So whoever chooses second gets a massive advantage over the opponent? How is that fair?
I assume both players get presented with the other's class and get to choose their deck with that information. It would be level playing field in that regard.
I'd still dislike the idea though.
MOst classes only have 1 truly good ladder deck at a time, so it would become far easier to counter pick based on class. That would give quite an extensive benefit to players with bigger collections and more decks they can build and keep ready.
So, I wouldn;t like it, unless it was a specific separate game mode, where people could opt to play this way.

No I think it wouldn't, MMR is always running in the background. This means you will get a more skill based battle instead of what is now, with 4 mana it can be game over because of wrong deck. Surely a 4 mana game isn't what we want.
I don't like the idea of people trying to hard counter each other, facing various matchups and adapting to what you are facing with the deck you have is what's the ladder is all about.
If you offer people the possibility to counter each other it would narrow down the ability to play a wide range of decks and strategy and would increase polarization, not even mentioning how unfriendly the game would be to beginner and F2P players with a smaller collection.

Lets say this only works after diamond 5? No beginner there imho?
Is there any chance they can have 3 cages in the ring, have one where they got to climb all the way to the top of the second cage, and then the 3rd cage to get the WWE Championship Belt. Have another Buried alive match, that would be awesome, where the opponent has to bury his victim in the ground.

What you don't seem to understand is that some decks will always counter each other. This is how people make decks sometimes; they lose against some druid deck and make a deck that will punish it. Your idea is like saying: lets make all classes equal. Not going to happen.

How on earth is that me saying let's make everything equal? I am saying that what is now is not so good either, sometimes a game is over within 4 mana or I get opponents who immediatly concede, this is something what I do too. I am just suggesting something that might make the game better or maybe not. Since when is suggesting something new forbidden? No need to flame someone for suggesting something.
I'm not flaming, and I didn't even say anything about the idea itself. I just think that the fact that some games end at turn 4 sometimes isn't bad. When I play face hunter and a druid ramps into that 7 mana card I forgot the name of, I usually concede. If anyone wants to play long games, you can always make a control warrior, control mage or something, and again, sometimes agro will just smash you in 5 turns. Its rng sometimes.
1: It is expensive for F2P players. It is difficult to create 1-2 decks as a F2P player. With this idea you'd be commited to one class only since you'd have to have 3 decks for each class instead of 1. Most people cannot afford that.
2: You can create 3 variants of the same deck with diffrent tech cards like anti weapon package, anti freeze minion etc. Tech cards are no longer an option that you have to weave in to you deck with their bonuses and shortcomings, you just always have the ones you need.
3: Classes with only 1 good deck will struggle even more since they would be the easiest one to target when choosing your deck since their core will be mostly the same.
Let's say you could choose your type of deck deck instead of first drawn 3 or 4 cards.
So let's say you get your opponent and according to it's class you can choose your made deck, maybe you feel like going tempo or control.
Would that be fun?
I think this is an interesting idea.
I personally have queue'd into a match and then immediately thought about switching decks based on my opponent's class.
Of course, this is all speculation. My opponent could very well be playing a deck that counters what I am considering switching to, or I could still be making the correct choice.
By having the freedom to switch like this, doesn't it encourage people to make multiple decks for each class and experiment with options that they may not normally think of? People might come up with new types of decks for a class we have never seen before in the attempt to have a better chance at an otherwise unfavorable class match up. This would add another layer to the player's choices, similar to how we can mulligan for cards in the beginning.
Obviously, this does not make it easier for F2P players who have a smaller collection, but other than that, this seems neat.

I think he means that you coose a class in the first step, so that you go in que just with a class, not with a deck.
Than you can choose between 3 decks you made for that class before, according to the class your opponent picked.
Sounds funny i think

Ah I see. Ok, that's a little clearer.
Not sure I would enjoy that so much myself, but thats just my opinion.
