Hi all, not sure if this was posted anywhere else, but I just got a window popping up after losing a game in standard a few minutes ago, which shows an option of converting runestones to arcane orbs. Did anyone else have this showing up? Screenshot attached
This was on a Samsung tablet, also the window is inactive, can't interact with it

It might be related to the new game mode, or it could have something to do with the new reward system that is supposed to get introduced with the next expansion. From the look of it, I could also imagine it is related to crafting, but that's just a wild guess.
Either way, it sounds like a new currency of some sort to me, which is usually not a good sign. In many other online games, new currencies oftentimes mean a premium currency that is going to drive the game's economy, and is only obtainable with real money or extreme amounts of grinding.

As answered by gg1989, it’s important to understand that Hearthstone is gambling and that some countries (and not only China) have laws against it. So if you experience addiction, remember that you are not the problem.
Well, it's definitely weird, and considering the time such bugs started occuring, it may be a result of some testing. maybe that was meant to be an actuall feature, which was for some reason rejected, but this little window somehow got into the game.

Bad enough it appears, but having to close the client because it freezes everything is just horrendous - I mean this thread is from September [I'm only experiencing it this patch] , and a quick search sees many complaints about it from then on other sites too, surely they are very aware of it

I would think they are aware. I don't understand their project teams, setup or resource so I don't know if this is something on a list to do that has just got a low RAG status. There may be a reason it hasn't been fixed yet.
Or maybe you're right, they know about it, can fix it, see all the complaints but lay back in their recliners, have a stretch and say nahhhh, can't be bothered with that, I'm going to have a snooze. I see this type of thing said a lot about many businesses, maybe business just really cannot be bothered at all? Just a bunch of lazy lay abouts who just prefer playing waste bin basketball than doing any work.
That will be the new currency instead of gold, also they are introducing new premium currency instead of raw cash, dont know what will happen with dust but they will change it also.
Most trash mobile titles have mutliple in game currencies in the name of obfuscation and in the aim creating a psychological disconnect between the player's wallet and in-game purchasing.
If Activision habve had to do this to get around China's new laws I'm sure they see this as a win-win.
It feels like HS has been glitchier than usual of late. My friends list flickers when it's opened. I had a mini game board froze on my screen when was on the deck selection screen. There was the Yogg bug and others. Part of me wonders if it has to do with the turn over with the dev team. There's got to be so much code behind the game. Even professional coders can't just sit down and read it like the Matrix. Still, I expect them to fix it (being pros and all), but the turnover would make sense for a reason. Could have something to do with this as well.
A spanish user playing in a PC inside Europe server getting the same weird screen at 19:13 on 13/December/2020:
The screen appeared once just after defeating a player in Wild Ranked mode (diamond 2/2) and going back to the Play screen.
Please notice the end-user CAN'T dismiss this screen, I can touch the left/right arrows (which by the way are buggy) and do nothing more. Clicking outside that thing or pressing escape, enter or space keyboard keys does not dismiss it, I need to perform a hard process kill in order to continue playing the game.
What a bug... another heavy one to add to the large collection of bugs since the implementation of the new (un)reward system.
I don't know and I don't care about gambling laws in China, but in my country this screen should NOT appear. The text is not even translated to spanish language.
I think maybe someone qualified to get the required attention by developers should try to contact them to inform about this bug.
Really, if someone can contact developers then please consider it, because otherwise if we expect they fix bugs without pressing... you know what will happen at the end of the day, right? (nothing of nothing).

The tablet bugged as the last micromummy build is very unstable. Had the same issue occur and it was discussed in Reddit.
