I'm so tired of everybody whining about something, that doesn't even happened . Will a Battle Pass come to HS? Sure! Does anybody know exactly how it will look like? Absolutely not! So why the fuck is everybody bitching around?
Because by bitching all together we can somewhat manipulate the outcome in our favor and for the good of all Hearthstone players. The community accomplished such a thing several times in the past, this case shouldn't be the exception. Does that answer you question?
I get that, i also get, that you can change if some things going really bad. But in this case, you don't know anything. Only a picture from a survey. Perhaps the participants of that survey told Blizzard, that this shit is totally unacceptable. Perhaps Blizzard is listening to them and perhaps they make another, better System, which is even better than the old System. Perhaps they'll anounce it and all the bitching and whining was completely unnecessary and useless.
I just like dealing with facts and fact is, that we don't know anything for sure.
I'm completely with you. But i hope we, as players, will get the best possible outcome. Because, blizzard knows this, we could very easily boycott changes and not spend anything.
I don't know, dude, could be too late. Not everyone is on the community side, many are only loyal to Blizzard.
Could be. But if the system is not rewarding/fun or worth the money people will start to riot very quick.
I don't think that's fair: I doubt any of them are "only loyal to Blizzard," nor do I think that they perceive themselves as not on "the community side."
Not trying to be an asshole, but you should pay more attention to some very well known users here I'm not going to mention for obvious reasons. They are always on Blizzard's side, no matter what. And when I say "always", it's literally always. Yeah, it sounds ridiculous as hell, I know, but that doesn't mean it is not the truth.
All of these people have different value calculations about what's a good deal and what's best for the game. And they all think THEIR view is what's best for the community.
That's exactly what I meant with being on the community side. Just because you want the best for you, the game and the community, doesn't mean you have to agree with others about what is best for them.
I certainly don't think you're being an asshole. And I read a lot of the threads and can probably identify a good number of the people you're talking about. But, on the flip side, there are far more people here who instantly denounce anything Blizzard does to increase profits. Every change is an effort to "screw the little guy," "reward the whales," etc. Usual collection of Marxist crap.
As for the second piece, I think we're in vehement agreement. My issue is with people who say "this is going to screw the community." It won't. There will be winners and losers to whatever change they make. Everything is a trade-off. Blizzard has to balance the interests of the various communities, AND do so in a way that keeps them competitive in the gaming industry. That's hard. And I'm willing to bet that whatever system they unveil will get changed soon after. Sort of like an expansion pack: you know something is going to get nerfed.

Yeah, but better to avoid getting sick than having to take a medicine.
Agreed, if you have a look to the comments they say that it will not replace Gold.
It won't replace gold yet. Just wait. MtG Arena added a battle pass about a year ago and it had nice rewards the first season but the rewards have consistently become less and less with each successive one to the point where now not even a year later and the rewards are about a 1/4 of what they were in the beginning and don't reward you enough gems to pay for the next one. The Battlepass will be a good deal to begin with but the rewards will be nerfed over time so that the best you can do is break even and anyone who doesn't play / manage their time optimally will end up at a loss and the only way for 99.9% of the game to pay for it will be to give Blizz real money. The game is done for, now it's on to the "milk em dry" phase before they phase HS out and only thing left will be p2p Battleground where the randomness will assure you can't play for free.

Ok, I agree with everything you said here, but we still must complain and let our voices be heard. If we don't, chances are some idiots forcing Team 5 to always make the major profit without thinking about the consequences will screw things like there is no tomorrow, and believe me, the world is full of those retards. Working for a company like Blizzard sometimes must be a nightmare.

Clash Royale did the exact same thing, generous rewards on f2p track at first and then slowly whittled them down to dogshit. I been f2p there so long that i already have a good collection, but new players now would be forced to pay to ever be competitive.
The 8k or so gold i grind between expansions is the only thing that keeps me in this game. Wild is an unplayable mess. Standard can be playable with the right nerfs. However, if Blizzard takes away 50 percent or more of the packs I can get at release of an expansion, there would be very little keeping me here. Which is no great loss to the beancounters, I don't give them money anyway. But this game has already experienced multiple exodus of players. They tried hard to bring them back with DH, but that was so poorly implemented that I can't see it being a net positive.
They continue to make the grind more difficult with each change, and each time they may eke some more spending from their player base, but they will also cause that base to dwindle. When you see expansions with massive powercreep. Fast nerfs to constantly change the meta to force players to craft new decks, the addition of paid standalones, the addition of a class to require more cards to be crafted in each set, and now a potential destruction of the gold income of all players....you have to think that blizzard is now focused on just getting as much money as they can out of their existing player base and are no longer concerned with the long term health of their game.
Imagine that you apply for a job and your future employer gives you a contract that says: 12 hour shifts, no free weekends, no lunch breaks, no vacation and all that for below average pay. Even if you knew that this contract is just initial version and it's fully negotiable, by being as terribly appalling as it is, I don't think you'd be interested to stay and hear the next one.
The very idea that someone (important) at Blizzard thought that this kinda concept of a new reward system is something acceptable, no matter whether it's final or not, is worrying to say the least.
I wouldn't mind paying for this battle pass if it's fair, but this abomination that they have presented before us and called it "rewards" I wouldn't touch with a stick, let alone pay money for it. I can only hope that there are some reasonable people left at Blizzard that will scrap this awful idea and make things right and fair for everyone.
They dont want ppl to stack gold and buy 100+ packs of their new expansion because then nobody gonna buy the bundle they offer! Now with the new system they wouldnt give you daily gold but they will give you packs from old expansions (most of the time cards that you already have). So, if you want to have early access to new cards from new expansions you MUST buy their bundle! The game will still be f2p but with way worst conditions!(they dont lie, but they dont say the whole truth too!)If you are a f2p that sucks for you!If you are a competitive player, that's is irrelevant for you because you will keep playing they game and buy stuff no matter what.

yep. they are sick of people like me playing for "free" and not spending real money every expansion. I used to buy the bundle, but that was when I still played WoW so I was actually just shifting WoW gold to my Blizz acct and using that to buy the bundle's so I still wasn't spending "real money". But I stopped playing Wow almost a year ago and for the last 3 expansions I bought a few packs with gold but that's been it. I mostly only play 1 class and sometimes switch to a couple other classes and there are a couple I completely avoid (shaman, priest) so I don't need every card. I also just automatically dust any gold cards that I already have regular copies of so when an expansion comes along I spend maybe 2k gold on packs, see what i get then dip into my stash of like 40k dust to craft the couple legos and epics I think i will need. Watch the "redo" of the basic / classic set will also eliminate a bunch of the better cards that fill out a 1/3 of practically every deck forcing people to spend more on new stuff also. The change in the end of month rewards has already resulted in me going from getting dust, some gold and maybe a card to me getting just 1 uncommon card, so I'm already receiving way less there than I did just a year ago. There are totally shifting from trying to keep the game growing to just milking the few remaining players dry before they just shut it down completely for "Hearthstone 2" and forcing everyone to start over. I mean really HS is a mobile game first and foremost and very few of em even last this long.
i preordered in past and more then once plus i bought a few of the lesser bundles , this every time that my dust was finishing, but now i feel robbed of my investments in the game in tems of money and time because now if i want continue to play standard i am forced to buy preorder, this is absolutely horrible not only for free to play players but for everyone that don't preorder very often

We'll have to wait and see. It seems likely that this will put f2p players at a massive disadvantage.
When I started playing 5 years ago I invested a fair bit of money because I love collecting and really wanted to own a lot of (golden) legendaries. I'm also a Wild player, with a little bit of Standard sprinkled in. I've been f2p for over 2 years now. I think I only bought the welcome bundle - that was a good deal.
Standard has grown on me. I like Scholomance and I like the current metagame. Assuming the pass will make it difficult to keep up as a f2p player, my strategy will be to do exactly what everyone recommends players NOT to do; I will focus on Standard only and cut into my Wild collection to keep up with the metagame. Eventually I will be without much of a collection, at which point I'll quit.
I like Hearthstone, but I kinda hate it too. My massive collection is keeping me in the game. I must be addicted or overcommitted. I see this as a good path to go down because it leads to only one outcome; quitting. Hopefully I'll have fun with the next couple of expansions as my HS journey inevitably ends because my collection is dwindling down.
