Like I am literally genuinely satisfied with the State of Standart for the first time since.... I don't know, Classic ?!?
While I'am well aware there are not enough cards to choose from right now, but starting with Yolomance the Meta wont be as balanced as it is right now for quite a while...
The meta is more cancer than ever before. The meta is full of otk noobshit because the aggro decks are gone. Remember by playing stall otk you force other people to play aggro and make it even worse for everyone.
Clearly you weren't playing during the Un'goro meta, the most healthiest and most fun that we've ever had it and probably will ever have.
Ungoro is waaaay overrated it was when the, "turn 10? hearthstone doesn't know what it is" meme was at its peak it was jsut 15 aggro decks ith a different coat of pian consisting on going wide, Aoe buffinf your board and trying to kill your opponent on turn 5, yeas discover mage, quest warrior and arguably quest rogue had a different paly style but theyw ere the exception rather than the rule.
Hum, with so many decks having huge mana cheating cards and RNG cards you find this satisfying? Druid can drop a 7 mana card on turn 4 and a 10 mana card on turn 5. Mage can cast a 10 mana casino spell on turn 6 and Hunter gets an 8 mana minion charge card on turn 7, Rogue gets a significant amount of heavily mana discounted cards. Yep, nothing is broken, very healthy meta.
I don't play much standard atm, so I can't say if the latest round of nerfs *finally* had enough impact - but I will say, before then, this meta was atrocious due to how many people were playing demon hunter.
You have regular players who wanted to play one of the strongest classes, as well as new players who it was easily the best choice for thanks to the strong basic and classic package. It just gets a bit much - especially when I largely play jank-league wild, and you get 100% standard legal demon hunter decks popping up in there.
It's probably exacerbated because I personally don't enjoy the class at all. When I have a quest for them I play odd-DH in wild - because it's a good deck while actually taking something different from wild that they can't do in standard - but even then, completing said quest is such a chore. I guess that's the problem with being the new class - the other 9 classes have so many expansions worth of cards there are plenty of different, viable options (at least jank-league viable) that you can go with, whereas demon hunters have far fewer.
By balanced you mean rogue and warlock are broken and you are playing rogue vs other rogues and warlock? They nerfed all rogue bad matchups so it's dominating
I don't care about standard, but I can safely say that with the disappearance of most muppets who used odd dh in wild, it's a much better time. Even if more control decks start teching in rat which isn't amazing, I'd rather lose to rat than to some mindless aggro shite so yeah, by far the best meta since dh was introduced as a class so far as I'm concerned.
By balanced you mean rogue and warlock are broken and you are playing rogue vs other rogues and warlock? They nerfed all rogue bad matchups so it's dominating
No brother, I'am a Hunter Main and passionate Rogue Hater so probably my thread is just a "liiiiiittle" biased altogether xD
However, Rogue matchup got a LOT easier, it was probably the most sadistic deck months ago.
I agree however, new OTK Warlock is hella annoying as well, and so is 0 Mana Puzzle Box and these other Mage Shenanigans.
But apart from that Hunter is just in a fairly good spot, and always has a fair shot against every deck, especially now with these disgusting DH cards out of the way.
Warrior is kinda fun too, albeit very weak Priest Matchup.
Even Shaman might soon become viable again, at least theres appearing a Flash of Light at the end of the Tunnel..
Highlander hunter might be a bit too dominant now, but otherwise I think the meta is pretty good. I thought the meta was pretty good before the most recent round of nerfs, even. Pretty much every class now has a playable archetype (and many have multiple), nor is it highly polarized. Even if you queue into a bad matchup, there's still a good chance you can win. It doesn't feel like you might as well just concede because you queued up against the wrong class.
Playing since like Classic too. I would the say the most fun I ever had in this was either GvG or Whispers. After that I just logged in expansion day, opened packs and went on a hiatus over and over again.
However, Rise of Shadows was the deal breaker for me. I legit had fun in this game again. Then Uldum came, which was ehhh. Descent was also ehh since I hated dragons. Ashes is kinda cool. Yeah.
So if I had to say the best meta I would say RoE or Whispers.
WARNING: I am not a competitive player, I play standard ladder, and play for fun.
Clearly you weren't playing during the Un'goro meta, the most healthiest and most fun that we've ever had it and probably will ever have.
Nah, I think I'am good.
I still remember how 90% of the playerbase called it shit, worst quest, terribad etc. and then it came out and destroyed every other deck. It was hit by two separate massive nerfs and it was still being used in tournaments after that. This card for me mainly serves as a reminder how utterly wrong people can be about how good a card is if they haven't seen it in play.
I wouldn't call this "Best meta ever". I'd say it's...fine. Mainly because most of the playable decks right now are just kinda blah feeling to me haha.
But, having said that, everything seems to be finally balanced. It's a bit sad to see DH has fallen off the face of the earth (not even a DH main, just had fun playing against them). There are only a few polarized matchups, which are at least obvious when you're playing it (ie questlock vs bomb warrior), but everything else seems to be within the 40-60% sweet spot.

There’s barley any cards. The meta is extremely boring right now and honestly I can’t wait for the next expansion to come out.

Why don't we talk about what's leaving the Meta next month.

great meta, agro face smorc vs infinite value overpower control
What's wrong with that? Isn't that the essence of HS matches?

Best meta ever, worst meta ever and so on. I am so sick about this exaggerated comments. It seems that one thing can be only black or white.
