So...it has been 2 months since the last expansion...and it was a absolute sh*t show, by far the worst expansion i have ever layed my eyes upon on and i have seen allot of expansions.
Not only did they manage to make the most broken class in the history of the whole hearthstone, but they also manage to make more then one class way weaker then the others.
We had to go through allot of nerfs and speacily for demon hunter and dont even remind me how many posts did the mods have to go through because of them (guildy as charged)
i cant speak for allot of mains of their favorite classes but, shaman, warlock, priest, mage, paladin all had to make decks that would justify this extremely aggressive meta of demon hunters even to this day! We can cut a arm and a leg of a dh but you cant kill the body.
But back to the expansions.
We all wait for good changes that would justify our classes and bring enjoyment even if we dont win, but this....THIS!!! was just terrible then one way.
Also i dont agree with threatening the employees of the blizzard company, nothing good happens from doing that because that man or woman is only doing his or hers job, but we can criticize their decisions on that matter and thats all.
Good: Whilst I see a lot of moaning about DH (all), Rogue(gala), Priest(res/gala), Hunter(highlander), Druid(spell), Warrior(pirate/egg), the reality is that I can play any class and do ok in the current meta -the balance is good IMO. New solo mode should be out in a few days. Next phase of year of phoenix should have a new game mode.
Bad: New player experience is tarnished by the DH initiaite set being available to all, so DH is dominating new player ranks.
Good= They tried something new and showed they could be responsive in much better time than in the past
Bad= They've made the classes reliant on having really strong base sets to be viable. Showing that Demon hunter(Especially, Rogue, Warrior and now Priest have better tools then other classes for control, tempo, and aggro. Some classes are now nonviable mainly due to no card draw or lack luster card generators. Most of the neutrals they introduced are boring and almost all classes are class cards unless highlander... And an Extreme lack of healing and almost all healing affects aren't worth their cost at all.
Didn’t really want to respond since the title is absolute bait for a whiny rant that belongs in the salt thread. Luckily though, OP realized this and followed up with a response that was actually on topic and interesting,
Good:
Introduction of Demon Hunters. So thoroughly impressed. Introducing an entire new class in a game that is so balance fragile that 1 mana can make or break a card is a monumental feat. No one could realistically expect that to be balanced from the get go, so the rate of balance changes to the game afterwards was great to see.
Bad
Too easy to hit legend with the new system. I like the new reward system, but it doesn’t feel like a feat any more for me to hit legend
I think AoO good expansion so far. We got new class, and it's great, even if DH is op.
Bad thing about DH class is outcast mechanic imo. It is fun, but it highly reward you for having cheap cards, so it's force you to play aggro.
I played a bit of OTK DH, after second nerf, even got legend with it, but overall it's not that good. Playing aggro DH is not fun to me so i dropped this class. Will be great if they manage to make it more flexible in next expansion, so we can get more DH archetypes.
Right now im playing maly dru, highlander sham and quest lock, very fun decks. Not every expansion i got so many interesting decks for me to play.
This expansion would have been so much better if they kept the game at 9 classes. Focus on building upon Year of the Dragon. Now this entire year will be DH playing catch-up with the rest of the classes because it has the smallest class card pool in the game. They add a 10th class and it feels like we have less classes in the game.
A good thing is the adventure is free, the bad thing is... where the hell is it? It's June! The expansion was released in April!
I really like the fact that they steered away from hammering decks and cards into the ground via nerfs, and instead went for a more subtle approach, coupled with more nerfs in general. I also just plain like playing libram paladin.
I also like that they added a new class, and the total class variety seems up since I started playing (Un'goro release); most classes have 1-2 viable decks.
Bad;
There is a lot more random shit in the game, via lackeys, but also stuff like Yogg-box and the amazing reno.
DH was WAY overtuned, but at least they were quick to react.

Name one good thing about this expansion
and
Name one bad thing about this expansion.
one good and one negative.
Good: They did a rework on the priest set, so they seem to care about priest, Raza restored to its former glory.
Bad: The rework nerfed priest, they only care about making priest worse, Nothshire cleric hall of famed.
I am still appalled that we didn't get the DH campaign yet
Its like they completely forgot, not sure most even care by now
One good thing :
I killed some Demon Hunter.
One bad thing :
They are an army of them....
Good thing: i love play Hanar
Bad thing: i hate when it is played by the opponent
Good: Whilst I see a lot of moaning about DH (all), Rogue(gala), Priest(res/gala), Hunter(highlander), Druid(spell), Warrior(pirate/egg), the reality is that I can play any class and do ok in the current meta -the balance is good IMO. Bad: New player experience is tarnished by the DH initiaite set being available to all, so DH is dominating new player ranks.
Good: They released some pretty decent cards.
Bad: Same old Hearthstone. Still not keeping up with Stale Meta.

Problem is Galakrond. Broken card.
Good: Cards, in general it is a good set of cards.
Bad: Galakrond, Demon Hunter, Combo decks and spell druid

Good: new class is op
Bad: new class is op
Pro: They react faster by nerfing problematic cards
con: They clearly let the players beta test DH for them

Good: Demon Hunter, Battleground
Bad: Demon Hunter, Kronx, still Zephrys...

Good - Demon hunter, even if it was busted to begin with. Once a new expansion comes out I think it will be a great addition to the game.
Bad - Constant loses to pure RNG and classes killing you with randomly found cards from other classes
