Actually, the game is boring if all you do is play net decks and grind the ranks. I myself am really impressed with the amount of interesting decks that are available in the game now. Moreover, the game is actually not so one sided as it usually is. There is no clear dominance of any class and you can pull off some really crazy combos. I myself have to say, that this is one of the best meta's ever.
I disagree. I find winning fun. However, I can't rememebr the last time that I have played regular HS. I've almost completelty abandoned it for BG.
To the OP: Do you live under a rock?
That's so sad. You must really have nothing better to do. And no, I don't live under a rock. Not sure why you decided I do. But maybe you can explain. You have nothing better to do.
Awww, you guys, the little one got so used to losing that winning isn't worth his time anymore. Who's a little bronze player? Yes, you are. Good boy!
How new to the game are you? Usually there's only 3 viable decks to be sick of. Right now, even on ladder, I'm seeing more variety than I've seen in a long time. If you don't like playing against the same 6 or so decks over and over, then you would HATE every other expansion when its the same 3-4 decks over and over... The frequent updates were balance patches... If there's balance? It's hard to... Balance... More?
I've been playing since GvG. Are you saying you're not seeing the same decks over and over again?
The purpose of frequent updates is to shake up the meta. Obviously there are cards that need to see more play, and some less.
I would go on but I think my point is made.
Yes.. I'm seeing the same 8-12 decks over and over again as opposed to the usually 3 decks over and over. That's 3-4 times the variety. If you've been playing since gvg then you know there hasn't been this much variety for a few years.
How do you shake up a meta when it's balanced? Buff one deck through the roof, so it's the only deck we see? Or, nerf one into oblivion, so there's 1 fewer deck on the ladder? What updates do you want exactly, and how does it shake up the meta? The only way to shake up the meta without killing the balance would be a new game mode, and we won't see one of those for a long while.
The only other way would be to introduce new cards... We call that an expansion... Decks are made with the best viable cards for their class. Right now, 9 of the 10 classes have balanced cards that have viability in the meta. They screwed up Shaman with cards that don't sync. I can't think of any buffs that would give Shaman a contending deck. It's basically stuck in its rut until it sees new cards.
Any further updates would be so minuscule, they would have next to no real impact, or else they would imbalance everything.
Exactly. There are around ~10 viable meta decks that all see a fair amount of play even at top legend, plus another 10 mediocre or worse decks that Kibler still somehow successfully pilots at top legend, definitely lots of variety
If the first post had actually stuck to the topic it set out with the title, it might have been a constructive thread. Instead the first post was nothing more than unconstructive complaints. I see no reason to keep it open with that in mind.

Bring back original undertaker
move mysterious challenger and avenge to standard
I just checked the most played decks in top 1k legend on Hsreplay, and found 9 different archetypes among the 11 most played decks.
Shaman is really the only class being left out now.

This thread is a joke. You're wondering why did the updates stop in a time period when the US is basically Coronalad.
