I'm pretty undecided about whether I should buy the Tavern Pass or not. I've already bought both pre-orders and will probably buy another bundle when MDF launches and I'm not sure if the Tavern Pass is actually worth it. I quite like the skins and it would be nice to get better rewards but maybe my money would be better spent on packs instead?
Would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Have you bought it? Do you want to buy it? I imagine the longer I wait to buy it the less value it will give so if I'm gonna do it I will probably do it before the end of the week.
Depends on how many hours you intend to play. Let's assume you play ~1h per day which gives ~300 XP.
Over the course of 4 months you earn: 1000 XP per day from daily quests, 6000 XP per week from weekly ones and there is around 27000 XP available from various achievements. Some are next to impossible, but getting ~20000 XP from those is reasonable to assume. Adding 300 XP per day from gameplay that translates to around 280k XP over 4 months without the tavern pass.
If you get the pass you start with a 15% XP boost. You should get to level 35 after around 1 month when the boost increases to 20%. So instead of 280k you should be able to collect approximately 1/4 * 280 * 1.15 + 3/4 * 280 * 1.2 = 332.5k XP, so a bit more than 50k more. That is good enough for 11 more levels past level 50, which translates to 1650 gold. So the 20$ of the pass will net you enough extra gold for 16-17 packs (plus all the cosmetics) which is a fair deal, but not amazing.
Now if you plan to play even more (say 2-3 hours a day on average) then the tavern pass becomes definitely worthwhile
It depends. I wouldn't genuinely look at the exp boost, because it's not really that significant. If you like cosmetics (cuz that's about it with the tavern pass) then you can buy it, but I wouldn't count on any benefits such as more gold etc.
So many similar questions.. do people not have any common sense??
level 48 gives you a year of the dragon card pack! A YEAR OF THE DRAGON one... and this is at level 48 which you will reach soon before the next expansion.
I would say It os a good offer if you like skins as i do, and if you play the game enough to get yo the maximun level, which i would assume un the case you want to buy the pass. The XP boost is more of an extra for me, and i know the reward track has been a little scammy With the good thing, but that doesent change the coolness of the cosmetics you get buying the pass. I personaly love the new warrior skin, and the last Jaina you get id, for me, one of the best version of a classic Hero skin you could possibly get. That are my thoughts on the matter, i hope It helps!
I bought it, mainly for the Warrior skin and the cosmetic coin. I like the exp. bonus, it feels nice to level up just a little bit faster. I don't know if it'll be "worth it" in terms of earning more gold for the next expansion, but that's not what matters to me.
As the game would be too easy i stronly recommend you to NOT BUY the pass....
Sadly I bought it as a mistake and now i own a full golden collection, I am top 5 legend in standard, won 10 straight arena runs with warrior and i own a new factory in china.

if you think that’s value for money go buy it.
ah yes, the entire battlepass value is based on that year of the dragon card pack!
Well I bought it because I really like Warrior and Jaina skin. Extra XP sounds good cause I play a few hours per day and I'm just curious which lvl I get with pass at the end. If not enough I will not buy next one so I give it try. And I hope they change a little bit rewards and XP gaining
I don't grind a lot so getting the Tavern Pass is more than likely why I'm at level 20 now. But what I'm seeing though is the gradual increase in XP requirements might make even the Tavern Pass obsolete. Even if it only jumps a 100 XP each level, we're still talking close to 6000xp to hit level 50? Even with the boosts, it's gonna be a grind. This is gonna suck for those that just do their quest and call it a day.
I'm not a math nerd, but I'm not sure even the weeklies will be enough to hit 50 if i got 30 to go. I know most of the anger is from F2P players crying about their ability to make gold, but I think even paying players will be pissed if they bought the Pass and can't even get all the skins they thought they paid for.
All I can do is play the way I've been playing. If at the end of the expansion I'm not close, I won't buy they next one. I'm certainly gonna hang up the old card game if they don't do a major revamp of the rewards and crafting system. I'd much rather go buy a premium game that isn't against rude opponents and require a continuous cash outlay to keep relevant.
It sucks when it's still early in the week and you have nothing but grind available to you.....
Hard pass unless you want the exclusive hero portraits and skins.
If the Tavern Pass had extra packs/gold/whatever like MTG:Arena and literally every other 'battlepass' system ever, it would be worth it but without those extras, the XP boost is a joke.
e: Before anyone responds - I'm not a p2p hater, I buy basically every bundle and like cosmetics but I won't touch this Tavern Pass thing.
I preordered the darkmoon expansion. Now i really hesitate to buy the pass or any other expansion due to all the problems in game. If i cant finish a game or play a game die tot this problems. Why should i even consider to purchase any products from blizzard at this stage.

The pass is good if you want cosmetics rewards and is a hardcore player that will get better benefit from the exp boost
if you don’t care about cosmetics or isn’t a hardcore player better don’t buy it
It depends. I wouldn't genuinely look at the exp boost, because it's not really that significant. If you like cosmetics (cuz that's about it with the tavern pass) then you can buy it, but I wouldn't count on any benefits such as more gold etc.
Absolutely worth it. Blizzard is doing a great job. It's ausm.

if u want to pay battle pass ignore bonus xp just focus if u want skins or no

Blizzard nailed this one. The pass is awesome. They have been so generous. It's a revolution.
Its not worth as they give you too much.
As the game would be too easy i stronly recommend you to NOT BUY the pass....

Please don't do my mistake!

Ignore the sarcasm. Buy it if it feels like reasonable value for you.
I bought it because I love Silas and wanted the golden version of it. That made it good value for me. Your mileage may vary.

Hi everyone just a question , if u buy the pass the skins remains for ever ?
Yes and no.
