You get more xp for winning and there are no limits on the number of games you can play. No reason to rope.
Did you read at all what he just wrote? There is absolutely a reason to rope. You get exp based on the time you're in a game, so even if you know it's a game you can't possibly lose, roping is quite literally the best strategy, or at the very least the most profitable one. Cause you don't know if you'll win the next game anyways, so juicing all the exp out of every single game is better in the long run.
Blizzard also set it up easier for the bots, they just need to pass and pass and as Quarzer said you can literally set up the simpliest of bots to just stall, rope and then die in like 5-6 turns and easily earn close to 10k exp daily.

That depends on whether the reward you get for winning increases as the game goes on. If the reward is based on the number of turns or always the same amount, no reason to rope.
Does anyone know how many xp you get for a win? It’s just that Hearthstone Top Decks said “rewards are no longer attached to winning, which means that even if you play a deck with very low win rate, you will still be able to progress”.
Oh my... I haven't played casual or ranked games in a while but I did buy the next expansion on pre-order. Until they do something about this I will stick with BG's.
They will be shitty bots and the reason they rope for xp is because the dickheads behind it will have literally thousands of machines doing the same thing for the free packs, gold etc etc.
They will then sell accounts online for real cash with certain amounts of gold/cards/packs.
Remember selling one account might only make 5 dollars, but when doing that on a large scale by using bots it becomes profitable.
Seems Blizzard will need to get the ban stick active and pretty fast. People are already pissed off at being ripped off again at this ridiculously over priced but addictive game. I would love to find the home address of the CEO for Activision and take a giant shit on his lawn. What a cunt
why is it a cheat? if blizzard did implement this stupid time equals xp, then just queing up on games is enough to get progression... they just allow it... they actually say, just que up and gain xp...
I agree that it is stupid, and they need to change it to the way xp for leveling up your characters goes...
something like:
start a game = 5xp
win a game = 5xp
play a card = 1xp
destroy a card = 1xp
deal 1 damage to your opponent = 1xp
do nothing in 1 turn and cause the rope to appear = -100xp :P
but with the system like this: nothing wrong with roping!

Since the new reward system is launched there are some ropers farming EP. IT seems like you are not need to play activly to get a lot of EP.
Starting games and do nothing 24/7 give you a lot of gold / EP. 24h*400EP = 9600 EP (300 Gold every day after reaching LVL 50). That can't be right.
You get more xp for winning and there are no limits on the number of games you can play. No reason to rope.
I think they are bots, which going to start a new game after losing. Beside of that you are able to farm EP during work or watching TV.

i start hearthstone on my phone, and start a casual game, then let the roping begin... my opponent gets a win for his quests, and I get some xp...
and while im roping on my phone i go do my stuff on the pc, tv or at the bathroom...
my opponents get more xp because they win, and i get some as an afker

Is that a murloc? Yawn....conceede!
Blizzard needs to suspend accounts of ropers,
roping is a cheat and ropers destroy HS.
why is it a cheat? if blizzard did implement this stupid time equals xp, then just queing up on games is enough to get progression... they just allow it... they actually say, just que up and gain xp...

Blizzard is the one that enables and encourages roping.
sadly, this one is correct
