I have purchased the 80pack bundle and got 5 golden packs... now the question is: those packs also follow the no duplicate rule right?
How are you going to open them up? golden packs first, followed by the 80 normal packs? or are you going to open up all your regular packs and then open the golden packs.. what are the chances of getting a good card in golden? how can you increase the chance of opening a good card in golden?
My theory is to open up a couple of packs until i have a good chance of opening up a playable rare card in my golden packs... lets say when I want 5 out of 9 rares that look playable.. then i open the golden packs, to (hopefully) get a golden copy of the rare i want... and if i happen to open up a legendary or epic, thats a bonus..
what are your tactics?

Since u get a legendary in your first 1-10 packs i was thinking of opening like 3 or 4 normal packs then open the golden packs to hope i get a golden legendary...but i don't know really..id also would like to hear what others will do

I was considering doing the same thing, it's just whether the legendary in the first 10 packs includes gold, or if the gold packs have their own timer (which is more likely i think), regardless i'm going to open 5 normal packs, if i don't get a legendary, open the golden ones and see what happens.
The golden packs have a separate pity timer. Either open them first or last incase you want to narrow down on what you can get in golden. As then you will have more ”collected” cards. The risk though in opening them last, is that you might have already collected a normal legendary or other rarity card in normal and thus that won’t be a possible outcome from the golden packs that are remaining. P.S. Ill open the golden packs first, then I will craft golden legies I want and after that open the rest of packs.
Yes, there is absolutely no pity timer for any golden packs, and they dont count towards the regular scholo pity timers, so you can open them whenever you want.
Oh yeah. True no pity timer, but they still have their own separate logic whatever that is and the cards opened do count towards the collected cards as those cards wont be any different then other cards opened from the same set.
Maybe this is reading things too literally, but weren’t the prior posts about golden CLASSIC packs, vs golden scholomance packs? Could they be treated differently? And if so, opening strategy could matter...

it says golden packs, so i think they use the same logic for all golden packs from any expansion...

I thought about openning the goldens last, otherwise can't guarantee all rares would be dups. Would that be a good strategy?
im gonna check the cardlist and determine what rares i want to have in golden...
then im gonna open packs and check howmany rares are left for opening... and howmany of them are the ones i want in golden.
im gonna make a calculation about how high the chance is to open a desired rare in golden from the golden pack, and when i have a good chance of opening a rare in golden that i want, i start opening up the golden packs...

I think I will open them first and let RNGesus take the wheel, maybe I'll get lucky with some nice cards. I'll have around 145+ normal packs so I think it will be the best option to open then first. I think if you have fewer packs it's better to open the golden ones last.
There's a difference between the pity timers (40 packs for a legendary, 10 packs for an epic, and so on) and the rule that will grant you a legendary while opening your first 10 packs of any expansion.
That being said, the golden packs DO NOT count as part of your first 10 packs.

OTK players suck.

See bluepost in the classic golden bundle thread:

but they do keep in mind that you dont open duplicates right?
