Personally hoping for a Hearthstone equivalent of Commander, because they said, that the new mode would use our collections and that sounds like a really fun mode.
I’d really like them to implement a mode with full customizable rules for matches that you can play with friends or randoms. I’d also hope they allow for small custom tournaments with these but people have been asking for something like that for years and they still haven’t done it. Probably to protect the esports industry
A rule set where you could restrict classes, card sets, turn limit, pick a board, and everything else you could think of. The more you think about it there’s so much you could customize. It would take so much work though, so I doubt they’d ever do something like this. They could do a menu where you could browse people’s rules/custom matches and pick if you want to play.
Id really like to see a mode that is somehow tuned exclusively for fun. No gold or quest completion rewards. Ranked play is try hards and gold farmers in both wild and standard. If you ever want to try interesting cards or synergies that aren’t “top tier” these days you are going to have a horrible time. Casual play is supposed to be that but it allows you to do quests and earn 10g from 3 wins. Unfortunately, this attracts the gold farmers who take the worst kind of face decks in to do their quest or earn 100g daily. It is not fun to que into face demon hunter (not really what it’s called but we all know that’s what it is) face hunter, secret mage, or what have you when you go into casual to play for fun.
adding more Rows on Board (more minion trades, more tactical complexity), maybe increasing Health to 40-50, basically beta testing a entirely new, more profound playing experience.
New Minion ability (Retrieve) Mana crystals can be replenished after successful trades, which allows to push out more minions on one turn on to the additional rows
Deck size would increase, Hand size would increase as well.
edit/ Also integrate Card Banishment at the Mulligan stage, there was once a Brawl which featured that and I thought it would be a really amazing addition, adding even more strategical depth to HS.
That sounds great for us folks playing in shitty devices!
Also, for those playing in monster rigs, a mode with 3D animations like those in that belf "play for fun" cinematic: you play the card but it's represented by an animated minion on the board, kinda like the Millenium Falcon chess. Of course it won't happen, it's waaaaaay too much work, but we're all dreaming here.
I'm almost positive the next mode will be an ongoing Brawliseum... They said that players with lots of old sets will be happy, and they basically already have the programming done from the week long ones they run.
Maybe with different rules to vary from Arena. Round Robin tournament style?
They hinted at it in the interview to this expansion... Something about old expansions being useful outside of Wild... And something about cats... I think.
I would like a PVE mode. One where users could use tools provided by Blizz to create dungeons/campaigns.
You'd pay gold to play in their campaign, but there would be a reward at the end. You'd pay 150 gold, and when you complete it you'd get a pack from the current expansion. John Doe would get a cut of the 150 gold, but he would also have to pay a daily amount to keep his dungeon up and running. Lets say if 3 people play his dungeon every day he is cost neutral. Fewer than that and he is paying to keep it up, if it sees more than 3 runs a day he is actually generating gold for himself due to the quality of the work he put into the campaign.
So, blizz makes gold. Users potentially can earn gold for providing content. Players can play an ever changing PVE mode. New content daily.
And I can enjoy playing a format I enjoy while building my collection.
I'd hope for a mode that penalizes netdeckers, by giving cards ratings based on playrates. Abused cards would get negative ratings that would add up in the overall rating of the deck. Wins would be rewarded differently depending on the overall rate of your deck. That way a Highlander Warlock win would net you the same reward as 10 tempo demon hunter ones... Let's bring some justice and some recognition to creativity, finally.
Tbh I hope it's a rotation like in arena but for constructed where we have 6 expansions all the time but they rotate. This way we can play old decks that are played in wild but not all the wild meta decks. For exemple I would like to see how can cubelock compete with standard decks (if let's say the current expansions of the rotation are KnC, KotFT and the current standard expansions). Or if the old big spell mage could out value the current highlander mage (even tho I'm sure hl mage will also play frost lich jaina). That is something I want to play.

Dreaming is free, right?
I read the first sentence and i already knew, that i like this comment. I hate netdecks, no creativity, copy, play, win, repeat

This would just create a new net deck list though, I don't get how people don't see this.
People would simply cut and paste whatever decks had the highest value for a win and best win rate. That deck would then decline in value and would get dropped for the next at the top of the list. As a species we create a hierarchy in almost evurging we do and this game is no difference. There is a hierarchy of decks and those at the top are the most desirable because they are the most effective. This wouldn't change.
What people mean by 'creativity' is wanting to have the ability to play bad decks and not be penalised by better refined, stronger decks.
Personally I'd like to to revamp casual modes in both standard in wild first...implement the "card filter" rule that they have for some tavern brawls but rotate what cards can be used and can't, both in wild and standard. Banning some cards periodically period is the only sure safe way to shake up metas more often.
That said, if they do implement an entirely new mode, give us the damned tournament mode players have been asking for for years now.
Bad enough we got demon hunter as the new class instead of monk but rest assured everyone will be jabated with the new mode that'll probably be aggro friendly like the new class too.

I really want 1 million dollars but that ain’t happening same thing you wrote in the lab ass post of yours.

I don’t care as long as the entry reward is 10k Gold.
I know it won't be, but turbo mode - no animations and 20 sec per turn.

When did they announce a new mode?

Hopefully it is not a shitty tavern brawl clone.

A kind of constructed arena similar to brawliseum would be neat, maybe also using rotating sets, different from both Standard and Wild.

Something like Arena but have people actually to play it.
