8 classes got "Studies" discover spell except Demon Hunter and Paladin right? DH is understandable because its kinda in different dimension than other classes but why the hell they doing this Paladin? Couldnt it be something like Discover Libram card or something?
They literally printed 2 kind of cards for Paladin. For BIG DUEL Paladin or Buff spell Paladin which is cannot be merged together. You need cheap minions to buff you idiots. You cant keep board clear until you draw your Duel with Paladin 3 or 4 times board clear combos while others classes throwing infinite resources to you.
I guess we try more murloc Paladin next year while other classes got aoe removals
I played 5 years of Hearthstone and always been a huge Paladin fan. For a f2p player i gave heart and effort to collect full golden Paladin set of every single expansion. In just last 2 years i mained OTK Shirvallah Paladin in Galakrond madness , i was working on Secret and Quest Paladin while Reno /Highlander/ getting 60% winrate. Every single time i see Paladin card reveal it just got countered or just powercreeped by common card from other class.
After soo much effort first time im thinking about disenchant this goddamn sucked golden collection and just play Hunter or Warrior like others.

Exept also rogue. Pala received pretty good cards in this expansion. Please stop complaining until we will know if Pala sucks or not. Pala has been also tier good for long time in standard and wild. So, I don't see the problem if pala will sucks again. But in any case, he received very good cards.
I understand and I think there is some legitimacy in the Paladin outcry, but as a Paladin main too I am more excited by this expansion than most other recent ones. I thought today's reveals were meh other than Blessing of Authority. Judicious Junior may be the most uninspired card of the set, but otherwise I think it's gonna be a good set. I also play almost only Wild so I look at things from that perspective

Paladin main here as well but only do Standard. I am also excited to try out Mid-range paladin with Lord Barov, Ceremonial Maul, High Abbess Alura, Devout Pupil, Argent Braggart and First Day of School. These fit in my Highlander deck as well which lacks unique cards as such and could be the value it needs. The only thing that Paladin lacks is true card draw and card generation from cards. I was hoping we would get a study card like the other classes but sadly it wasn't meant to be.
Sorry, you think the reason that paladin sucks is that it didn't get a study card? You think a 1 mana card that discovers one card and reduces the cost of the next same kind of card by one would be THAT impactful? More than that, you think that it would be a card that discovers a LIBRAM card, a mechanic from a different set ENTIRELY that already has support within that expansion?
Your disappointment is your own. If you can't find a way to make a working deck with "5 mana, give a minion +8/+8", that's your own fault. Paladin has gotten some of the strongest cards it's seen in a long time, stronger than almost anything it had during year of the dragon. It has a 3 mana 3/2 that can clear the board after it dies. You want a card that discovers librams.
No 1 mana discover card is just example. 3 mana 3/2 is good? lol how you gonna kill that now huh? That card is so good with Risky Skipper but on Paladin it need consecration to clear the board. When you wanna clear the board you dont need it next turn you need it now! You never can trigger deathrattle efficiently.
You say 5 mana 8/8 is good, thats not bad but it cant finish game and if buff cant finish game it will removed effieciently or get silenced . How many games you played with pure or just libram paladin this year? Probably not so much right? I played goddamn 700 games with it and i think its enough to realize in turn 5 you will have no minion to buff or will be just dead. If Lord Barov's deathrattle was spellburst it would have been atleast get close to other class legendaries. I these agree Paladin cards are not bad but they are not even close to power level of other class cards.

As I said in another post, Pure Paladin ISN'T the only deck that can be viable.
or Burrowing Scorpid. Play the Blessing in turn 5 and don't attack with that minion. Turn 6 you can go face with it or even play something like Blessing of Might + Blessed Champion so now your Burrowing Scorpid is a 5/2 + 8/8 = 13/10 + 3 atk= 16/10 x 2 atk = 32/10 to the face.
I know there are classes that can deal with this but others don't, It won't work always but it is viable.
Remember not all decks need to be Tier 1 to be playable. I think a combo deck like this would be FUN.
Paladin is fine, people just have to stop playing "PURE" paladin. Like, what's the payoff realy? A 7/7 that vommits a bunch of unplayable garbage into your hand and then you die.

3 Paladin cry threads on my board at once! How do I choose from all this variety?

Dazzle and dominate your foes as the Jewelcrafter!
manz need to know that priest needs buff. screw paladin and other classes.

You want a Risky Skipper for Lord Barov? How about Animated Broomstick? Which also synergies with all the Divine Shield minions of Paladin. (You can also run it with Teron Gorefiend if you try Quest Paladin).
You want Blessing of Authority to not be easily removed or silenced? Just run a stealth minion like Escaped Manasaber
