I was really looking forward to the new achievement system. but getting to see it now, I have to say I'm quite disappointed.
The menu is super cluttered and confusing and there are way too many sub menus. I see just rows and rows of text and can't be asked to click through all the menus. And then there is absolutely no reason to play for these achievements since you can't compare achievements with your friends. The achievement points are confusing since they seem to serve absolutely no purpose at all other than to give your achievement progress some artificial score. which again is pointless because you can't compare scores with friends. also naming them 'points' leads to the impression that you get some form of reward for the points. instead it is just a completely meaningless score. Like I have 7600 achievement points. Is that good, bad? what does it mean? And then when you unlock a new achievement to get the points, you have to go into the menu click through all the sub menus and then click on the achievement. it is more of a hassle than rewarding.
I think either achievements should serve a social purpose so you can compare with others or you should get some small reward for them. Some achievements do give you additional XP for the reward track, but most don't. and that's even more confusing.
I like collecting trophies on my PS, but this has missed the mark for me. All in all this achievement system seems pretty pointless to me. Ironically, the sense of achievement you get from unlocking an achievement is basically zero.
this has nothing to do with the points that have been made.
Atm I agree the achievement system is cluttered and pointless. A simple starting point on improving it is allowing us to see in the friends menu how much our friends have.
My biggest issue with the achievements system is that it doesn't seem to take into account previous progress. Some of the more lengthy quests feel like they should be either completed or at least have significant progress on them; it makes it feel as though playing the game for a long time means nothing towards the achievements.
There also seems to be issues with the achievements that do take into account old data. For instance, I have reached legend in both Standard and Wild, but for some reason I have the achievement for hitting legend in Standard but not the one for Wild showing up.
On top of that, the system also seems to have some bugs. The game gave me a completion on the quest to control 7 of the same minion on your board when I had three snakes, three hounds, and a Kayn on my board. I'm not complaining too much about getting a free achievement, but it's a bit concerning that the system doesn't seem to be working completely correctly.

Yes...it sucks to make 700 gold in one day
Then you will make half the gold you used to get in an expansion life, good luck buys packs on the next one.
