Secondly, it's always funny when people go off on all the mechanics that are introduced in the game. Discover is too random. Mana cheating is too broken. Etc. Etc. But, I remember when the classic set was the ONLY set, and aside from things like Molten Giant getting cheap when you were almost dead and Gadgetzan Auctioneer combo strings, the game was just a tempo match. It resembled tennis. I play a guy. You play a guy. I Shattered Sun Cleric and trade. You Hero Power to finish off weakened minion and play a guy. If anyone manages two advantageous tempo trades in a row, the game is out of reach. The end.
That got old very fast. It seems as if people sometimes want to go back to that game play, but I was there, and it was nowhere near as engaging as the much larger realm of playable decks today.
EDIT: Also, I don't know how long Zeddy has been playing, but he's either a newcomer to the game, or he has terrible memory issues. To honestly claim that ANY card in standard today (much less Dragonqueen Alex) is the MOST BROKEN CARD EVER! shows such a ridiculous lack of perspective, I don't even know where to begin. I could name 30 cards off the top of my head that makes DQ Alex look like River Crocolisk in terms of imbalance.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Well that was quite a read and I stuck with you for the whole thing. I dont really know anything about that particular streamer so I will go and watch those videos with an open mind to see what I think. Though I get the feeling I may feel similar to you on it. interesting topic for discussion.
You might want to take a look at post #150 on this thread (page 8, only a few up from current post). I have since realized that Zeddy is a lot more of a trollish non-serious creator than I originally thought when I made the OP. If I had understood how little actual thought he put into his work, I would not have given him as much credit as I did.

Ah. Fair enough. I will go take a look at that too.
Uh huh. So that makes sense. It sounds like someone who just reels off the things he hears people shout about in an attempt to appear knowledgeable about the subject but doesnt take the time to fully understand the concepts and reasons. That would lend some credence to why the video can appear disjointed and at odds with itself. but I will reserve further judgment until I get a chance to watch the videos properly.
Looks like Zeddy won huh ? We the players of Hearthstone in an effort to form a more perfect union got Blizzard’s greedy ass to make changes to the Battle Pass system! Thank you Zeddy for your dedication to the game of Hearthstone!!!

Of course, he won. Look at the sharp increase in views on his youtube channel. BTW, I expect a new video with something like "too little to late, they should apologize, it is still worse than before because of minisets, etc." Why not? This kind of content sells.
Yeah, Shaman. I predict that Zeddy certainly won't say he won. He'll double down on all of it.
But I guess that was supposed to be some disappointment for me, where as you can clearly see if you read the OP, I agreed with the general point that Hearthstone is very expensive. I just don't think you need to be a liar to make the point. In fact, I suspect it was in spite of the Zeddys of the world, not because of them.
If you make an argument full of easily disprovable lies and hyperbole, it gives the company an easy out to just say "hey look, this guy is crazy. Clearly there's no problem because only crazy people are complaining," and therefore ignore the actual problem. I rarely see a situation where people get much done that way.
Regardless, I already posted in the thread about the changes that within the day, people will be spinning this story to show how actually the change is bad, somehow the new system is worse than the old, and we must have ten other things changed or everyone will quit the game. And if I had to guess, Zeddy will be one of the loudest, exaggerated voices among them.

I have a wife and step-daughter I'm responsible for, a law practice including a really fun medical device case that hopefully is going to get a lot of people back on their feet, and occasionally I enjoy playing computer games. At different points in a misspent youth, I've competed in regional power lifting competitions, gone to Europe for the Magic the Gathering Pro Tour, and been a heroin addict who damn near lost everything. I've had not one, but two tumors carved off my spinal cord, including one in MD Anderson by arguably the best spinal surgeon in the world.
And above all, I believe I've had the privilege of beating you in Hearthstone.
Let me know what else I need to do to qualify for a life in your book and I'll get right on it. I promise.

I can't lie, it was with Raza Priest and Raza on 5. I think Shadowreaper on 8 too, but can't remember.
EDIT: For the record, this is my last week of freedom before newer harder job starts, so enjoying the forums while I can.
