Honestly card needs to be 6 to 7 mana to see any play and have like 4 6 taunt body else its too slow.
I mean, 6 mana? Sure, why not? That's only a Possessed Lackey with +2/+4, taunt, battlecry instead of deathrattle, and the ability to summon two big demons instead of one. There's no way that'd be too powerful.
Revert nerf on Possesed lakey then. Also power creep is a thing. I am just saying what it takes for a card to be considered worth playing/worth making deck around. More to the point good thing u dont have a 4 mana guy with okeyish stats that does same thing but better.
A bad card with a bad effect gets even worse. But no duts refund?! That's a clever move by Blizz. By reducing the cost, it's not a real nerf even if the card get's from unusable to even more unusable. It's a balance "change".
4yi: I'm posting this, but I even don't own this card.
That's a great card that got even better. I was surprised Blizz decided to buff her...
Every big demon printed will be insane with her...
Anyone remember Dragoncaller Alanna? Guess not. Now that's some terrible stats for mana cost, yet it was staple in all Big Spell Mage decks.
Cards like this are played because of their effect, not their stats.
Yes, and her effect is still bad.
Yes, she's bad now just as the whole deck is because it's too slow for wild, but back then it was a very strong deck in standard and Alanna was one of the win conditions.
But that's not the point. The point is that for cards like this stats are the least important thing. However, mana cost is important. So being at 8 mana, even with reduced stats, is a buff for Archwitch Willow.

I would play her in Zoo if she cost 6 and was a 4/6 taunt.
The people in this thread are missing the point; it's not whether this is a buff or nerf (it's quite obviously intended as a buff) but rather - does this change how the card is played, if able to be used at all?
In the case of odd warlock with Voidlords etc, this card is now obviously unplayable because it's 8 mana and therefore even. In the case of Polket it can no longer be reliably used to get dreadlords out.
Considering the above, the argument is they should then offer a dust refund.
I got a gold copy with my bundle, so while I wish it were considered a nerf, it really isn't.... I've been using it in a Quest Warlock, and I get 25/29 stats for 8, instead of 27/31 stats for 9... If you can count, it's clearly a buff.
"Oh 8 mana 5/5 how terrible" Without even reading the damn battlecry, You people are brats i swear. Its potential to bring out two big or medium sizes demons is why the statline is like that. At 8 mana IT MIGHT see fringe play in some cubelock, renolock, or demon decks. Do you want an 8 mana 8/8 that summons two doomguards, voidlords, or other big demons?
I guess it doesnt matter when you dont have any original deck ideas, can't have fun, and our a basically Blizzard's robot running Tempo DH in standard or Quest Mage in wild every season
This is a significant buff. Do you know anything about Hearthstone???
It's a Berf. A buff, and a nerf. On balance, probably a lot stronger, but I get folks being disappointed in the loss of stats.

As long as Priest exists Archwitch Willow is a dead card. Shame cause I have a golden one too.
I think you'll find it's a "Burf". And for those as old as me....
I'm a mog—half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend

May the schwartz be with you!
It's clearly neither a nerf nor a buff.A bad card remained bad.

Common sense would say it's a buff, but there are of course edge cases like the guy who said it messed up his odd deck.
For these edge cases I'd argue blizzard should always give full refund if card changed in any way, but we know that won't happen.

hard to tell if nerf or buff until we get to play it
