Priest, Shrinkmeister becomes a MUST include part of the combo, not just optional part of the combo. And 3 mana Tiller + 3 mana Deathspeaker + 2 mana Shrinkmeister + 3 mana Hysteria = 4 cards and 11 mana, which is very similar to other OTK combos in the game.
This deck plays 2 copies of every combo pieces so dirty rat is useless. They can draw into they combo more consistently than control deck can draw their rat. It's like control priest vs otk DH. When your deck doesn't have cycle you stay unfavored even if you can draw a card that autowins the matchup
Wretched Tiller Nerf = if it attacks the enemy hero deal 2 damage to it....done. No major mechanic nerf, no hysteria nerf. It‘s that simple and everyone can complain about raza priest again.
Btw they didn‘t miss it in playtesting. They already said that they are aware of it and keep an eye on it from the beginning. So it won‘t take much time until they nerf something
Evidently, tiller can only attack 30 times in one turn before the coding of the game says "nope that's enough of that" and ends it. So this OTK deals 60 damage consistently, each and every time. So ideally, I guess the counter would be odd warrior? Or that one druid that makes several thousand points of armor? Or just ice block + reno. Or snipe. Or explosive runes. Or time out.
maybe IMMUNE = also can't cast spells on this

Wild ≠ Unplayable
You could just play mill rogue and play evasion, bam, you win
Keep the board clear and Tiller has nothing to attack. What's the issue?
These Warlock/Priest decks have no other threats.
Not super fun to play but easily beatable.
Nope.
With two Deathspeaker, you don't need enemy minions. Still only 10 mana, less if you got an Emperor Thaurissan tick in there somewhere.

Fixed that for you buddy!
With Shrinkmeister you are covered
EU 11/2015+ , f2p 03/2021+: DK 63 / DH 205 /Dr 277 / Hu 733 / Ma 6666 / Pa 1072 / Pr 1165 / Ro 1791 / Sh 1303 / Wl 707 / Wr 664
Have Hysteria only target enemy minions.
Problem solved.
EVERY combo involving a deathrattle is think- and viable. Either for an immediate effect, or to prevent it to be hexed, silenced, copied or stolen.
60% of the decks I am playing against are running this f***g combo, at low legend level…

You are legend, so you mastered the art of building own decks to adapt to the meta. No? Why not?
imagine playing wild in 2021
Change Tiller to "Whenever this deals damage..."
