Now, obviously, this is just an opinion. Normally, I would ask you to not attack me for having an opinion. Not this time. Go ahead and attack this F2P player as hard as you can.
Hearthstone's Battle Pass style and the fact that card packs get more expensive are things that I love so much.
1. Battle Pass
Now, you don't need to win to earn Gold. You just need to play until the end. The total Gold that you can get every 4 months is also more than the normal 3-win Gold. This is a good thing to F2P.
2. Card Packs cost more money
Obviously, I, a F2P player, cannot care less about this. This only affects paid people who always get all the cards at the early days of the expansion announcement. This makes people leave the game, meaning that there are less of these people that somehow are still in Silver 10, despite all the card advantages. FUN FACT: I cannot go further past Silver 10 simply because I often meet these people and my card disadvantage makes me lose. Them leaving will make F2P's path easier.
Everyone starts at Bronze at the beginning of each month. Add to that the fact that many with large collections also now play mostly Battlegrounds and/or Duels. That's probably why you see a lot of these people at the silver sort of ranks as they dont play to rank up any more (mainly because ranking up is pointless these days).
Not going past Silver 10 has nothing to do with you being f2p. A person of average intelligence can go past that with river crocolisks and oasis snapjaws.
Ahh yes, a more expensive game with less players is such a good idea. Why dont blizzard just increase the price of packs to 200 gold, then there'd be even less players,
I mean, he's a noob and a troll... But I also like the new system. It gives a lot more things to casual players and it punishes dumb agro players that only play for grinding gold... Grinders will complain, but I think it's toxic to the game having a bunch of dudes playing the same cheap efficient shitty decks just for getting more gold... Which they'll never use, since they'll keep playing the same decks over and over...
People here in fact is ignoring facts. It seems that they didn't saw Hearthstone Mathematic videos, which made the PROPER math, since most of those dumb reddit posts didn't counted the cards you get from the rewards. Getting 2 legendaries GUARANTEED is just insane. You'll also get a bunch of packs and a considerable amount of gold. Remember that 1 legendary = 40 packs (average)...
Is it perfect? It isn't. But you can build a much bigger and fair system from this one than the other dumb "play agro 9hs a day and grind a lot of gold per day" dumb system.
The top deck up to Platinum costs 4480 dust at 64.6% winrate... Just under that is a deck that costs 1840 with a 63.3% winrate... These decks are also played by horrible players, so the rate amongst decent players is likely higher.

I truly believe this system has so much potential to be great. It was just rolled out very poorly. It doesn't feel as fun and exciting as they made it seem (at least to me).
I'm still optimistic they'll improve it, even though they've given me no reason to feel that optimism haha. The game isn't quite as expensive as some people make it seem, but a lot of this outrage isn't completely unfounded either. My biggest problem with this whole thing is the lack of any kind of response from Blizzard. Even if they simply said "You are right (whether they believe that or not) - we have to tweak some exp rewards. We are looking into this." People probably would be a lot calmer. They'd still be upset! But it wouldn't be this bad.

I mean, they answered at first glance with that thing of the useless card packs and granted 1k+ gold more. That's huge. Maybe they don't respond because these complains have no sense at all, and any thing they'll say will just make it worse. I'm at lvl 30 and I don't even play so much... As Hearthstone Mathematics calculated, just by doing the daily and weekly quests you'll reach lvl 50 and some bonus levels, getting even more value than what you used to get before with the same effort... The system now has a lower ceiling regarding the gold you'll get, since you have to put a lot of more effort if you pretend to grind gold a lot of hours per day, but in general it will reward with more cards and packs to the majority of the community. Gold grinders weren't the majority of the community...
I mean, I really don't understand that dumb thing of wanting everything free. It's a fucking company. They have to get money. The only reason other TCG give you more free things is because they aren't getting as much money as they could since Hearthstone has the bigger player base, and they give you a lot of free things just for you getting entangled to their game. It's pretty obvious for me, can't see why it isn't for everyone.

What are you talking about? Even HS mathematics said that is the optimistic scenario. And no, you don't get 2 legendaries for free unlike other expansions. You get 1 legendary and 1 wasted slot in the tracking system because they used to give us a free legendary every expansion. Lastly, 1 legendary in 40 packs is not the average, it's the worst case scenario to hit the pity timer, the average is around 25-30 packs. So yeah, this new system sucks and the only thing it does is to encourage people farm xp while afk.
And didn't we got a free legendary this expansion? lol. Or you forgot about Silas Darkmoon? Where did they said that they won't be giving free legendaries every expansion?
So, let's do the math again then. I used to get around 6k per expansion, and, as you say, that should give me around 2 or 3 legendaries... Now I'm getting almost the same amount, and also 2 legendaries more. How is that wrong? Can you please tell me? Since I think 5 legendaries > 3 legendaries. Or did I got it wrong and 5 is less than 3?
I guess you didn't saw the latest Hearthstone Mathematics videos lol, since they made more about this system and explaining a lot more. They reached to the conclusion that I'm saying, although it isn't perfect and it does punishes gold grinders, it does benefits most of the playerbase.

I was talking about a playable legendary, not one with a strange effect that barely sees play in one single deck (sathrrovar, kael'thas, silas).
And you say you get 5 legendaries? What about you wait until the next expansion? In case you forgot they will release another mini expansion so you need gold for that too. Also at some point meta will become so stale and grinding will feel so bad I can bet you won't play as much as you play now. Consider this when you think about the xp you will need at level 45-46. At least with the old system you were sure you could get 6k by doing daily quests and if you weren't in the mood for playing hs it was fine. Now you need to play if you want that 6k.

? WTF?
Are u happy 'cause there's some losers like you in the game with more cards than you leaving the game? This is kinda mediocre
Oh so your F2P path is easier without paying players right? Let’s see how long it will last without $$.
You think blizzard will continue developing the game so F2P players can advance through the ladder? You must be living in a different world

Incorrect, especially considering you get basically all of the Demon Hunter card "basic" set for free.
Ahahaah
I am a F2P I like the new updates, they make the people to leave the game.
Ahahahhah
But man, if the people leave the game you can only play against aggro bot. Ahahaha

Sorry to say this OP, but your opinion is worth about as much as the rank you're stuck at.
Which is to say, not much.
You're simply oblivious to facts and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Sad thing is, the battlepass is almost there. The rewards on there are good, but not worth what they took away in the end.
