I (think?) the new track rewards casual players like me more than the old track.
I usually don't play that much. Made 2000 gold in the course of this last expansion. With a lot of the rewards being frontloaded, people that don't play that much get more in a less ammount of time.
I’ve got a question about the rewards system... what do the orange gems mean that I get after completing an achievement? I don’t seem to get any experience from them, even when they all the achievements in a chain have been fully completed.... what do they do?

They just show you that you've fulfilled requirements for completing an achievement. Most achievements give you just achievement points, only few give you xp. You can check out what each achievement gives you by clicking at it.

Thank you. But do Achievement Points mean anything? Or is it like “Whose Line is it anyway?”
Let's not let the outrage fade away ,this "fix "they are proposing changing 6 packs for 1350 gold is just another slap in the face of the community. After all the discussions and negative feedback they come with this peanuts and expect us to shut up?let's keep making our voices get heard until a real remake on this system happens.
I (think?) the new track rewards casual players like me more than the old track.
Oh, it absolutely does.
All of the maths to "prove" that the new system is worse has to start from a position of assuming a very regular amount of play (at least, doing every daily and every weekly quest without fail).
Given that the reward progression is rather front-loaded, it is quite obvious that if you don't play constantly for the entire four-month expansion period, you'll get more from the new system than the old one.

If you just did your dailies in the old system you could buy enough packs of each expansion to enjoy the game and continue to play standard. Now if you just do your quests there is no way that is happening.
One thing that I don't understand: If in the past all you did every day is 'finish your dailies' when exactly where you actually playing and enjoying the game?

I've asked this as well. And if that's all you do, why do you even care? I'm very casual and even I play more than that.
I suspect people aren't being honest about their play time at all, just using whatever suits their agenda.

The truth is that, for about a year now, I haven't had almost any fun playing HS (also because I play Warlock almost exclusively and Blizzard hasn't loved him for at least the last few months). I had some good time with Battlegrounds months ago (I even was 8k rank at some point), but now it's Pay2Win since bad hero = low place guaranteed and I quit. So why am I still playing? I am F2P player from Europe, where my monthly salary is about 2000 US dollars (which is twice the average in my country, because I am an attorney and I earn quite well in the local currency), though I can't really afford to pay real money for packs and bundles. I have been playing since beta (started while still in college) and that's the only reason I was able to keep up with my collection. If I take a break, I will probably never be able to come back. I know that I should give it up but I still hope that Blizzard will change something and game will be fun again (like in the old days).

I would usually play a lot the first couple of weeks of an expansion to try out a lot of deck ideas, I love to homebrew. Doing my dailies with my morning coffee enabled me to do that. Sometimes I would play more, but not too often. Only if I was in danger of not hitting rank 5. I always hit rank 5 diamond or legend for the rewards. I think most f2p do it this way.
Emm when will I actually get access to all this gold I'm collecting? I mean, the exp. is out now, I'd really like the couple of hundred extra gold I already got in there.

Well that's literally wrong lmao.
If your casual doing your quests every 3 days literally gets you 150 gold minimum. Doing it this way now with this new system doesn't get you anything after level 15. You can literally amass more than 6000 gold in 4 months by doing the quests every three days. Now you won't even get close to level 50 and you will get 3000 gold at most, which does fuck all to make you a deck for a new expansion.
One thing that I don't understand: If in the past all you did every day is 'finish your dailies' when exactly where you actually playing and enjoying the game?
Now there's an old-fashioned attitude!
21st century kids don't play games for enjoyment! They play games to earn pixels!

maybe some people just don't have enough time, but enjoy the game, for example, I am not at home every day, I have not so much time to play the game every day, so I tried to play the game every 3 days to finish all quests at once jumping to game for 30minutes, and when I had time I played the game like 3-4 hours a day, that happened maybe 2-3 times a month, in that time between expansions I was able to save up to 7000g for next exp, so I bought big bundle and ±70packs with gold, so 150 packs was enough for most cards of the collection and dust to craft cards I wanted, but with this system I might not be able even to reach max level because I just don't have time and even if I did reach max level I will not get enough stuff, that's the problem, I love the game, I love wanky decks, I am playing the game since BRM, I bought most big bundles, but now, I am done... I am not willing to pay more for less stuff even so I have money to spend, It's not about collecting pixels..., maybe kids do that, but me as an adult I want to have fun and turn off my mind from of the daily work troubles, but with this new system you have to play the game every day for min. 1 hour

No you don't. Hop on every few days, do your quests, and you'll hit level 50 in the new system.

You can easily calculate this, to reach level 50 you need 196200 XP in 12 weeks! weekly quest: 2x 1750 + 1x 2250= 5750 total: 11.350 XP per week! 11.350 XP X 12 weeks = 102.000 XP
So you need to grind out 94.200 besides the portion given from the quest.
94.200 / 400XP per hour = 235,5 Hours / 12 weeks = 19.625 hours per week! By doing the quests you will spend time what will give XP, so you should be able to do your quests within these 20hours per week on average 2.8 hours per day!
So it's not, just do your few quests and you will easily get 50! you will have to put in some more effort besides your quest. Unless you take 2,8hours every day to clear your quest!
Someone pointed out my calculator wasn't working correctly, I forgot daily quests and it's every 17 weeks and not 12. This is a fair assessment so I can't leave these numbers up with a clear conscience. Hopefully, the following is more accurate:
196200 / 17 weeks = 11541 XP per week 11.350 XP per week x 17 = 192.950 daily quests 1000 X 7 = 7000 x 17 = 119.000 - 311.950 XP from doing all the quests in 17 weeks Stormy is right you can hop on and do them and achieve level 50!
So you would need and extra 2 hours per week besides the time used to complete weekly/daily quests. Without taking into account the extra exp gained by completing the quests themselves...

The timespan of an expansion is roughly four months, not less than three.
You seem to have forgotten that daily quests exist, despite the fact that the guy I replied to talked about logging on every three days to do his daily quests.
11.350 XP X 12 = 136,200, not 102,000 - invest in a calculator before posting maths.

I dont know if this is right topic to complain about it but one of my weekly quests is to have an arena run with atleast 4 wins.
why the fuck is it possible to have a quest that requires me to spend gold/money to complete it?
Before anyone say re-roll, this quest WAS the re-roll. I sure hope i can re-roll it again tonight or i'll not be a happy chappy

Stormy is right you can hop on and do them and achieve level 50!
" In the beginning, there was nothing, which exploded."
How about daily quests? 1000xp per daily quest x 12 weeks*7days/week = 84000 extra exp.
94200 - 84000 = 10200 / 400 = 25 hours, 25 hours / 12 weeks = 2 hours/week
So you would need and extra 2 hours per week besides the time used to complete weekly/daily quests. Without taking into account the extra exp gained by completing the quests themselves...
