Do blizzard pay people to do damage control on forums? sometimes it seems like it when you watch people defend their greedy business actions and horrible game design mistakes.
people are upset about the huge price of playing the game and then some blizzard spy makes an attack on f2p players to switch the discussion. obviously I cannot prove anything, I don't think however that is beneath them with how they are acting
How does one become a paid Blizzard spy? Asking for a friend :)
Jokes aside, I think Blizzard doesn't need to pay people for damage control, there's always people who think the game is fine as it is. Not saying that it's impossible though.
Edit: I'm refering to regular folks on forums (i.e. not moderators or managers)

no, it is by applying to be a blizzard community manager. These are the people whose job it is to convince you that the game is good and you should spend money on it.
I think most of the people complaining about Blizzard actually work for other gaming companies. They launch the same deranged screeds, make the same absurd points, call people the same pathetic insults. They can't possibly believe the nonsense they're spewing.
I doubt it. Some people just take it as a point of pride that they're not whiners, or they don't have a huge problem with the new reward system.
I mean I respect people's perspectives, and I agree the game is too expensive by a far mile, but I haven't had any issues with the new rewards system. I'm earning packs at about the same rate. And a lot of the price issues people are bringing up now I've had for a *long* time.

My favorite thing about these claims is the money grab “feature” everyone claims is rampant.
LoR is very a free to play friendly, like a free legendary and arena run every week for doing your quests friendly. It can’t be not free but it’s more free player friendly.
if this game feels like a pay gate you don’t wanna spend your money on, don’t... but don’t complain. blizz has gotta make money too. you are free to develop games and hand em out like candy with no micro transactions and also no advertising cause that’s also a cash grab... just like you are also allowed to never buy dlc cause that’s a cash grab, optional skins, cash grab.
I Literally couldn’t care less about people like that. Hobbies, almost all cost money...
night out drinking... 50$ for a few hours and 4-5 drinks with tip with the added bonus potential hangover dlc for free the next day.
Round of golf... 50$ for 4 hours of “fun” not counting clubs balls tees....
Pokémon game 60$ for 80 hours of “fun”
rent a jet ski for the day 100$
wanna go snow boarding spend 100’s on gear and 50 per lift ticket.
Out for a nice dinner...2 people easy 30$ and up to 100’s or even 1000’s.
Video Games give you an unbelievable about of value for your dollar by comparison. You can play this game for free... you might not have most of the cards, but you can play BG for free, duels for free, regular game for free and if having a full collection is important to you... spend money cause that is literally what the rest of your life is going to be about for things you like, want, and need.
go for a hike, walk , swim in the lake or ocean. Spend nothing on your free time that’s 100% fine but don’t be mad at any business that wants to make money for occupying your free time with fun , for profit.

spy confirmed, nobody saying it should not cost money, people saying it should not cost an insane amount of money
I think most of the people complaining about Blizzard actually work for other gaming companies.
Makes sense.
I expect that there are some people out there who have such empty and pathetic lives that they waste all their leisure time on forums, bitterly whining about a game they hate.
But I can't believe there are so many people like that, that it can explain the massive population of such whiners on the forums dedicated to every single game I have ever looked at.
Buying both bundles and not getting the full collection is a huge bullsh*t. Other than that, all good. The battle pass and the rewards system would be fine. Or at least the 80$ bundle should let you choose 10 legendaries that you want, or something like. Remove the RNG from the bundles.

This appears to be a real thing. Here is an old article on it. You can also Google "Internet Water Army". Whether Blizzard does it themselves, who knows.
That is quite possibly the most delusional thing I've ever read. Just because you think the new system is absolute garbage ( that's more of a fact to be honest, but ehh ) doesn't mean others will see it the same way, every argument always has two sides exactly because of that. The system does have some horrible things, but it did improve in some as well, such as cosmetics.

What insane?.... 1/mega bundle per expansion =240$ a year... If you play only 45 min a day (many many people play more) that means you’re paying a huge total of around 75 cents an hour to play. I spend exactly that every year and I end up with 90% of all the cards.
So You think that spending 20 hours of minimum wage work for 300+hours of “fun” for the YEAR is insane.....that’s about 30 well drinks at a bar per year. i assume you don’t even debate traveling or buying a new car or enjoy woodworking, or literally any other hobby.
I used to be f2p for years before buying the megabundle when they start adding nice portraits to it. Even when I was f2p I can make it to d5 or legend with ease. Do I own a full collection at that time? Nope. Can I enjoy the game? Yes.
As for the price of hearthstone, if I buy only the megabundle that's about $80 for 4 months of gameplay. People like to compare to full AA title games which cost about $50, but games like ff7r is completed in 40h. Even if you play only 2h a day, that's $50 for 2 months.
However, hearthstone is actually more of a gacha loot box game, which makes it comparable to mobile gacha games like arknights or genshin. $80 in arknights or genshin, if you are lucky you will net yourself just one top tier unit, not even a full squad. There are tons of videos you can find people spending thousands rolling for a high tier unit.
Oh definitely, I think they do or at least once did hire social media influencers ... I can see them getting lazy with the free publicity on Twitch on YouTube.
But in a world where you can buy reddit upvotes, amazon reviews of all five star levels to make them look genuine, etc.. why wouldn't they. Profit is profit so gotta' protect profit.

YOU think it's an insane amount of money. The market, which is what actually sets the price, disagrees. The problem with you and your comrades is that you think that what YOU value is the only thing that matters. That your definition of a "fair price" is the only one. So you condemn anyone who disagrees with you as a "paid shill" or some other ridiculous insult: because you can't accept that other people have a different point of view than you. Or you resent the fact that some of us have actual jobs and don't mind spending $1/ day on a game.
If you don't like the price, either put more time into earning stuff as an f2p, or find a new game. Blizzard doesn't OWE you anything.

I feel every forum is being controlled by Blizzard, except Reddit

This thread is going nowhere in a hurry. Next time don't start accusing others who respond of being paid shills, and a thread might stay open.
