I know it’s been raised before. Aggro demon hunter ( although I’d rather watch the grass grow rather than play the most boring deck EVER) needs a nerf.
I know it’s there so F2P players can get a chance in the ladder but come on - play whatever card you get and do 8 damage at turn 3, followed by a 6/6 minion is an absolute joke that ruins the fun for everyone (except from the DH player who feels they are exceptionally good at the game - LOLs)))
But the deck isn't that great. It's like aggro druid in wild. They're just highrolling every time. It'd be enough for me to beat them if their chance to draw their key cards would get nerfed
Aggro DH can be fine, if the decks that are supposed to be keeping aggro in check get the tools to keep them in check. While they have been busy pushing dragon/thief priest, menagerie warrior, handlock and no minion mage, blizz forgot about good aoe for control. They all need better board removals, especially if they are going to print crazy good aggro cards like Voracious Reader. There needs to be replacements for Mass Hysteria, Warpath and Defile that punish going wide because blizz gave aggro the tools to sustain the card drain of having a full board of weenies without giving control the tools to keep them in check.
I think they could probably stand to hit Blade Dance and Twin Slice. Not sure if there's anything else in aggro demon hunter that needs a big hit. As long as your deck isn't too greedy, MOST control & combo decks can beat aggro demon hunter.
They are annoying but just add a few more healing/armour into your deck if you face too many. I recently did this with my mage and now I look forward to seeing DH cause I can easily beat them.
dont worry', blizzard listen to everyone's though just look at how they fixed the battlepass
yes, this is sarcasm
Haha
j get the idea of having strong cheap-ish decks and I’m sure blizzard don’t want to fix that as it’s part of the plan. Can you imagine the outrage if let’s say HL priest with an average dust cost of 19k was unbeatable?
The reason for my post was that i think it’s just too much having 8 damage by turn 4 and a 6/6 on the board
I thought that 6/6 would see a nerf when it was printed. Still do. Then again there are a ton of cards that seem way over curve to me these days. So maybe i just havent adapted to the new normal yet
But the deck isn't that great. It's like aggro druid in wild. They're just highrolling every time. It'd be enough for me to beat them if their chance to draw their key cards would get nerfed
Yeah, I'd have to agree with this.
As frustrating as it is when you get rolled over by a hyper aggressive deck, I feel like there are also plenty of games where they just couldn't push enough damage or get just the right cards and I'm able to stabilize.
Then watching them topdeck and play a 1-drop on turn 6 and nothing else is just glorious.
It almost balances out the frustration. Almost.
I think this is why every good deck needs to have some answers to early game aggression, no matter the class or archetype. It's just good deckbuilding.
True aggro DH does not even run Bladed Lady, that card is for SOUL DH, which is a kind of tempo/mid-range deck, aka it runs heal and AOE cards.
As for token druid in Wild, I reached legend with it this month, but felt like I had to take a shower after some of those turn 4/5 wins. It is wrong that aggro decks hi-roll all the time, though. If you run ~10 1-drops and nice synergies, it is just extremely likely that you can put together a good earlygame with the help of the mulligan. I never hit the REAL highroll, which would be double Embiggen with a pirate and Gibberling, but "big" decks can be even more explosive in the format.
I think the issue with DH is the fact that its the only class that can start their turn with empty board, and somehow manage to push 20 face damage out of thin air... and usually much earlier than turn 10 (yea technically ETC OTK can also do damage out of nowhere, but they need to draw their entire deck first).
There is nothing wrong with aggression, those decks and strategies have the right to exist. But it feels very reminiscent of the old Force of Nature + Savage Roar druid decks. Just a ton of damage out of nowhere, and nothing you could have done to prevent it. It feels somehow even worse than FoN + Savage Roar, since setting up taunt minions doesn't help you at all thanks to Blade Dance.
When the Druid cards were nerfed back in the day, it was because the whole face damage push was impossible to interact with which resulted in frustration. DH right now is doing exactly the same thing and its even stronger. So yea, nerf is warranted.

Yeah, exactly. I'd advocate for some buffs to other classes instead of nerfing dh
This makes me sad every time I see this because I don't have risky skipper and I can't play control warrior without it. So, yeah, just play a deck that you can't play and it's great.
Unfortunately I dumped all my resources into control warlock instead. And let me tell you that isn't going swimmingly.
I really think aggro deck need to be nerf on certain cards. I know everyone like the easy way to win but now is a ton of aggro games and it is quite boring, I wanted a mix of match up but out of 10 games is 9 aggro deck, I was so delighted when I finally met a priest. Still managed a 50% win rate overall thou :/

So are you a control player mad that you die before your boring deck takes over, or a meme player who's mad you can't get your combo off?
Those are usually the main reasons someone QQ's over aggro.
Grammar is the difference between knowing your crap, and knowing you’re crap.

blad I play aggro priest and 100% agree

Another dh nerf thread? Its not even nearly as broken as it was before.

Soul DH is stronger and in way more needs of a nerf than Aggro. If anything, the problem could be Voracious Reader not the deck/strategy per se.
Salt thread plz.

Dude, play Control Warrior. Stops Agg DH and does well against other decks as well. learn to pick deck better
