That's what pisses me off. I'm all for constructive conversations about the future of things. This is far from that. This is spoiled children doing nothing beyond throwing tantrums.
i already said it many times, this battlepass wouldn't be a problem with just a single change, NOT REPLACE THE DAILY QUESTS, i wont offer a complex solution, when its an obvious simple one, do you want to remove 10 gold every 3 victories, ok i take it, but something that a lot of games with battlepass games have in common, is that those let you progres if you dont pay the battlepass, sure the bp has great rewards, but those are an ADITION, not a SUBSTITUTE to the normal game economy. and i can tell you that fet playing a lot of free to play games with battlepass and finally buying the Avatar battle pass on smite myself after a while playing because the game never denied me the option of getting content by completing free quests every week and i was already enjoing it.
If it is Blizzard's plan to try to lure back CCG players who relegated Hearthstone to a number two game then it is a very bad idea. They will just play even less. One of advantages of Hearthstone that you can play once per three days and get a decent chunk of monthly rewards but they are taking it away.

In my opinion, HS is an extremely slick and accessible number two/casual game, and I like it exactly like this. As a competitive PC game, I find the randomness (or maybe really it's just losing to randomness) super frustrating - whereas sat on the sofa with an Ipad completing daily quests I'm absolutely fine to get my ass handed to me by a ridiculous draw or a lucky Puzzle Box etc. Striving to be the best possible - or at least the most prolific - hearthstone player I can be isn't really something that appeals
This thread seems to be a massive mess of assumptions and misinformation. Instead of just read the headline and then joining the crowd in complaining, try actually reading and digesting all the information.
This isn't a leaked pass, it was a survey gauging consumer opinion/experience. There are likely a lot of different ones, some will include concepts that never go any further, others will chnage dramatically based on consumer feedback.
Literally tons of companies do this sort of thing. Stop freaking out about your gold, at least until anything official is communicated. They will more than likely take a concept, like a battle pass type idea and then gauge opinion on many different versions of that concept ranging from more consumer friendly options to more profit focused models. They will gather all sorts of information like reception to it, if people would be willing to pay based on that model etc etc.
They absolutely need something more rewarding than the current system and they are far better engaging with their player base as part of that process than they are simply making one and dumping it.

This dude explained it very well, so I am not gonna even bother with anything more:
About people complaining about other people complaining... in another thread there's a very good answer to why you should. Basically:
I get why you have it - you don't want to flip out about something that hasn't happened yet - but it's the wrong attitude. Your focus is on the wrong thing and it will cost you. You don't want to react to this afterit's a reality. Trust me. You need to react now, and react harshly.
Do you know why they're asking about this Battle Pass system? Because it's something they're clearly eyeing if not something they're already implementing. They're asking about it because they want to do it or are already doing. If this idea isn't squashed in its infancy, it will grow into something capable of dealing major damage. Possibly irreversible damage.
Don't wait until it's a disaster. Do something now.
To put that into an analogy, imagine your partner came to you one night and said, "You know, I've been thinking about cheating on you. How do you think you'd react to that?" If you started to get upset, that would be an understandable reaction. If the response to you being upset was, "I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like they cheated on you yet. They were just asking about it, geez," I doubt that would do much to calm you down. You don't want to react after the problem exists. You want to stop it from happening.
Again, the reason the question is being asked is because they are already thinking about massively slashing F2P rewards and they want to see how much they can get away with. The earlier and more viciously you fight against the idea, the better for everyone. Saying that this is just about getting feedback missed the mark out how downright dangerous this is to even be thinking about as far as we're concerned.
"Sure, but maybe they'll tweak the numbers", you think, "Maybe they scrap the system altogether". Maybe they will. But remember: they were thinking about whether players would tolerate a HUGE reduction in the F2P economy. They're trying to figure out how much they can get away with. They are thinking about whether they can do so and make you pay extra for the privilege of getting fucked with a special Battle Pass.
Say no now. Say no hard. Say no often.
They are literally asking "hey, would you mind if we screwed up a huge chunk of the playerbase" and you say that there is no point in discussion, because they didn't yet... Jesus.
Also let me tell you one thing - there is ALWAYS a point in a discussion. Even if there was no leak and this discussion was just a theory-oh, it would still be good, because it would be a discussion. By default it has both educational and entertainment purposes. If you don't want to participate - just don't do it.

You really didn't read and understand what I posted.
It's literally addressed to the fools in this thread saying "It's just a survey", "more F2P whining", "no point in discussing something now because it's not even out".
Imagine waiting until this shit is just right out of the gates to start discussing and saying how we don't approve it. Even if we followed the advice of these fools asking for that, they would just come with "Experiment 3,9k over 4 months first before saying how bad it is!"

You didn't read mine, mate. I quoted you to agree with you.
And, you think the Blizzard execs spend their days trolling Hearthpwn to see what FTP players think? I haven't seen a single suggestion of what someone who cares should do... Literally 95% of posts are entitled whining about what they deserve, and a few concerned paying players.

But you're getting mad about something that isn't even confirmed or official. It was a survey which many companies will do to gauge feedback. You and others like you are completely over reacting and showing that you don't even bother reading information before forming an opinion which is just ridiculous.

They have figured something out and want to release it. Now they do a survey for it. How bad has the survey to be for them, to not release it as it's now?

They already have a plan, including concretes. You think someone came up with this on a whim? Gaming community has seen a lot of backlashes provoked by introducing predatory mechanics. Discussion now can save a backlash later.
It's like with politics - you do not protest, when the new law is already in place, right? You show your dissatisfaction, when they WANT TO implement it.
Also as I and many others said, there is always a point in discussion. What you call whining, I call sharing thoughts. And it has exactly the same purpose as the survey - players express their opinion on the potential changes. If you call every discussion a whining, then I am really sorry for you, because you have to find many discussions "pointless".

i also answered this, when should i say something?, when there is an official announce?, at that point blizzard wont change anything. The survey serves a propose, to know wht people think about your idea, and, the idea is terrible. I wont waint until is to late to say something, and even at that stage there will be people who call me a crybaby that only complains.

Is there anywhere on the official Blizz forums to voice opinion on this? I'd very much like to say "Please Don't".
