If I got lethal and got extra mana, I like to show my hand, like sometimes people do that in real life card games, when the game ended people show what they woud've had.
Nothing to do with being a jerk for taking 10 seconds more.
In fact, I get more cases when someone either ropes on purpose, or closes the game when they are on the receiving end, which wastes a lot more time.
Almost every single time an opponent of mine has lethal but has mana to play extra cards he does. I understand that douche bags exist, but how can 90% of the people I play that are in this situation act like this? Nobody at all has any idea what good sportsmanship and bad sportsmanship is or why it's better to be a nice person than an asshole? Nobody cares if they're failing at being a human being as long as they win a children's card game? Is this what the world is now, and why it's in such bad shape, because a lot of socially-challenged people have been taught by a small amount of sociopaths that this is the way that you act?
This sucked before, but, with all the death and suffering in the world right now, this is all people can think of, treating each other badly, trying to make people unhappy, and just wasting their time on Earth? And, no, it's not people 'showing me their hand', or, most of the time, playing quests. It's just backward people gaining pleasure off of causing other people displeasure. It's sadism, and it's pitiful. I could understand an occasional asshole, but so many people, with no one even comprehending how shitty they are?
And, no, I'm not being overly sensitive. I'm a grown-up, and I care more about how people treat each other, especially at a time like this, than a silly little children's game. What almost more upsetting is that everyone's so desensitized that how people treat each other so badly in this game isn't even a subject. Yes, I should give up the game if I feel like this, but I like Hearthstone, and why should I let a bunch of little douche bags take that away from me?
I know life isn't perfect, but how can any human being, of any age, be that petty? I mean, we're talking about a hell of a lot of people learning stupid, anti-social habits that are going to be hard to unlearn and that are really going to hold many of them back. It's just really fucking sad, and no one would ever get away with any similar behavior in real life. If you can't see that, or of you think it's OK because it's online and not in real life, thn how fucked up is that, to think that you should only be nice when there are consequences.
There is a salt thread created for people like you please use it. People use extra cards to complete their quets and you are mad because of that? if you know person has a lethal there is a button called "concede" why do you waste enemy player time instead of pressing concede? you just create a problem for other players but dont think about your own actions. Just use a salt thread dont create useless topics:)
If I do it then it's either one of two things....I'm trying to complete a quest like casting 'x' number of spells or I'm honestly not aware of having lethal set up.
The second one happens way more than I'd care to admit but I can only get my playing in late at night sometimes after the baby is asleep and my brain isn't functioning properly.
I often do this to bluff (dont have lethal but act like i have by BMing), this has won me quite a few games actually, good to know there are still assholes out there doing it for real, that way my bluff gets more legit :D
If I'm being honest, I feel like hate friend requesting (where someone sends a friend request just to insult you) is dramatically more toxic than playing a bunch of extra cards at the end of the game. Especially when you consider that there are totally legitimate reasons why people would want to play out all their stuff on the last turn (xp, quests, "showing your hand" to show the opponent what they should have played around, trying to do something flashy/entertaining, etc.). Same thing with roping or leaving the game (people sometimes have bad internet connections or get disconnected, especially on mobile). Sure, they could be doing it because they are a time-wasting asshole, but I think it's more valuable to focus attention on behaviour that is unambiguously negative rather than things that might not be intended as harmful.
You know what’s worse? Aggro Players who Hit your face all the Time, then realize they are going to lose and insta concede. MOFU it’s my turn to hit your face now, don’t just concede.

If you react like this after playing hearthstone, I don't want to know what you are going to do after playing games with text / voice chat enabled.
Reading your article is clearly that you behave like a narcissist. You like to think of yourself as the path leader and you came here to teach us some sportsmanship since "Nobody at all has any idea what good sportsmanship and bad sportsmanship is or why it's better to be a nice person than an asshole"
I bet you didn't concede intentionally so you can come here to write this wall of text of nonsense drama.
This is the beauty of this game, it brings the best out of people (on top of being the most rewarding and generous game ever, besides Russian roulette of course).
1)They might have quests like play x spells or minions or etc
2)Two to vent off their negative feelings. You know why people are more toxic on the internet than their "real" life?Because of less consequences. We all have a dark side and if people vent off their feelings this way, well then let them. Who cares? It is cowardly no doubt but the majority of humans are simpleminded mortals so it is expected.
There can only be few supreme beings like me whose their dark side is as awesome as their good side anyway >:D
It's not about BMing, it's about having fun from extra visual effects, for the feeling of power for which many people actually play video games. It's nothing strange for me if someone play cards which was stuck in his hand for many turns and he was waiting for opportunity to play them, but it happened for him to win without using them. Is it realy bad to have fun in video game? Of course I do not say about situation where you leave your opponent alive for extra turns.
Because there are people liku u who cries. So kids can laugh at u. And ur playing the same children's card game where u lose and they even laugh at u. How sad yea? Go back to your mom
If I play extra cards, it's solely because I have quests to play whatever card. Not bm. Just trying to complete quests as soon as I can haha, especially if I only have time for 1-2 games in a given day.
Also, sometimes I like to show the opponent that, even if he could have removed my 20 attack minion or whatever, I would have had lethal anyways. More of a "truly well played, but it was checkmate anyways" kinda move. And I mean that genuinely, not in a douchey way haha. Take it however you want I guess.
Or just concede. Not a big deal.

This is the exact opposite of my experience, only 10% of my opponents actually do that.
When I know I've lost I pass my turn immediately without playing any card, and most of my opponents react quickly with the fastest lethal. I don't waste their time, they don't waste mine, it's good business.
Included in the 10% are all the people flexing with their fun deck with no intention to waste your time but actually share with you a nice combo.
From my experience playing this game, if you are nice to your opponent, they are nice to you. Maybe you should look into that OP. Especially if you are not playing cancer deck, I get overwhelmingly positive reaction when I play homebrew decks. And I'm a very slow player who ropes a lot, yet it has been years since I received a friend request to wish my mother cancer or whatever, I'm not even afraid to accept friend request anymore cause I know they just wanna ask about my deck code or talk about the game.
And for those rare opponents that spam emotes, rope intentionally and make unnecessary steps in their lethal turn, well first of all prevent the opponent from emoting you, rope as much as they do and I assure you, they'll lose all interest in BMing your in a couple of turns. As for the lethal, just concede man, there's a button, use it.
At high ranks most players do this, I never thought it was to tilt but rather to show your hand.
Like oh I didn't misplay because they had lethal 3 different ways... It's a good learning opportunity. Or look back at previous turns to see if there had been a way to play around this outcome earlier.
It feels better tbh knowing I got beat legitly rather than some mage RNG spam fest.
Some people may do it to try to tilt others but I always thought it was a consideration. What I don't understand is players obsession with the shortest matches possible. And if that's really what's getting you, like has been said already, just concede if you know lethal is coming.

Wtf post lol. Just concede, if not maybe U wanna see some plays?!

Just wanted to get it of my chest.
So someone showing a small amount of BM in a childrens card game is a sociopath? OP, I think you need to get out more.

Take a walk on the wild side...
I do it only that I have extra lethal moves I show him all the cards I can finish him of so he doesn't think that I won with luck or he is unlucky.
Ppl can do whatever the fuck they want in their turn.
Two reasons:
1)They might have quests like play x spells or minions or etc
2)Two to vent off their negative feelings. You know why people are more toxic on the internet than their "real" life?Because of less consequences.
