Every Meta report/tier list I've seen lists Pure Paladin as a tier 1 deck and it is consistenly ranked as the 3rd to 5th best deck in the current meta depending on where you're seeing said tier list. But I honestly don't get how can it be regarded at such high level. For refence this is the deck i've been playing: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/decks/libram-pure-paladin-6/
I would say that's a pretty standard and vanilla netdeck and it's probably what most people are running, at least something like 27-28 cards for sure have to be the same on 99% of Pure Paladins. I've tried it multiple times on ladder and it always feels the same. I feel like I have to draw the absolute nuts every game no matter the opponent. Like even against decks you can identify as bottom of tier 2 and tier 3 I just feel like unless my hand is insanely strong from turn 1, I'll just fall behind and end up getting crushed.
I understand that can be said for any deck, obviously if you draw insanely good then even an unfavored match-up can be won easily but that's not my point. What I'm trying to say is that when I queue with Pure Paldin I need the best draw possible or I just feel like I'm always fighting and upside battle. It feels like unless I get the libram dude on 1 and then a turn 4 Alura that casts either Hope or Authority and then both of my Librams of Hope I just start falling behind against pretty much every deck. Alura is specially back breaking for a lot of deck if you get Libram of Hope but I feel like unless you get such unholy plays, the deck just runs out of fuel very very quickly.
I think Libroom Paladin solves this issue as you have a way to close games faster with the Pen Flingers [/card]and the 1-health package of [card]Salhet's Pride goes a long way and gives you the ability to keep your hand state rather healthy, specially cause 4 of those small minions also draw cards.
Both decks are really powerful, especially as they get refined, or even re-refined. Pure Paladin is powerful because it plays a strong minion on curve each turn, coupled with really good defensive tools, it stands pretty high above a lot of decks. However, just because it curves really well does not mean it's straightforward. It has limited draw and you need to know when to trade vs when it go face, unlike Libroom Paladin, this deck struggles if you fall behind on board. Essentially, it's a paint by numbers, on curve deck, that plays big threats each turn.
Alura does have highroll, but the deck doesn't live or die by that like GA Druid did.
That all said, if a deck doesn't click with you, it doesn't click with you. If you enjoy Libroom more and do well with it, then play that deck. I know Evolve Shaman is powerful, but it isn't my playstyle and I don't do well with it.
TL;DR: the deck plays big threats each turn and has good healing, but if you fall behind you can't really get back.
That's an outdated rating. No way paladin is in the top tier.
I imagine tempostorm will back me up on this.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
There is a weird perception that pure paladin is not a good deck. However, I would say it's one of the decks that stands the best shot at beating shard DH, and it often beats hunter too. It has recovery and tempo tools, and it has a play which can be game ending mid game (if alura comes off). I hit legend easily with it. Despite people coming out on this forum and constantly saying it's tier 3 because pros don't pick it, it constantly is tier 1 on VS and HSreplay. In this meta it has positive winrates against almost everything. It's also easy to pilot, so yeah, it's a very good deck.
