Third expansion with the DH, and it doesn't seem to slow down and still has top-tier decks.
What can Blizz realistically do about the class to permanently tone it down? These nerfs they've made don't seem to help much.
The problem is that control decks, which normally counter aggro decks, don't see to do much to budge DH. Not sure what t is about its design but it just doesn't care much about control decks and manages to go face with a million damage anyway.
What bothers me about DH is that even a favored match can easily do downhill. The other day i played pure paladin on diamond 1, even included Amber Watcher 2x, restored 30+ dmg over the course of the match, trew a bunch of stuff in the way, taunts, devine shield and whatnot. STILL LOST! This isn't right
I dunno if DH is actually a problem at the moment, honestly. But I think they'd be well served to nerf Twin Slice and Blade Dance. They're theoretically rotating out in the spring, but they've been a pretty constant problem I think.
They changed Twin Slice once, but it was more of an Altruis nerf than it was a Twin Slice nerf. If anything I feel like it was a Twin Slice buff.

AoO is from this year, so no DH card will rotate until 2022.

Twin slice is from demon hunter initiate set. That set will rotate next year. The set only here to fill the cards demon hunter lacks for a year (year of the dragon).
On topic, with demon hunter going face a lot and warlock barely survive any game and face aggro deck dominate the meta, I think it safe to say that we need 40 health in game now..

You are right, I didnt know that the initiate set is from the year of the dragon.
Increasing the max health to 40 would kill almost every combo deck, so I would rather see a nerf to aggro cards.
Too much damage from hand. That in part is why control can't seem to control it. Much of controls control (I know, relax with saying control already) comes from aoe and stifling the board until it can seize it/run the opponent out of resources (another thing you can't do to the unending draw of DH). But there is no board to control vs DH, not one that matters much (I'm talking souldh). Hearthstone at it's core has been a board-centric game. This class isn't playing the same game as the rest of the classes. Realistically you're gonna be taking most of the damage from Illidan himself, and likely in one big final 12+ damage push.
Not all control decks have heal (or heal enough) and taunts might as well not have a keyword at all.
Twin Slice is also busted to high hell. It wouldn't surprise me if every class/deck would run this card if they had access to it, even without the enormous synergy it gives in it's own class. The nerf was to slow down tempo plays like Satyr and Glaive, but the card is arguably better now. I'd try putting the damage back to 1 and having Twin Slice cost 1 but Second Slice be 0. I bet this version still sees play because of the synergy it provides. It also creates more thoughtful use, rather than just being an over the top powerhouse.
Demon Hunter balancing was supposed to be ongoing but they stopped tweaking it months ago. Just another thing to add to the ever growing list of shit Blizz has lied about.
DH is undoubtedly the biggest problem, but bear in mind that he is only part of the larger issue. Thing is, most control decks have received too few new tools compared to aggro and they simply can't keep up with power creep. DH crushes everyone, but so do Face Hunter and Aggro Rogue. In fact, only Control Warrior can stand up to them... to some extent.
This is not okay. Blizzard is once again allowing some classes to disappear from meta entirely. If nothing changes in the near future, they might as well delete Priest, Warlock, Druid and Mage.
As mentioned (I think) DH has a ridiculous amount of damage and the best draw in the game. That enables him to play aggressive without any drawback and the latest expansion just gave him even more draw and damage XD like why!? Hunter got more balanced (I think) by not getting more aggro face stuff, but slower deathrattle and midrange secret synergies and still he has a horrible draw as his weakness. DH is like if mage had 10x fireball and arcane intellect. Scholomance introduced an a lot nicer synergy with the exception of lapidary (again, just why?!)
So nerfs!: Voracious 3 mana (it's broken for all classes), lapidary 6 mana, revert and HoF Altruis, Warglaves of A and skull of gul'dan and make some better demon synergy (like a 5 mana Azinoth 3/7 taunt with a cool deathrattle and a demon that summons stuff) . Revert twin slice (Altruis is now wild anyway). Stilt stepper... make him heal you 5 instead maybe? I'm tempted to say acrobatics 4 mana (still good draw). Bladed lady 4/4 or 6/4 for (2). Then buff Xavius to 7/6 at least (to make token/play combo better for DH). Did I forget something?
Put the lifesteal weapon in Wild. Personally if they got rid of that item and that item alone I think the class would still be strong, but not oppressive.
I think they should HoF a good handful of cards and give DH some more variation for standard. That would make him fun and playable in both formats. Now he's like priests cocain addicted little brother.
What makes me angry about DH more than anything is that they sold the class as winning with big demons.
No they didn't. They sold big demons as one of playstyles they explore for demon hunter. Which is absolutely true.
Also your anti weapon tech sounds a little fair to me. 3 mana 2/6 really? That's weak bro, I suggest 1 mana 6/12, battlecry remove all enemy weapons from the game wherever they are and heal 30 health.
Too bad even with that card you'd still lose to DH and complain about it

lol, I just wanted to make sure it was run. I'm afraid if it was a 2/4 people wouldn't put it in their decks.
Something needs to be done about Skull of Gul'Dan, don't know what though. As people have said in the past, it's pretty much Nourish if you got both effects, which has no reason to exist. Remember, for druid to get both effects, he has to float mana for several turns and build a deck around it. DH doesn't have to do shit aside for juggling the card in his hand.
Kayn Sunfury needs to be changed so ONLY it will ignore taunts. There's no damn reason why a card that makes all taunts useless should've ever been put in the game. If you changed this, then it would become more of a control card. Sure, people can go for 3 face damage with it, but it's new purpose will be picking off something small and valuable hiding behind a taunt. Maybe give it "won't trigger secrets" as a minor buff to reiterate this.

Yeah im sure Blizzard is all over card balances. Its not like they aren't under the biggest flak they've been by the community

Was thinking the same thing about druid when they gonna nerf overgrowth?

Simple. Print a neutral weapon destruction card that removes all copies from the game and give it premium defensive stats.
Maybe
Rust Monster
3 mana
2/6
Battlecry: remove opponents weapon and all copies from the game.
Sorta like Flik on steroids. Everyone will be happy to run a copy or two and weapon centric decks will be kept down.
Galavant Animation
Not a bad idea either :)

its flat out broken ruining the game
The biggest problem is Blade Dance. Due to all the ways DH has to get attack, this is pretty much a board clear, even against big minions.
Spirit Jailer needs to add only 1 SS to the deck. That's one of the most underpriced minions in the game for both warlock and DH.
Marrowslicer needs to go down to 3 attack.
Something needs to be done about Skull of Gul'Dan, don't know what though. As people have said in the past, it's pretty much Nourish if you got both effects, which has no reason to exist.
