We've seen games in the past being built up and hyped, it happens all the time. However, is releasing info too soon a mistake? We're over halfway through the "summer months" and still no beta and no more information on when it's coming. Do you guys think this is a mistake by Blizzard by promising beta and releasing game info in a trickle down way? You think they hyped it too soon and the excitement will die off before release? Discuss. :)

By the way I see people pretty much frothing at the mouth to get their hands on beta I'm going to assume they didn't hype it too soon at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure that because the information was released on time, and kept going there's been plenty of chance for enthousiasts everywhere to start theorycrafting, and asking questions, and actually playing the game in various ways. That kind of feedback, before the game is even live, helps the developers get an idea of what the community thinks and expects, and is highly needed.
In short, no I don't think they've hyped it too soon at all.
hype dies down, then once they announce a beta date it will shoot up again. This is all just for us core players anyway, the majority of players either dont go on forums or dont even know the game exists yet.

Summer started on June 21st. It hasn't even been a month yet.
@The people talking about the game losing popularity: The game isn't even out yet. You shouldn't expect to see a lot of conversation about the game when fansites like this one are putting out voice-over clips as news stories.

I'm well aware of the official summer start date. Hence why summer months was in quotations. However, there are a lot of people that associate summer with the months of June, July, and August. I appreciate your reply not being in a sarcastic manner though.
Yeah I feel like the game has lost a little hype but then right when you think hype is dying for the core players they release a new video and it will all start back up again. Blizzard takes their time to make games have as much quality and depth as possible so that it will live up to the hype. I'm not worried about Hearthstone being an amazing game and the players making the community great!

If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!
Die off i don't think, but will get lower.
The true hype is already gone, you can see much less talks and stuff about the game.
