Call me a shill or whatever you want but sorry, I just can't find it in myself to care about all this. I play the game, I watch the game, all the other stuff I couldn't care less. If other people enjoying this game and spending money on it makes you go into a ranting rage, well then just quit.
I dont know how and why Blizzard has got so greedy especially in last 2 years.
Its because Activison infected blizzard from the inside years ago and has since eroded every cell to create what is now a remnant corpse of once great company which Activision now publically walks around in like a jeepers creepers skin suit.
I'm really enjoying the expansion, personally. If others aren't, sorry. Maybe of enough people leave, they will make the changes you ask for. If not, I hope those people find other games they enjoy and the people who continue to enjoy Hearthstone can do so.
And the expansion is not the problem. Content creators like zeddy that were the forerunners of this movement say that they really are liking the expansion.
Issue is regarding the battle tracking rewards system where ppl have done the math and concluded you re bound to get around 2k or less gold by the start of new set.
BLIZZARD LIED when they said u would get the same gold with the same time invested. Guess what? u need to spend 3 or 4 more time playing the game to get around the same gold as before.

Yeah but here's the funny thing. Everyone says "people have done the math..." but people are very reluctant to actually provide any. Mostly they are just regurgitating what other people have said, who are in turn regurgitating what other people have said and so on. And the little math I have seen has been deliberately duplicitous in manipulating the figures to make it look bad. I have done my own math and I cannot for the life of me get to a point where you get "around 2k or less gold". By my calculation depending on how much you play the amount of gold you get will vary from slightly less to slightly more. And by slightly I mean 200-300g something like that. And that is before you even consider all the extra rewards you get under the new system - legendaries, packs, tickets etc.
The only group of players (if you can even call them players) that I can envision being worse off is people who used to do their quests and nothing else and not only that did them in the most cheesy min-maxing way possible (i.e. teaming up with a friend and playing suicide decks). Those people might be a little worse off in that they used to be able to do their quests in about half an hour each week, whereas now it might take them about 2 hours per week. But if those are the only players who got hurt, then I'm cool with that as what are they even contributing to the game?
All i see is people cry theyr asses out, out do you think people make money kidos? Just be happy that you have an amazing game to play, you don't need to buy shit, your problem is that you re too lazy to spend the needed time to get a good collection, that's how u reach the level of people who spend money and naturally have better cards, i am a spender my self i like to buy bundles now and then and i don't really get this crying shit, one day they just leave this game with theyr salty community, this becomes league of legends and no one plays it, then you will be happy with your misleaded fucking frustration
Thing is, there still would be ppl buying their overexpensive packs or bundles. Wish that we can stop it for a month and then hopefully Blizz realise something...
Please show us the math. It's becoming an unsubstantiated claim at this point. Like many players I've chosen not to buy the tavern pass. Fine with it. If you don't like the product, you don't have to buy it. But what's the point in trying to sink the company if other players feel like the price of the product is worth it to them. Just do you and move on eh?
Happy to say that people seem to be standing firm against this corporate greed this time. Just a few days since expansion released yet my friends list, normally brimming with hearthstone players had just one on last night.
The majority of my friend list is hearthstone players so this is quite telling.
Has anyone else noticed this on their own lists?
Everyone says it’s not paying money that will hurt Blizzard the most, but I disagree. I think merely not playing at all until they fix it will help the exact same cause. I know for certain they have gone too far this time. Never seen so many angry and negative comments from so many in all the years since release!
Same, I noticed this. I went back to Diablo until they fix this bullshit.
My biggest turnoff from games in general is over complexity of reward mechanics. They are a nuisance, take you out of the game immersion and usually a scam: particularly in the mobile market place.
It seems Blizz ripped the play book right out of the Google store.
The only place I want complexity is in my card matches.
I'm surprised it took this long for people to realize how greedy blizzard has been!
Well that said, there is still a lot of useful idiots around sticking up for this corporate greed, thinking they are getting achievement points when they defend the behavior shown by Activision-blizzard! I've seen too many moral knights in shining armor, saying stupid stuff like, " think its too expensive, stop complaining, or keep your mouth shut, this subject has already been posted many times" dumb shit like that...
But people fail to understand many of us love this game, we want it to be better and we like playing it and we would like to do so for a long time. Also a shout out to J Alexander, he made an awesome constructive post, changes Blizzard could do right now to make this game better for everyone. This would make more people come back and play this game, a shame Activision cant see it through their greedy lenses. We should demand these changes before coming back!!
Give players 10g per win and 5g per loss:
Cut non-golden crafting costs by half
Add equal amounts of dusts to daily quests
Give the Classic set in its entirety to all players:
Make the mid-season expansion free or a small cost, like $5:
Sorry, but for me I just see kicking and screaming children that are becoming more and more entitled by the day. Entitlement, entitlement, entitlement. Everyone gets a trophy for participating, yada yada.
I’ve played since 2014, and I can say without bias a few things about what didn’t exist in hearthstone back then to what exists today.
-Pre purchase bundles. Getting free golden legendaries, free golden packs, and a cheaper price to pack ratio did not exist by comparison.
-Random pack bundles or deals that they sometimes come out with. Like the 2 of each pack from each standard expansion stuff for ridiculously cheap.
-Quests surrounding specific releases that give upwards of 10-15 packs for free in total.
People lovvvve emotionally spouting their opinions and claiming it as fact, but the world doesn’t work that way. I could make you an excel spreadsheet in 15 minutes literally showing you that they have only offered better and cheaper means to obtain cards, basically year over year, since launch.
Other than the recent rewards change, which was a blunder and is getting addressed, offer up something proving that they’ve gotten greedier over time?
I totally agree, I think everyone is just jumping on the hate wagon, I love the game right now, Wild ladder, battlegrounds and duels all feel really fun and I haven't spent money on the game for 3 expansions, just do your daily quests every 3 days
If you look at gold for 3 wins vs the new XP for playing a game, you are correct, you earn less gold. But who the hell earns gold at the rate of 30 wins per 100 gold? Daily quests are worth more now than when they gave gold and quests give the vast majority of rewards. The outrage over the battlepass is unjustified, people just want something to be mad about because the world if in disarray due to COVID.
BLIZZARD LIED when they said u would get the same gold with the same time invested. Guess what? u need to spend 3 or 4 more time playing the game to get around the same gold as before.
Thats issue being discussed
You get about 12k xp a week from dailies and weeklys, which translates to the same amount of rewards as before.
You're reproducing lies that you swallowed whole without a single thought of your own.

Plenty of ppl have done it. If had been up to date in the posts on sites like out of cards or reddit or yth from content creators you could see that.

Just crying cause Blizzard lied about the time requirements. You do say if " u want to have as much as a spender of lets say mega bundle than put ur time in it" and its in ur right cause ppl could indeed have the opportunity to buy 80 packs for free just with the gold they could collect by only playing an hour per day.
Thing is Blizzard said u could get the same amount of gold with the same time requirements so casuals wouldn't be hurt and if anything they could even profit from the new system. Stats show otherwise. And the fact they already swapping some rewards for straight hard gold just goes to show this. They wre only hoping ppl wouldn't notice. Well ppl arent sleeping

The only cancer in Hearthstone is its community.

oh my god lol, you folks think you are some kind of activists for not playing a free game
grow up
Isn't the same about people patronizing them ? You should grow up as well.
It's pretty hilarious

Hearthstone "deceptively" simple.

Thats simple. They merged with Activision.
