I have seen a few warlock lists using Tour Guide over Kobold Librarian and I was curious if I'm not seeing something that makes tour guide better? In ever scenario I can think of the kobald is better, so is it just something new so people are playing regardless of power?
Kobold is generally better, but not strictly better, since there are situations where activating the hero power matters or where you want the cost reduction for next turn.

They can safe the 0 cost hero power for later use with sinergy cards, this is a huge for pain warlock.
So I've talked about this with a bunch of people, some agree some don't. But I feel fairly confident that tour guide in darkgare warlock is actually total bait.
Why? Because you really only want it on turn 1, maybe 2. And you really don't want it back from raise dead. It's also surprisingly weak when you're actually going off, because it doesn't actually net you a card. Darkglare is also a deck with boardspace issues, and cutting tour guide goes a long way towards helping fix that problem.
Essentially its good (but not insane) in the mulligan, and you really don't want it after that. Cutting the tour guide gives you more room to run pay off cards, which in my opinion are more impactful than extra darkglare activators.
If anyone wants to see what the deck looks like without the tour guides I'm happy to provide the deck code.
My goal here is to refine darkglare, and hopefully by asking the community to consider if it's actually right to run the tour guide we can determine if the card improves or weakens the deck.

This is the point pretty much. Tour Guide is permanent, so if you don't have mana to play a dmg synergy card, you can use your hero power next turn for free.
Still not sure if it makes it strictly better tho.

I'd probably run both.
Tour Guide is better in pain zoo Kobald is better overall
It's good with Odd Warlock I guess? If not for Odd Warlock, the class has Kobold Librarian already as Tour Guide I guess?
But hey, it's much better card than that Kobold Hermit. Now I can finally play basic totem on turn 1 at peace.
I like elementals and totems.
