If you ever miss Highlander, just play Wild. Highlander/Reno Priest is one of, if not the best decks in the format, and you'll see a LOT of them. Reno Mage is also quite strong, but not as common anymore. And if you are on a lower rank, you'll see a lot more people trying Reno Warlock, Hunter, Shaman and sometimes Rogue.
I honestly wish Highlander would die out someday, but it probably never will.
So, I'll be happy when I can at least play Standard again without seeing Zephrys the Clown every third game.

That is an option. Unfortunately, I've only been playing Hearthstone for a good six months and so I don't have enough cards to score in WILD.
I really hope it dies. I hate most of the highlander cards because they feel cheep to play against and are uninteresting. The only highlander that was interesting to me was raza priest because it enabled a different style of gameplay. The rest are just busted cards that reward you just for playing them.
Personally, I'm not a fan, but I understand and respect why people like HL. IF they keep it, I really hope they introduce more cards like Bad Luck Albatross. I know many people don't care about Wild, but as a mostly Wild player, the power creep of more and more HL cards is worrisome.

are you seriously worried about the powercreep of highlander? i'm far more worried about almost every class having a board with at least15/15 worth of stats by turn 3-4
Well, in april all highlander cards will rotate and with the new expansion no new ones have been added. That could be a sign.
Even without the synergy cards highlander works well.
It kinda get's carried hard by Zephrys in the current rotation. Also, without Zephrys there is not that much of a reason to play Highlander.
Zephrys and Dragonqueen definitely give it an edge. Thing is, i noticed that i didn't really need them in most of the matches. Mainly because of how dynamic highlander decks are. 30 different cards bring alot of possibilities. Maybe a bit highroll yes, but the potential amount of combinations can be very high.

Hi Guys,
do you think the last days of the Highlander are numbered? I hope not, as I continue to enjoy this mechanic a lot.
What's your opinion?
Why should that happen?

I hope they do something different. Such as effects like " If the only minions in your deck are dragons, x happens" or something.
imo bomb warrior already killed it.
That´s the only deck who counters HL. Last meta we had the Albatross and many people played HL nevertheless.

I hope not, highlander decks are challenging for build and pilot (except the hunter one of course).
Meta decks like rogue aggro pratically build and play by itself.
I hope 'discover' dies not highlander. Overused crap of a keyword, it already ruined Arena, get rid of it before it ruins constructed

I don't want Highlander to go. I just want Zephrys The Great gone.
Two more expansions still to be announced before that moment.
Every deck dies out, that's the reality of Hearthstone.
Dead but dreaming

This year yes, but they will continue to be played in the wild. There are probably more cards in the future that benefit the highlander decks.
