Nope - I only play standard, but haven't disenchanted any of my wild collection. Waiting for an incentive to give wild a go... it seems a scary place! D:
I used to dust everything right at rotation, because I had no dust. But now I'm being a bit more economical about it and try to only dust stuff when it gets nerfed so I get a full refund. Or if I really need to craft a new card when an expansion hits and I didn't unpack one...
I wonder why they have never addressed the dust rate? Do they think it's been so long that they can't go back on it now? Honestly, if the dust rate was just always 1:1, who loses here?
People would still need packs to get new cards, because there are so many, and then if people unpack a card they don't like, they can basically trade it for one they do. This game is based off of "trading" card games, after all, and since we can't actually trade...
Doesn't seem that unreasonable to me.
I am fairly new to the game and am baffled by this. I am thinking to myself that maybe I would support the game by buying decks but since I don't know what I am buying I will end up with a bunch of cards I don't need. Because of the 1:4 disenchantment ratio, I feel like all the money spent will go down the drain very quickly and the deck sets aren't exactly cheap to begin with. Hence, I will be F2P for as long as this isn't fixed.
I agree with a lot of people above: keep cards you like for later, disenchant the rest.
Personally I keep all hunter cards (my favorite class) and all beasts (as they match well to hunter) as there is always a decent build possible for brawls and duels.
In addition if I really really liked a deck I keep all the cards aswell, with brawl in mind.
I don't take Duels in account yet because it is the first rotation. I will see how much the new battle pass system will change for me when the time comes... In general for me 40 to 50 packs at the start of the expansion/season get me going enough and as a F2P player I don't expect to be able to get a full collection anyway.
But when I need the dust of old unused cards to build a new deck I will most probably like, I will never doubt to disenchant them. With a bit of luck, creativity and saving discipline I am able to run a couple of fun decks per season, often building on what was good in last season. (f.e. totem shaman will take some hits next rotation. But i will try to make it work non the less)
i just play standard, but i don’t like the current standard meta, so i wanted to start wild and meh, did‘nt work out for me. i hope that the mini exp and the new year will be better and i hope that there are more otk decks to come, because i love to play otk decks.
And imo nobody plays duells, so i dont care about that mode
So please remind me the good times. Was it with Naxx Hunter? Face Hunter, with no counter? Mech face decks? Secret Paladin? Jade Druid? Crystal Rogue? Just trying to remember some of the "good times".
Who didn't just love facing the same deck over and over, knowing that you had to play that very same cancer deck for ages if you wanted a chance on latter <3 I think you forgot the most lovable of them all thou. Pirate warrior and odd paladin. That little spasm you would develop after hearing "I'm in charge now!" and "None will survive" after the 100th time. Where have it gone? :(
OH! And Tunnel trogg! damn I just loved seeing that little fella in every third game. We need Ben Brode back! I can't handle all these classes that are all of a sudden being played! XD
I agree with the dust rate being ridiculous btw. Still have all the cards I got, except for a golden Icehowl and Mogor (miss him thou). Was just too much dust never being used
Yeah i disenchanted all of them over the years. I don't want to play the same two decks throughout an so the only way for me to get the legendaries necessary to play interesting decks i need a lot more dust/gold than i get from playing and hour or two a day.
I'm still of the opinion that they should make rotated cards available for everyone or at least much cheaper to craft considering they went back on saying that you wouldn't need rotated cards outside of wild. Or at least make them available for everyone in duels
I've been playing for a while so I have an amazing collection of legendaries. My first few years I would dust legendaries I never used. Now I regret that because there's always some deck archetype I'd want to try, but can't. So now I save all 90 percent of legendaries. I would hate this game if I had to dust my old cards all the time to keep up in standard. Duels is a great mode for old folks like me - or those that want something different and that can give their cards more value.
I only dust my extra copies, and only after a set rotates out (due to possible nerfs and DE-buffs). Also, I tend to DE golden copies of which I have at least 2 normal ones for extra dust.
I don't play duels a lot, but it is nice to have most of the cards just in case a nice brawl is around.

I always disenchant the cards which rotate out, so I can get new ones with the newest expansion.

I dust every card that rotates so I can collect the first expansion of each year without spending anything. No interest in wild/duels/bg at all.

I don't often play wild but I can't bring myself to dust any of my collection. 68k dust and counting.

Never disenchant commons or rares. It's just not worth it. When I started out as F2P, I did disenchant all Epics and Legendaries.
I dust all old cards.. rather dust them then que wild and play some degenerate deck who otk you on turn 5
Lots of wild guides out there; from each expansion/adventure, there's only a handful of cards that are worth keeping.
