I just looked at the stats (hsreplay.net, premium) on how much decks win when going first or second. More specifically I looked at some of the most popular deck types: stealth rogue, face hunter, libram paladin and survival druid. The winrate for each of those deck is quite a few percent LOWER when going second (with a COIN), even though quite some of these decks use combo or spellburst cards.
This proposed coin nerf pops up all the time, even though there (nearly) never was a time in HS when there existed a deck that prefered to go second.
This keeps getting brought up and it is just as stupid every single time.
The reason you get the coin is because going second gives you a lower winrate. It's literally supposed to be good to counteract that. Nerfing it ignores the entire point of getting the Coin.

Maybe the way to do it is so that the Coin isn't a card at all. Whoever goes second just gets a Coin to activate on the other side of their portrait, sort of like a one time hero power. Then when you use it, it goes away.
Card text: Gain 1 Mana Crystal this turn only. Does not count as a spell.
A fresh idea that nobody has considered in the past 5 years
Does not count as a card. This is the accurate text for it so it disables Combo effects as well.
How about this, might as well scrap going first and second. These pointless threads are annoying....

This is a pointless change...
just no
Stop this nonsense
Make a button on the side of the player to gain 1 mana that turn. No card involved.
