This ruins other control decks completely, which pigeon holes control players into what? Into a ïf you cant beat him join him" scenario.
The only way Tikatus really loses is to an aggro deck.
Evolve Shaman is also really strong, but at least you can add 2 copies of Kobold Stickyfinger to make the match a normal game , and not a 1 sided beat down!
I think Tikatus is a great card, and belongs in the game, but only once a game. Losing 15 cards just cuz you play control isnt fair, and isnt a game.
This deck is getting more popular now that people know how to beat shaman, and look for Blizzard to address this issue.
Hopefully!! lol
Multiple copies is the problem in my opinion.
Once a game should be the cap, and remove the Demon tag so it cant be Discovered multiple times.
Otherwise, HS meta will become very polarized again.
Tickatus should never become viable, I will take 100 shamans over 1 tickatus.
I agree, but it is and its destroying all control decks, and a few otheres too. the issuee is theres not really a consistent way to disrupt it , or stop it. Theres has to be a counter made or its just stupidly OP to be able to play it so many times.
Idk about you, but in my case, warlock makes les than 6% of my matches, they don't always get to play it, and if they do, most of the times is not a big deal anyway.

Have the same opinion. I rarely face Warlock in legend, and if they do manage to pull of Tikatus, it's too late. Warlock just isn't in a good position right now, you just need a lot of time to get all the pieces together.

Tickatus is such a slow, slow deck. If you're losing to it, just... speed up your deck a bit, maybe play for tempo sometimes. The whole point of Tickatus is to punish the hell out of really greedy control decks.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat here. I've been hit with this card only a few times and I think I've still won the game after that. If your deck's win-con is to fatigue the enemy, then Tickatus will beat you. But other than that... like, play some minions. Hit the warlock with something? It takes them time to set up Tickatus, too.
I should also say, it is important enough that Warlocks keep it against me, a Demon Hunter. Granted I'm using Soul Shards deck, but they don't know that. You mulligan for Aggro because that is the way you lose, yet they are comfortable keeping Tickatus even if it's Aggro. That should say something.
That, that person is a bad player and/or expected a powerful meta deck? (Soul Demon Hunter)
Tickatus is not a good keep at all against aggro demon hunter and could have cost him the game. Unless he was planning on playing it without corrupting it.
Tickatus warlock is not that good, try it yourself, first you need to have in your hand and then You need to play a 7+ drop to corrupt and Tickatus does nothing to the boardstate, no taunt healing or board removal for 6 mana. then You might burn 5 Cards that are not relevant. I actually thinking about removing Tickatus because it pointless against aggro. it can work against other control decks but i dont think in general it improves my overall winrate. Also You defintly not keep it in your opening hand against an aggro deck like demon hunter, hunter or shaman.
Tickatus serves the exact same purpose as Kingsbane, Shudderwock, various versions of Mecha'thun decks, and every other painfully slow combo deck has in the past. Its only favorable matchups are against the slower control decks who have no tempo conditions whatsoever.
Once upon a time, Kingsbane decks prevented the entire meta from being Big Spell Mage mirror matches. Shudderwock said "no" to Odd Warrior packing pre-nerf Archivist Elysiana plus 2 youthful brewmasters for 60-card fatigue matches. Etc. etc. etc.
Tempo Storm rates control warlock as a t5 deck, the only deck that was worth mentioning that far down the list. It had a favorable matchup against two of the 24 decks listed above it. I have no reason to doubt those stats based on anything I've seen or played, and trust me, I tried hard to make Tickatus work.
I've tried the slightly heavier dragon version, the cheaper demon version with free admission, the Galakrond version, the soul fragment version, and several combinations of the above. Nothing has been anywhere near viable against the ladder meta.
So unless you want the meta to be Res Priest vs Control Priest vs ETC Warrior . . . let the poor warlocks be.

I'm playing a control tickatus warlock deck, and actually, it highlights how broken some of the greedier control decks are. I've often pulled off the tickatus effect (which requires you to draw heavily and put yourself in the same position as your opponent) only to lose to RNG from a priest or mage. They often hang in there even with 10 cards gone, and steal the game through RNG burn, yogg, stealing my win condition, illucia, etc etc. I've often played tickatus against paladin and seen them generate tons of tempo damage and high tempo plays through cheap returning cards, and see them win even in fatigue. And druid is busted as all hell, so fast and powerful with 8/8 boards, duplicating their win condition, etc. Tickatus is not a major factor in the meta, it's not a reliable control killer. You're kidding yourself if you think it is, there have been better combo decks that destroy a control deck with absolute finality (if the meta was slower you'd probably see Maly druid again, forget about playing against that with priest).

Tikatuscan be discovered from 1 mana spellls like Demonic Studies, it can be copies with another 1 mana spellCard Name and it can be also played even more from the combo with Y'shaarj the Defiler.

most players are not legend sooo
Tickatus is fine. Just nerf some more DH cards. :)

Highlander Rogue bouncing / cloning his Zephrys 6 times also wasn't very nice matchup, but I dealt with it (and I cried only a little bit doing so)!
Blizzard made the card as a troll to the community. I have it on good authority, the original name in early testing was Dickatus.
I had a blast in Wild today as Rouge:
Manage to draw your Academic Espionage and Spectral Cutlass and refill :D
Survived 2 Tickatus.
The guy was a honorable sportsman, he played it out to the end until he fatigued and I had over 10 cards left :D
Greetings to you if you read this here Bo***n

Yea, god forbid your control deck has a weakness...
