I mean, as worded, it solves the problem by... making it broken as flip for everyone? Since, with that wording, any damage it deals will go infinite. They probably meant combat damage, but that only cuts out the infinite combo side of things, not the 'oh, you left too much fat on your side, you die'. Opens up playing around it, but still too strong, I think. It'll get a Blizzard (TM) nerf to the ground, and that's probably justified. So many Hysterical Tiller decks around ATM - WIld is literally nothing but Tiller decks racing. I've had to heavily change my one to keep up, and even then, you often don't. The few non-tiller decks get flattened, though Flik rogues should be great against the meta (if you can tiller+flik before death, which isn't guaranteed). Mill rogues probably aren't great, considering. Locks probably shine more in the mirrors, with slower builds with the significant hand disruption.
Surprised I'm not seeing everyone running Sphere of Sapience yet. It seems like a shoe-in when you need a few pieces of combo like this.
It kind of does. It makes sure that the opponent has to have at least 11 health on board, making the combo more conditional. Anyway, the combo will be changed next week so we can all just play duels or BG until then and chill ;)
EDIT: Damn that guy above got me ;) "combat/attack damage" should be the phrasing. If that ends up being the solution
Braindead idiots love this deck otherwise they would still be stuck in Bronze rank.
It wouldn't be a hearthpwn thread if nobody decided to attack the intellect of those who play a disliked but still popular deck type. My turn: All who play libroom paladin are retarded! And you have a 30IQ if you played token druid before voracious reader was nerfed, but if you do now it's kind of cool. LOL
Braindead idiots love this deck otherwise they would still be stuck in Bronze rank.
Some braindead idiots, some people who just like to rank up, some people that enjoy combo... generally going to be a 50% WR for these decks for a few days anyway :P As I enjoy combo and I'm light on priest wins, may as well fight through the meta for a bit :) With the power level, this really should have been caught as a major format warping issue.

Abusing a broken mechanic that will be fixed in a week is fun?, making the game miserable for everyone else?. Fuck off.

I did think about that, but figured it might take away from the tone of the post. :)
I also did some more thinking. You could nerf Tiller, but it also leads to a design space crunch of "we can never make another powerful 'when this attacks' minion because of Deathspeaker + Hysteria".
So my thinking is change Deathspeaker to "Battlecry: Choose a friendly minion. It gets Immune this turn, until after it attacks." This way Deathspeaker still keeps things alive through Defiles etc, but disables this combo.
Solution: "Buff" Deathspeaker to give a minion 'immune and can't be targeted by spells or hero powers'. Because the problem is the interaction of Deathspeaker and Hysteria. If not for Tiller, there will be also other minions that do something every time they attack and which you can abuse with this combo
I thought of changing a rule so 0 attack minions can never attack. Would that solve the problem? It’s a nerf to mass hysteria too tho
Not entirely. If there's enough health on the board, you can still otk with it being 1 attack. It'll just stop after it kills everything.
11HP other than the combo is the min for 30. Had a lot of mirror matches and others where people just... left 11HP of stats going into T6/7ish. Even with 1 attack, it takes ages because when it reduces the opp to 0HP, it continues trying to atatck but not actually attacking until it's 'attacked' 30 times. Even if there's only a X/1 and a bunch of x/0s on the board. It's an annoying combo for everyone because nobody concedes when you drop the Hysteria in.
Also doesn't solve the double deathspeaker OTK, but that's much, much rarer than the shrinkmeister one.

Secret mage and aggro rogue are posting insane winrates, even at high levels, but somehow, combo priest is the problem. Am I missing something here, or doesn't it make any sense?
Arcane Flakmage needs a mana nerf, urgently, probably Kabal Lackey as well. Secret mage used to be a fine deck when it lacked AOE, but was broken once that was given to them for all the wrong reasons.

Hysterical Tiller is a combo deck. That means much, much more likely to get nerfed. It's also a very fast and consistent deck compared to other combos (Didn't play much against original miracle, but Patron was only an issue at the very top end, freeze mage was nothing like this, maybe quest rogue was similar), with a low barrier of entry, and relatively decent MUs even against counters (though forgetting the eater against a mage last night still stings because of stupidity).
You're also missing that secret mage and aggro rogue are boosted by Hysterical Tillers, which actually highlights the meta warping facet of Tiller.
You can survive the combo if you have over 60 effective hp. So it's nowhere near as broken as Mecha'thun combos who kill you no matter what.
I think the nerf should be to cap hysteria attacks to some number, 5 or 10 or something. "Choose a minion. It attacks a random minions 5 times or until it dies".

Now now children. Calm down or we take the ball away. Let's all get along, we're just here to play a card game.
you are both right.
FTFY. :P

Imo, considering 90% of opponents are Priest, Warlock and Mage, they should play with each other.
Rest classes play with each other.
Problem solved in Wild.

Guys it's one oversight. Accidents happen. It's already confirmed to be nerfed in the next week so relax.
