FUCK Kaelthas. This card is the problem. Delete that card from the game and druid can stay. Why do they get to play BOTH Overflow and Survival of the fittest on the same damn turn and its turn 4.
It honestly should be nerfed to 9 or 10 mana and I think the card would still be super strong
I think the best way to deal with Druid, would simple be to HoF Kael'thas. Without him, the deck is still strong, and have a lot of mana cheats, but it is closer to being fair. With him however, it is nowhere near fair. It's disgusting and evil.
...The issue then would be that it would leave the game as a full on aggro nightmare, which sadly, always tends to pop up. Especially after Demon Hunter started to pollute the game.
I wonder if they learned anything from Ultimate Infestation. If they give a class with the ability to ramp up mana fast, also very strong lategame options , it will always create a negative gaming experience. Since unlike with aggro you actually have options to counter that, with the opponent having 10 mana while you’re at 5 it’s virtually impossible to overcome that.
A good counter back in the days were 1 drops that scaled in power, so they could easily race Druids that didn’t do anything in the first turns.... But tbh it was correct to nerf them, but they should also kept an eye on Druids ramping abilities.
I didn’t want to make a fuss about it, but having kaelthas on turn 4 with only two overload means survival of the fittest turn 5 and that’s just not cool. This deck wouldn’t be nearly as bad without kaelthas. Overgrowth is bad, bloom is bad, but it’s kaelthas that breaks it. I think blizz said something about free cards recently...
I can see Kael getting a 2nd nerf, no more 0 cost spells...
I have learned from the previous expansions. I opened my 85 packs, enjoyed the fact that I received 10 legendaries of which 4 golden and closed the game right after that.
I'm going to wait for 2 weeks and let the nerfs happen. When the meta stabilises, I'll open the game again and have fun.
The first few days of a new expansion are always the worst.
Blizz did say nerfs were happening shortly after the expansion, won't be a long wait. So many broken cards, including glide.

Just make the third spell cost 1 mana, problem reduced.
alright then... i was kind of okay with druid a couple weeks back
now it's just completely insane, it was just a matter of time until it reached a critical mass of cards that when combined break the game entirely
hopefully the nerfs come in quick
not to mention all the other bullshit aggro decks around, cherry on the crap cake, beautiful...
i mean, i just don't get it, bloody actiblizz hypocrits...remove or nerf cards from standard because we can't have that, nonono. just to bring them in later with more busted effects, the fuck is their problem???
Druid is ridiculous right now. I had one game where I played Kael'thas on t5 with Innervate + Lightning Bloom (so I have 1 mana to spare), cast the 7-mana spell that draws 2 beasts and gives them rush, drew the stealth beasts that draw me 2 cards when they attack so that I can draw 4 more cards, got Nature Studies into Innervate into Survival of the Fittest, plain ridiculous.
The common offender? Lightning Bloom. I don't see how the card can get nerfed though. Changing the cost or the mana gain makes it a worse Innervate and thus kills it completely, changing the overload to 3 makes no difference, I really don't see a way out...
About a third of the decks are rez priest for me which seems really odd as they didn't really get a lot of new tools (at least that I see put to good use so far).
Folks have often been still wicked salty about Res Priest in Standard without Barnes. All my point is that it isn't resurrecting a dead minion which is the problem, but a clean function of body-for-mana. Res often accomplishes that, but when it's not resurrect--like Druid isn't resurrect--it can still be a big problem.
at least you're playing against new decks, im just playing against the same tightly crafted meta decks from last expansion, nobodies trying anything new. usually the first week or so is a blast because everyones fooling around but nobody seems interested, which is wild because this set has so many cool new cards. blah.
spell power mage is an absolute blast, i know it wont be meta but its really fun when playing against the few other people trying out some new sub-optimal (maybe just for now) loadouts. i guess DM me if youre playing with new decks and wanna just play around lol
I know thats not what this thread is about im just kinda blown away nobody is trying anything new, im not even at particularly high rank lol
Im still playing Galakrond rogue cos that's all i have
I opened 30 packs with gold and wasn't enough to build a decent deck, but i could replace the wargen and thr 3 mana 4/2 stealth minion. Waiting for the nerf to craft something because otherwise i would end with an useless deck, i dont want to take the risk
Ideally i want to continue with rogue because i invested around 2k dust on it and that's a lot for me, but i have my eye in token druid cause looks decent and cheap
It's not like everyone has spare dust, gold or will to pay to build fun decks on day 1, specially at low ranks, and Im sure im not the only one
Id appreciate if someone could delete the other comment lol

To be fair, last time we had DH, and that Expansion before that we had Shaman (I believe) Wrecking shit in the early weeks.
So now its Druid's time to shine in the Spotlight (until they get mauled by the Nerf Hammer, just like the others)
Who cares! Ace hunter kreen is awesome!!!!!!!!!!
The ramp mechanic has always been toxic as fuck, why Blizzard thinks it's a good idea is beyond me.

Good old Trump loves it too!
As if this wasn’t foreseeable...

Big time! I discussed this with my friends.
Bloom is a worse innervate/coin, problem is the other cards.
Blizz did say nerfs were happening shortly after the expansion, won't be a long wait. So many broken cards, including glide.
Overgrowth needs to get nerfed to 5 mana.
Just make the third spell cost 1 mana, problem reduced.

Next game I tried a token druid. I was on coin and my first turn was Gibberling into Coin into Nature Studies into Treenforcements for 7/7 stats on board. 2nd turn was Lightning Bloom into Blessing of the Ancients to make it 12/12 on the board. I killed my opponent on turn 4.
The common offender? Lightning Bloom. I don't see how the card can get nerfed though. Changing the cost or the mana gain makes it a worse Innervate and thus kills it completely, changing the overload to 3 makes no difference, I really don't see a way out...
Bloom isn't a problem. Kael'Thas is a huge one. THat card needs a rework.
y all think that giving one class so many 1 and 0 cost cards wouldnt result in a game state as such ?
About a third of the decks are rez priest for me which seems really odd as they didn't really get a lot of new tools (at least that I see put to good use so far).
You realize this is a you problem, right, OP?
day one threads like this always make me feel good. reminds me that quitting HS was the right move
