I kinda loved theorycrafting streams from Scholomance. I felt that almost every streamer played different decks and interesting ideas, some of them ended up sucking, others seeing a place in the meta. But yesterday I felt the opposite. Most of them played the same decks, and left a hecking lot of cool ideas. And also, tended to play more control and slow matches. Theorycrafting streams are cool when they show you a little of what the expansion can do. Yesterday I saw nothing about the expansion and purely streamers memeing with the gods. Also, I think a BIG error was that thing of community submitted decks... Some of those decks were GARBAGE, like that nonsense secret mage that Kripp played.
Note apart, another big error was Kripp... I get it, he has a lot of viewers. But dear god he is bad lol, I saw errors that a gold player wouldn't commit... Wrong trades, secrets missplays, 0 understanding about the deck he was playing. Dear god, go back to Battlegrounds dude lol.
What do you guys felt about yesterday? I only watched them for like two or three hours from time to time, maybe I lost the juicy content, I don't know.
I don't understand pure Batttlegrounds streamers doing "theorycrafting streams" either. It just looks weird imo 😕 Like "Of course it's interesting for you coolstorybob".
But, as always, if you don't like it – don't watch it.
I haven't really watched to be honest, had a little look at a couple of decks that Regis played but didn't watch the reveal stream etc. I don't enjoy Kripp, I don't like watching him, probably for unfair reasons. He just comes across really slimey and creepy and doesn't seem to know much or care about constructed at all. I don't really understand what type of viewer he appeals to, I get that he has a lot but ive never understood why.

The thing is I like theorycrafting lol, I'm just saying this one was bad. Of course I stopped watching it. I don't know who'd want to see 16 streamers playing the same decks in a new expansion. Geez I was amazed that nobody thought about decks like no minion mage, which can both work with Deck of Lunacy or C'Thun, with the new secret and corrupted card that casts secrets for drawing the hell of your deck.
I hate these prerelease streamer-only theorycraftings. I hate them since the first time they did that. Day 1 will never be fun again
"Don't watch them them yadayada" I don't watch them anyways but my opponents may so I'll be steamrolled by a bunch of tier 1 decks. Screw it.
This would still happen. As long as the cards are released ahead of launch people will build decks and discuss them. If you take away the stream it will be replaced by forums and discussion boards anyway and come day 1, there will be several decks that have been theory crafted and good to go.
What you want is everybody to start from scratch but people who make your argument completely fail to consider the very large amount of players who clearly don't want to spend hours building and tweaking a deck. They might only get half an hour or an hour to play and want to jump into games and enjoy semi competitive matches. Just because you personally enjoy experimenting etc that doesn't make it the 'right' way and given the amount of games that do exactly this, I'd assume you, my friend, are in the minority. So whilst that sucks for you, it's the right thing to do from the developer's and overall consumer perspective.

Tesdey (brazilian streamer) created a very fun Clown Priest deck, it was very enjoyable stream.
