I ll sum all in one sentence: This is the last, very last pre-order that i ve bought, i m very very disappointed in new quest/progress system and in game overall...
They are killing the golden goose through their greed. F2P players are necessary to the success of the game and this change pushes them out the door in many cases. Without F2P players, the cue times will rise and the viewership and overall excitement for the game will decrease, putting the game into a death spiral. Fewer people will join due to the prohibitive costs of entry, F2P players will continue to leave, and paying players will stop paying; also, F2P players who leave the game will stop watching streamers, which will decrease their numbers and make it less likely for new people to encounter them. In short, everybody suffers, from the consumer to the shortsighted company, and they need to fix this before it destroys their game (ie. see Star Wars Battlefront 2 in beta).
Blizzard making money is not a problem! And I don't mind paying for a good game and for a decent value. But this is greed to the next level! Just have a good look at the progress bar and see what they put on there, at the end a dragon pack, like really??? They have the arrogance to just place any shit on there and think it is ok! making you pay for it and let you grind for 12 hours a day... So you not even allowed to reach the rewards... WTF.
It's the same arrogance of Activision making young kids play for stupid stickers and ugly banners in COD MW, that look like it got 1min design time on them, and they rip kids off because kids pay them, thinking this is all fine and normal!
Corporate Greed Is The Root Of All Evil!!

No, them selling card backs would be a very good transition. For example, if they took a page out of MTGA's book, they could monetize cosmetics (e.g. alternate card arts, heroes, card backs, emotes, etc.) while keeping the price of purchasing the actual cards low. This means that F2P players can afford the actual cards necessary to play the game, without the bonuses that don't actually impact gameplay, while the hardcore players can enjoy their cosmetic perks.
The problem is spending 80 euro on a game and not even getting close to a complete collection, thats bs. If you think about it 80 euro is so much money for so many people, so why is it so hard to just reward the player with a complete set of cards each expansion when they commit so much?
How is that BS? That is literally how card games have worked since they started. At least you still actually get something for free just by playing the game. I never got free YGO booster packs just by hanging out at my local card shop on Saturdays and I definitely spent well over 80 bucks every new expansion with some cards commanding over $100 a piece, so I'm not sure what you're bitching about.
It's not hard for them to give you a complete set of cards....it's completely idiotic. Your suggestion is for them to literally lose millions of dollars. If you ever create your own business I'd be very interested in knowing how much you hand out for free.
Whales defending Blizzard are a huge problem. As long as they buy into this crap, and Activision makes the profit they planned, nothing will get better.
Oh man, people using their free will and buying their product is a problem? Let's start the riot to stop people from deciding how and when to spend their own money.
Oops, I contradicted an anti-greed comment. Does that make me a whale now, too?

Absolutely. Didn't you know there's only one acceptable opinion for the anti-Blizzard lynch mob? If you don't pepper your posts with "greedy company," "p2w," "getting ripped off," or demands for more free stuff FOR PLAYING A GAME, you're clearly a paid shill for Activision. Reasonable people can't disagree on this: bow to their demands or else.
I hate how people are turning this attack on F2P, which I am not btw, as a chance to argue for some sort of stupid subscription model where they get all cards every 3 months for 80$ or whatever the fuck...
1) that kills the COLLECTING aspect, which is pretty important to any CCG
2) that isn't what this about (i.e. mid-level paying players trying to get more) , it's about a really harsh attack on f2P viablility, and the murdering of suplementary gold gains...that isn't you if you are pre-ordering.
Normally in a game, if there isn't a subscription if you want all the bells and whistles, or to progress faster you pay money. This is not what the issue is about. The problem is that you have to feel confident that you're getting a good product for your money. Blizzard is not doing that right now.
They had a great opportunity to fix some of the problems with the passes that they are offering and they couldn't do that.
It's irritating that people on here can't see the difference between whiners and people who are questioning the direction of the game.

In your view. In mine, I am getting a good product for the money I spend. My total spending in a year for HS is (roughly) $75. (About every other expansion, I buy the $50 bundle.) That's less than what my son spends on some of his PlayStation games. And I get plenty of entertainment out of that $75. As for the rest, I start stockpiling gold pretty early after a new expansion hits and am very careful about how many cards I craft. In other words, I play on a budget.
It's irritating that people can't see that not everyone views the new system as a ripoff. It's irritating to be criticized for NOT being unhappy with the direction of the game. It's irritating when people think that for $80 (or some modest amount), they should have access to every card in the game. It's irritating to hear SOME (not all) f2p players also insist that they should be rewarded for only modest investments of their time in playing. And it's irritating to have deranged trolls (not you) who can't write a single coherent sentence accuse people of secretly being on Blizzard's payroll because they disagree with him.

See, this is a ridiculous argument and I wish people would stop making it. This isn't a collectable card game. This is a VIDEO GAME simulator of a collectable card game. I don't have any expectation that Microsoft Flight Simulator should cost as much as an Airbus A380. The cost of Hearthstone needs to be compared to other VIDEO GAMES. And by that metric Hearthstone is preposterously expensive and it deserves every ounce of criticism that it receives on that front.

If someone spend 700 per year for digital content i asume he doesnt care for the price

Happy for them to make money, not happy for them to rip people off as they currently do!
