I'm curious what people like about Disguised Toast? Besides when he used to do meme decks. He always came off as high off of his own smugness to me even by streamer standards and I can't stand that.
You're absolutely correct, he was always quite arrogant. But that's also why people watched him. He had a certain confidence not a lot of other streamers had.
You people just need to face the facts. People are moving away from regular hearthstone because it sucks atm. Quality has really gone down the last year or so. Doesn't help that this expansion has been one of the dullest imo. I wanted to stay with hearthstone but the game just isn't what it used to be. Sure it still gets a lot of views but I believe this game peaked a while ago and is sliding downhill. Streamers especially arent doing this for the love of the game as much as they used to.
Look at all the stuff Toast did outside of typical Hearthstone play. I remember him configuring a footpad to play hearthstone. His videos were always a top-notch quality, even at the very beginning, when he was relatively unknown, so he surely had to do everything by himself.
The dude has some big brains, there's no denying it, so he has some right to be pretty self-confident.
Also such mentality is present in many people, who achieved success. Look at sports stars, look at businessmen... Majority of them has this arrogant personality and it's not like they developed it AFTER being successful.
People who have "I want it, so I am gonna grab it" way of thinking are generally the ones who achieve success. Whether it is sports, gaming, business or just picking up girls. In other words, you have to be a bit of a dick, to be successful, like it or not.

He can't be the first person you've seen with bad social skills. It's not a surprising thing from nerds that spend most of their lives playing video games. A lot of people like Brian. He's happily married and definitely has other activities in his life but still comes off a frustrated douche sometimes.
I'm both gamer(dont put in the hours like i used to...*shakes walker like Cranky Kong*) and athlete. I've seen it all. Self awareness isn't something a lot of people have.
I used to love Jackiechan play crazy meme decks and crush but now it’s almost exclusively Battlegrounds which is such a bore to watch. I subbed to him for like 18 months but after 3 months of that I switched. I want to support him but why Battlegrounds? I guess it’s best to move on and watch streamers who float your boat.
I couldn't think of a worse way to spend your time than watching drivel like that on youtube.....if you think that's entertainment you should go to the local gas station and see the kids trying to do simple math to give you back change when the cash register is down....must be that youtube education they get today........youtube is filled with the worlds downtrodden and lost...my advice is to not come here and cry about it just turn the garbage off and stop wasting your life watching trash.

You don't like watching product, then getting excited for next product? On a serious note, I legitimately enjoy watching hearthstone videos more than playing myself. Aside from highlights and editing I enjoy watching interactions with cards I don't have in my collection, and also getting inspiration for building my own decks. The game itself works really well for video and stream content, since the game basically plays itself and reacting alongside content creators and chat is great.
Kripparrian has been playing almost only Battlegrounds non-stop for so long that I don't even remember when the last time I watched one of his Youtube videos was. I'm not saying he should stop playing this game mode forever, but every once in a while some variety would be appreciated. I had a similar reaction when Noxious stopped playing Hearthstone. Yeah, MtG: Arena is a great game, but I don't like his Youtube videos about it. I was a huge fan of Noxious and he used to be by far one of my favorite Hearthstone streamers. :(
Has this ever happened to you? Has a Hearthstone streamer changed its content so much you no longer watch it?
DUDE! I was a great Noxious fan during his HS prowess and I used to love Avril xD Cheers! I completely agree with the notion.

I'm with you. I used to watch Kripp's BG video but the issues were 1) really don't like the game mode 2) It's basically the same choices over and over.
But the streamer i miss the most is Disguised Toast. I really loved his video about strange interactions and "find the lethal/missplay".
I also used to watch Thijs and i really liked his positive attitude towards the game.
I really like Savjz, and loved when he did Constructed stuff. But I find Battlegrounds to be a completely non-compelling game mode. I can't stand playing it, and I can't stand watching it, so I'm sad that Savjz doesn't do Constructed anymore.

i know what you mean. i watched Kripp pretty regularly back when he was playing arena. i also watched other guys like Warshack or Thjis pretty frequently. i can understand that Kripp only plays the modes that are fun for him.
hearthstone has changed. i haven't really played it so far this year, maybe that's why i don't follow these creators anymore. but also the views on their videos are dropping.. hearthstone is dying slowly and i'm wishing back the 2014 times of playing this game.
Even when the game has never been perfect, playing Hearthstone in 2014 was a total blast, fully agree with you!

LMAO, calm down. What I do or not with my life is my problem, not yours, but thanks for worrying about me anyways! XD

Tickatus isn't fun or interactive

Yeah, sadly, you are right.
Of course, yeah, that's the attitude. ;)
Noxious is a very funny and down to earth dude. He has a great personality. Wish him the best!
