I feel like 8 damage for 7 mana over two turns is crap. I don’t run it in any of my DH decks after the nerf. I’m still shocked to see people playing the card. What do you guys think?
i'm just surprised how so many streamers especially and many of the people i've read on forums say these nerfs are not a big change
yes, they are. it actually feels pretty awkward and terrible when it only hits for 4, especially there are quite a couple 5 health minions out there that you can't kill off right away, so it basically does not much at all
warglaives at 6 is also horrendous, soo much tempo loss and you really want to play other stuff on 6
tempo kayn with 4 health is pretty much out of the question except for emergencies
to sum it up, these changes are pretty damn huge and shouldn't be underestimated (guess you can see that in winrates)
Kayne is still going to have a place. The final punch through a taunt wall is going to have its uses just as Leeroy Jenkins always seemed to find his way into anything that wanted to win on the short side of turn 15.
Metamorphosis may still find a spot in a slower deck, but with the current selection of cards, there is no slow version of Demon Hunter worth speaking of, so for the moment, it's a dead card.
Warglaives are now dog shit. No two ways about it. Absent some weird Gronk the Raptor effect where you can bank up multiple attacks, they are dead as well.
I still don't comprehend how they released Demon Hunter in the state they did. What have we had? 4 nerfs now? I'm trying to remember all of the things they've changed in the last month and a half. Twin Slice, Priestess, Skull, however many others. I've lost track. But, I think this last batch has truly crossed the line a bit. Any two of the Kayne/Warglaive/Metamorph nerfs would have been fine without the third.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

The latest patch was not about the current meta, they were making room for the new cards. They probably didnt want to powercreep cards like Warglaives or Metamorphosis so they just nerfed them so you will use the new SA cards instead when they release the expansion.

I would argue this is due to the lack of a public test realm. Blizzard really wants people to get hyped for spoiler season and new set deck building but it's always less than advertised. Meta decks settle after about 12 hours or less from a new release. I would very much like a test realm to work out kinks in cards before people spend money on the product.
Love to see ppl that play the DH class whine on forums now.
Lol @ u
DH is part of the game. Get over it (No I don't play DH, I don't like the present play-style but might if new cards make funnier decks possible).
This thread is of interest to me as, like most of us, I disenchanted all those cards and it's good to know if they could be worth recrafting... If that's not your case, why even bother spending time here (and I can see nobody whining here apart from you...)
Back on the thread subject, I tend to agree with Shadowrisen's answer BTW (If it was a real question: they tried to create a hype for the new class and went completely overboard. They might even consider it a success as DH will now live with an hate/love story )

Also they had dozens and dozens of streamers test DH deck builds at the demon hunter summit for what... a couple of days? And none of them were able to come up with a deck as powerful as tempo DH eventally became. It's easy to act like yeah DH was obviously broken but we have the advantage of millions of games of sample size to test with, and the devs dont.
Whoever seriously believes DH is dead is greatly mistaken. Expect completely BUSTED new DH cards in Yolomance, afterall this is all a Marketing strategy, so students get asked to the "Tavern Cashier" to spend big ass on new expansions, new OP cards which will get nerfed once Blizzard's Vampiric thirst for money has been stilled.
As one of the hearthpwn users wrote some time ago: this is not the initial product I bought in April after the last nerf. as for me i did 2x preorder to have each all those power cards (metamorphosis, skull, kayn, priestess, warglaves). Too bad meta and glaves are dead cards now... but all in all at least I got 2400 dust back.

Plus releasing a new class and having to nerf it is a lot better than releasing a new class and needing to buff it.
Um, I thought these nerfs were a little too much myself. Not that these things didn't deserve to get hit, but some of them they kind of obliterated from space.

What are you talking about? Have you read any of the posts in this thread?
The nerf made me lose interest in DH. I really don't agree with this change, it's a f legendary after all.

DH keeps big priest from coming back in wild. #SAVEDH #Kappa
Don't worry, this is just part 2/10 of nerfing Demon Huntress

Wash, rinse and repeat.

I would have changed the mana cost from 5 to 6 and kept the 5 dmg. Or make it 8 mana and 6 damage.
Agree to disagree
Dead but dreaming
Personally I crafted it while ago, did not play it at all and disenchanted now to craft Patches. Heh.
EU 11/2015+ , f2p 03/2021+: DK 63 / DH 205 /Dr 277 / Hu 733 / Ma 6666 / Pa 1072 / Pr 1165 / Ro 1791 / Sh 1303 / Wl 707 / Wr 664
Yes it sucks now and that's simply beautiful. They can nerf dh into nothingness so far as I'm concerned.
