He is not bad in constructed, you can play him in Mage, Rogue and probably Priest but none of these decks are looking to be meta. In Duels he is great, I have seen multiple people get 12 wins with C'thun in main deck.
I feel like it isn't a guaranteed craft, but I opened one in my day 1 packs and I've been having fun with it.
I play a lot of rogue and mage, in which I think it's very good.
I suppose one good thing about it is that you can basically jam it in any deck and it's alright. No need to build around it.
But I think decks that ultimately keep this card for constructed play will be ones that can draw and play all the pieces fast, so you get the big battlecry as soon as possible.

Basically this. It doesn't take up a lot of space in your deck to run it, because he gives you the cards after the mulligan he typically doesn't really clog up your deck much, and on curve all the pieces are good enough. He's technically not a 10 drop too, so that helps.
I made a kind of fun control Demon Hunter that used him as a win condition, but I never took it into competitive. I really like him in Highlander mage, though. Y'Shaarj priest too.
But I wouldn't craft him. I'd even say every Old God is a preferable craft to him.
I wouldn't recommend it. I have all 4 old gods golden but thats just me haha. He sure is fun to play around with though. Just don't expect to be tier 1 and you will enjoy it
I've seen several people playing it in both wild and standard, generally at legend rank, and I think it's garbage.
When I say "I've seen them playing it" what I mean is: I've seen c'thun shattering and them playing some of the c'thun cards, because I've seen c'thun played twice over several dozen hours of streams and of those two times only one game was won.
Heck, I was farming the g'huun quest (or whatever his name is) in silver rank standard (so it was basically a "big priest" -bleh- deck) and a guy playing c'thun in his mage deck, against someone who literally didn't want to win, just to play g'huun, and he still not only hadn't managed to play all his c'thun cards by the end of it, but he'd conceded because I would have killed him the next turn, even though I had no intention of doing it.
Maybe you can meme around with it in standard? In wild, needless to say, it's arguably worse than OG c'thun because at least that card doesn't put several mediocre cards in your deck. But that's beside the point because should you reach turn 10 in wild, if you somehow magically don't have your c'thun ratted or burned with gnomferatu, it still wouldn't be a win condition, because the only decks that regularly reach turn 10 have either massive boards (big priest, reno/cubelock) or 60 hp (jade druid) or heck, even both. So playing c'thuun against that kind of deck is literally pointless. And since you're built as a control deck, if you're against aggro they'll concede if they haven't won by turn 6, which means that you won't get to play your cute c'thuun anyway and that you'll die much more often to aggro due to the shite c'thuun cards that clog your deck.
So yeah, not recommended tbh. Not for any actual climbing or competitive play anyway. If you want to meme around at base rank, then meme away lad.
Seems good in just about any control deck, it's a really good win condition against other control decks besides Tickatus. Also fun to play in Jank. Wouldn't suggest it though if you're really trying to rank up. If you like Duels though it's fantastic there.
Why they didn't put the card in your hand after playing all 4 pieces I'm not sure. Lorekeeper Polkelt maybe? I imagine playing the 4 pieces 4 turns in a row still wouldn't be easy.

This doesn't mean C'thun is bad, though. Actually making C'thun is mainly a control vs. control win condition. And I'd argue none of the pieces are bad against aggro. Even Maw is okay at taking out a big threat. And none of them can be in your opening mulligan. Meaning they rarely if ever are clogging your hand as an unplayable card.
I'd still say it's not worth the craft, but it has so little impact on the flow of your deck (odds are you draw a piece of C'thun on turn 4 or 5) I think most control decks can find a slot for it.
well, yeah....like the title asks

I did and regret it... Still haven't seen him being played once

While Tickatus is a thing probably not. Card is super slow.
ok, ill wait a bit if thats the case, thanks for answering :)

not particularly, hes a nice add but not a primary win-con
ii wanna kill my self because i ended up crafting all 4 gods..... hoping for a better meta in the future
no.. thing is a bust for now at least in this expansion. I am yet to see it even played successfully with all four pieces
Still too early imo to decide how settled the meta is.

I feel that it's a great card for control decks in wild, so that's why I've crafted the card.
I have never seen somebody finishing it yet. it is like collecting exodia pieces but without guaranteed win.

Never seen it played once, maybe still to early for crafting it.

The only reason to craft one is to finish the achievement.
