I know that in the past Blizzard has announced nerfs after big tournaments to 1) not throw a wrench in the strategies of people playing those tournaments by patching before the tournament and 2) to see if any cards are super problematic within the tournament.
So, for those who watched, were there any cards that seemed too powerful in the tournament that will clearly be on Team 5’s radar?
I guess the question is weather Edwin should be HoF'ed or foxy fraud should be nerfed. Blade dance decided the final game, but a mana nerf might not change much. Evolve shaman seems to have the same "unfair" luck potential as rouge. Highlander hunter is the best winning deck (according to HS replay) but somehow didn't seem as broken during the games I watched. IMO it's the most broken deck in standard, but DH has made the game more repetitive. I personally hate soul shard lapidary. That card is just too much
Glory's Rogue deck was nutty af, but you can't really pin that on a single card (although VanCleef is an arguable culprit). Foxy Fraud and Swindle engine is something though.
Demon Hunter is still a bit of a mess right now, its like the developers forgot how to make pack filler cards when they built DH, they barely have an unplayable card. Skull of Gul'Dan is always going to be a problem so I guess that's a good place to start.
I already find it a mockery of the WC law that the skull of the greatest warlock ever is a rare card you just play on top deck without thinking, but that mediocre lvl 6 skill from WC3 is a legendary spell XD
Not sure it's an answer but what about if blade dance hit only one target but you could choose which one. Dunno.
I've never found van cleef to be that bad though the classes I play usually have an answer for a single big target. rogue needs to have its flavour. Pally and Rogue mix up wide boards with a big target or two, take van cleef from rogue and how would that affect it's ability to add variety to it's board? Still requires multiple resources to play it, I just don't think van cleef is the problem. opinion.
Personally I don't have a problem with Edwin and think it would feel like all the good classic legendaries were gone if they HoF'ed him. The main salt here is more that Rouge and Shaman mainly prevail on having really lucky early game draw and then that's about it. I generally butcher rouges with Warrior, so maybe it's fine that standard just has these two classes that can just blow your face off with early game luck. Even thou DH is annoying, we still have a lot of classes being played now. Mage and Warlock are not doing so well maybe, but still sees play even.
I would HoF Skull and maybe twin slice. Maybe blade dance wouldn't even need a nerf if they just got some of the best draw and damage out of standard. They could also just make it 2 minions
Nerf or HOF Edwin is just stupid...will kill the identity of the class and one of the major classic legendaries of this game. I can understand Leeroy, but edwin in a game with Valeera and Owl cards is too much toxic of a thinking. They need to fix anything in the game that puts u zero mana with a new mechanic like echo after nerf "Cannot be less than 1 mana" to anything even these rogue combo cards "...but not less than one mana" - To all cards and HP and shit on this game. NO ZERO NOTHING, NO ZERO CHEATING. It's stupid, even the Tour guide is included. 1 mana, Hero power to 1 mana more than fair.

World's didn't show us anything we didn't know already. Usual suspects really - Edwin (has to be a fav for HoF), Blade Dance, Twin Slice etc
I expect to see some nerfs before year end. DH Has to be taken down a notch, that's been obvious for a while now.
Missing lethal since June 2015.

Thanks for all the replies! This all sounds like about what I would have expected lol
