Most of the nerfs fell allright, but Polkelt nerf seems a little forced. Especially for aggro DH, you will now play the card on perfect curve since you want that Skull to come precisely on turn 6 to trigger the outcast effect.
Perhaps, but you also have to consider that it's a less efficient play. And the Reader nerf should make the archetype weaker overall, so playing Polkelt could potentially be a liability now. Hard to say until the meta reshapes itself, but hopefully aggro DH dies a horrible death.
They missed the mark with Tickatus. That card was the main reason why everyone was playing agro, since it disrupts any control/combo deck. And, they also missed Evolve Shaman's weapon. That thing should have 2 or 3 attack. It delivers 16 damage to the face if we don't count the 2 additional copies you can get (32 in that scenario)... That damage output while also developing a huge field it's extremely unhealthy. And given that they nerfed the main decks that countered it... It'll be everywhere.
Just play Elysiana to counter Tickatus decks. The meta should slow down a bit now. And the reason everyone was playing aggro was because it was too consistent and reliable for anything else to survive, including Tickatus warlock.
It is good that they are doing something but I am certain it won't be enough to contain DH. The most broken thing about DH in my opinion is that you can do a million things on the same turn very effectively. Some of the examples are:
Additionally it has some of the best draw cards in the game with Skull of Gul'dan and Acrobatics (which is just a way better Arcane Intellect). And here lies another big problem: As long as Skull of Gul'dan exists in its current form changes like a 1 mana increase to Blade Dance do very little since it reduces the cost by 3 (so its still 0 when drawn from skull).
I really hope I am wrong but in my opinion almost 100% of the really broken stuff remaind as it was so I doubt we will see much changing on ladder...
This is mostly very good news. Soul DH was just too strong. The shit that deck could do was bordering on flat out unfair. Like many ppl here I've been absolutely battered by Soul DH more than enough times over the last few months. Sometimes you think you're in with a chance and putting up a decent fight only to be completely blown out by Blade Dance, Twin Slice BS.
I also really like the nerf to Shardshatter Mystic. It was just too good especially in the same deck as Blade Dance.
It was surprising not to see anything hit for Rogue. It seems like Swindle and Foxy Fraud are both top candidates for the next batch of nerfs.
I don't think Aggro DH was too problematic. The deck is very strong but it's beatable and doesn't feel unfair. Aside from Altrus turns there isn't that much burst potential.
It's a shame that these nerfs basically kill the DH OTK deck though. It was an interesting deck but I'll gladly sacrifice it for the greater good if it means Soul DH not being so insanely powerful.
That "nerf" to Polkeit is absolutely hilarious! As a Demon Hunter, you don't want to play him until turn 5 anyway (As you will be getting a 6-cost card next turn normally), so the mana change does literally nothing to slow you down.
In fact, the mana changes to most of these cards feel completely pointless and nowhere near enough of a change. And 1 less damage for the weapon?! Really? For Demon Hunter - a class that excels in boosting Hero damage? Who even suggested these "nerfs"? XDDD
It becomes worse now because of the aggro DH nerfs, and actually there is indirect nerf by Voracious Reader and Polkelt - since now you have much lowesr win% by building low curve decks (which Stiltstepper really needs) .

Elysiana doesn't works with all highlander mage and most of the gods decks. It's good in a deck like Control Warrior, but not in the decks I said before. I actually played it. And it isn't "a counter", since you have to draw it. And Tickatus burns at least 10 cards from your deck with Y'shaarj (or with Felosophy). In turn 10, That's half of your deck homie, it's quite likely that Elysiana gets burnt lol.

Oh Blizzard, you so silly. :-)
DH usually play in turn 5 and use hero power to attack and buff the 1/2 minion, now they can't do that, any slowdown in this BS class are welcome.
Puke pally and snooze warrior still untouched, but no worries, Priests will say hello more often. That's what you get when those two zero-skill 5iq classes remain unnerfed.
I'd say don't come complaining after, but who am I kidding?
DH was too fast, now he's a bit slower, but probably still pretty good and isn't that still ok? If I can survive an extra turn, haven't my chances of winning gone up quiet a bit?
BTW People who say that the Reader nerf is pointless, don't seem to have actually played with the card tbh. By adding one mana you normally either cut 1 draw or delay 1 turn.

Well personally I don't think that it's brainless to play a fatigue based deck, that actually takes every threat into account and plays tactically around them. Especially not compared to playing a class that relies on random card generation...

They still play it Turn 5, same as before. And they only lose max 2-hp of damage (which to the DH class is almost nothing).
Unpopular opinion. I dont like brann being nerfed. The purpose of playing highlander deck is to have some powerful highlander cards in order to even out lack of consistency in these decks. See ehat happened to DQA. Sees almost no play now .

I think dragons bane was a bigger problem than brann. I don't get how that wasn't the card they nerfed

God. How the hell do you delete comments? Trying to make a post more clear, but can't delete old post...

-Marrowslicer set up fragment effects, deal another FUCKTON of damage over 2 turns
-Glaivebound Adept develop Board while you deal damage

Funny how they realized after two years that Brann was way too busted. That nerf was due back when HL hunter was pestering the meta
gonna be harder for you to break into silver ranks now

Missing lethal since June 2015.

Those DH nerfs wont do shit, the class as a whole is fundamentally broken.
I'd like to welcome back bomb warrior for a final encore before he leaves for the wilds.

You're too invested in this game
