Lul the priest hate movement is really getting stupid now. Whats next, hero power is op?
Its OK when other classes card wording are mentioned as complaint, but as soon as someone mention an actual broken class like in this case, it turns to "PrIeSt HaTe MoVeMeNt" and "sAlT ThReAd" in replies.
Surely you're used to people being stupid, especially on the internet.
OP is 100% correct, but Blizzard is a very very greedy company that is really behind a casino gambling system called Hearthstone that is merely disguised as a strategy card game. This game has been ridiculed for years now and it's now coming to a head.
So why is Hearthstone such a joke to the community? There are very basic card game rules that should not be broken for any game of this type to be taken seriously.
1. Exposing one player's hand to his opponent should never occur in any true strategy card game. It just makes Hearthstone more of a joke than it is.
2. Deck trackers should not exist. If players to so stupid that they can not figure out what has been played they should be playing something else.
3. There is already enough RNG in the game on its own - in fact well beyond reasonable standards. The current implementation of discover, add a card, copy hero powers etc just make it all the more and more retarded by the day.
Its very easy to see why this is the case when they break the very rules they supposedly implemented to make it a real game in the first place.
Only 2 cards of any type can be placed in a deck? (Broken by HS)
Only 1 copy of a legendary allowed a deck? (Broken by HS)
30 health max cap for both players (Broken by HS)
Fatigue system to keep the game to a reasonable length (Broken by HS)
Cards should not discover copies of itself? (Broken over and over by HS)
Mana system enforced by a turn based progression? (Broken by HS over and over again)
If they didn't want to make this game a joke they would allow discover mechanics that are strictly tied to both the cost, rarity and class of the deck. And no multiples would be allowed? Why because this is all common sense game breaking stuff. But they would rather break their own "game" fundamentals by allowing players to summon 7,8,9,10 mana legendarys for 2 mana cost. Durrr, durr...OOh isn't that exciting and fun guys? come and pay for these cards this expansion only for us to nerf them days before the following expansion!
So yes exposing the opponent's hand is just one of many bad concepts rife in Hearthstone today. That's why the competitive community and streamers have been dropping support for this steaming pile of dogsh*t posing as a strategy game for years now.

I absolutely agree! Especially:
1. Exposing one player's hand to his opponent should never occur in any true strategy card game. It just makes Hearthstone more of a joke than it is.
But I have read some comments from certain people, they say it is intended. As much that is true, my opinion is that it is wrongly intended by Blizzard, I agree with the main topic writer, no one should look at the other players hand. It is a card game.
I agree with the main topic writer, no one should look at the other players hand. It is a card game.
I do not understand this statement? It is Blizzard's game, they can make whatever they want with their game. "You cannot look into other players hand because it is a card game" is not guaranteed human right enforced by charter of the United nations.
So the way I see it, it is simple - deal with it, or play some other game that suits you more...
Is this for real, or is this a troll post? I mean, I'm having a hard time believing in this thread's sincerity since it's so ridiculously absurd. It's just hard to take it seriously. I mean, this argument made could be used for literally anything in the game.
I don't like X, it's not nice when X happens. Change it!....I mean, this has to be a joke, right? The premise is just a little too stupid to believe it to be anything other than a troll. Either that or maybe English isn't the OP's first language and it just came across that way? But even if this thread is intended to be sincere, why complain about something so obviously not a problem. Priests have a ton of issues right now and Lazul doesn't even make the list.
I'm legitimately baffled by this thread and the interactions going on in it. I think the troll threshold was officially crossed when it was suggested to send people to China. There's been enough personal attacks and pointless arguments at this point over something so trivial that I'd recommend locking it. It's just not providing anything that's constructive.
It is very absurd that a card needs a nerf or change because you don't like it or because they made you lethal with your own cards. You will probably have like 5 or 6 cards in hand but even so, even if they look at your hand for only 3 cards, there is a meta and it is easy to instruct what cards your opponent will carry and what archetype he is playing.
I can imagine your next complaint: "Chameleos needs a nerf"

Looking at your opponents cards is a mechanic, thus exposure of your opponents hand is a mechanic, I am not sure what you are talking about. Some agree it is a bad mechanic and some don't. Horrorwolf made some good remarks on mechanics, so actually your comment is "edgy", hopefully you are not a kid too, that would be ironic.
The replies are salt, not my opinion. Most likely priests, I hate it when a priest sees my 2x pyro and Naga. This means he or she will do anything to not get below 20, it immediatly kills a suprise otk because he or she has seen my hand. Same counts for any other card that has been seen, only a shuffle deck and secret passage counters it somewhat.
If it's a card from someone's hand they are after then just rng them a card from the hand, make the card 1 cost less I don't care, but don't show my hand.
If it was meant to be shown we would playing with the cards showing.
Just my 2 cents.
PS: To the few who write STFU, FU, who do you think you are telling me what I can think or say, go to China where no opinions are wanted.
If he thinks lazul is bad, I would love to see him playing when draconic OP was in standard, and that one WASN'T a legendary and priest had several ways to get even more.

OHHH! PDS! I like that, will have to use it from now on when replying to PDS sufferers like the OP.
Lazul is powerful for sure, but also a snapshot in time. It's usually played on curve or immediately when drawn and as a priest player, if I get to play Lazul near the end of the game when my opponent is up and has a pyro naga combo among the 3 cards I see, I'd probably crap my pants and spill some expletives. If I could just heal on up out of range I may have done so already. I don't play wild very much, so not sure what priests are running there, but as great as it is to see 3 out of potentially a full hand, I usually get a useful card an idea of the deck in general (but thought steal gives away a deck often enough too. Anyway, at the end of the day, the card is the card, there are plenty of painful cards, just have to accept they exist and be happy you don't play priest every game.

Hey, now! That's not fair to the OP - he hasn't made a complaint about the Priest class. Just a card that happens to be a class-specific one. It could easily be a Shaman or a Warrior card with the same mechanic and I get the impression the complaint would remain the same.

Lol... blizzard can ban u for this ;-)
I like it, won me many matches against shudderwok or quest mage. Copy timegate or just know opponent have shudderwok > hit dirty rat.
I think there's a mash of cultural norms, and language issues combining to make this one of the most ridiculous threads I've ever read.
Somewhere between it being "not nice" to use steal mechanics, and those to disagree are being "edgy"?

"Minion to minion the basic of all combats, only a fool trusts his win to an OTK"
I know exactly how that game would go.
T1 Gitaxian Probe
There is no T2 because OP rage quit and is crying on the floor
This is LITERALLY the purpose of this card...
Lazul will rotate out, while Thoughtsteal is Basic.
Meanwhile no mention of Star Student Stelina ?
Which can actually view and mess with opponent's hand.
And then what? There will be always be more other cards that can mess with opponent's hand/board/draw.
