I have faced some criticism about my play here. This was top 1k legend game and I was playing nohandsgamer. I watched the stream after the game and he said my play was objectively worse (than the alternate play) I am a bit confused about this (I did make a big mistake early on in the game because I was tired and not focusing, but he was referring to my play here).
Here is the board state:
Obviously at this point we are going to play Zixor Prime as it is our only way to not die. To be clear this is the board state after playing zixor prime:
Each 4/4 has rush. My play was to trade two of the 4/4s into the 2/2s with taunt. I now have two 4/4s with rush and a 6/2. I then play guardian augmerchant from my hand onto one of my 4/4s to give it divine shield and trade it into my opponent's 4/4. The last 4/4 I trade into my opponents 4/4 then I trade my 6/2 into his 5/5. The board state afterwards was as follows:
If I screwed up I still don't know what I did wrong. I could have used the merchant on the 6/2 but then it would die next turn from a hero power. All my minions were at least 2 hp. I can trade a 4/5 using the merchant as one damage in combination with a 4/4 but that would kill my 4/4 and leave a gnoll alive. I could have used all my mana but hero powering and not keeping a 4/3 on the board but trading it off (maybe better if he had poof but if he had poof he would have used it by now for sure since he was under significant pressure earlier). So I can't understand what he was talking about when he said this was an objectively worse play from me.
hm tbh it also kinda depends on the cards the mage used before... there could be an argument for pushing face with the 6/2 depending on what cards you think the mage (is likely) to have in his hand...
But yeah other than (possibly) that I don't really think you did much wrong...
The only other thing you could possibly make a case for is using your HP instead of playing auchmerchant (assuming you're going face with the 6/2 and saying he doesn't have any burst) but I don't think that would be a very good play considering he had alex in hand and doing 5 damage out of nowhere would be pretty hard without any beasts...
Honestly I don't really think you played it that badly..

I didn't know he had alex in hand. The replay is showing me that because he played it so it knows what it is but at the time I just knew he had two cards and was low on resources.
The trouble is if I didn't trade I would be at 2hp the following turn (if he goes face then hero powers). He hadn't used zephyrs yet which would be lethal. Zephyrs fireball, hero power and 4 damage from a single minion would be 11 and and I was at 12hp so by trading there is no lethal (there is no way he runs pyroblast or fireball in his main deck because if he did he probably wouldn't be 500 legend). If i didn't trade though zephyrs is lethal. Frost bolt is lethal too (although he may not run that but some lists do). If i went face I also had no guarantee of lethal next turn. Zixor is a beast but I don't have kill command in hand.
It depends on what you have left in the deck. Are yo likely to draw burst in this situation. But it seems to me, and I could be wrong, that NoHandsGamer is blind because he can see what he has in his hand

You definitely did not make an obvious and dumb misplay there.
Though watching the replay your opponent used his Zephrys on turn 3 to get rid of your weapon, but at that point of the game probably even the perfect play, whatever that is according to him, wouldn't have brought you victory.

I won the game though. I was misplaying a lot in the game*. It was towards the end of the session I had been playing all day and I made a lot of dumb mistakes but I won anyway. I think he might have been a bit salty about that. He was expecting me to concede on an early misplay but I didn't.
*arguably just one big misplay early on that resulted in my zixor being 4/4s instead of 6/6s.

Oh you're right lol, you won.
But the 'objectively worse play' he was talking about was not about the pictures you sent here, but about the trade you did the turn after.
He had a 1/5 and a 4/1 on the board. You had 2 4/2s and a 1/1. You traded one 4/2 and the 1/1 into his 5/1 and your other 4/2 into his 4/1, leaving you with only a 4/1 on the board. You should've traded both your 4/2s into his 1/5, and your 1/1 into his 4/1. The you would've still had two 4/1s on the board instead of just one. So it was an objectively worse play indeed.

Oh I see now, thanks! I guess I just misunderstood what he meant. Goes to show you can be retarded and be in top 1k. No skill required.

Yep, I watched that game too, and it was exactly this play NoHands was referring to.

Thanks. I understand what I did wrong now. Just goes to show even if you can't do basic maths and trade properly you can make it to top 1k legend. Easy game lol. I really did misplay all game. I was so tired, played for like 6 or 7 hours, and at that point I really wasn't thinking through the plays properly. I have a 70% win rate in legend with this deck believe it or not so I don't think this game was the highlight of my legend climb but I scammed out a win anyway. My deck is just so favoured vs highlander mage that he can only win if he cheats out turn 6 discover two minions into two deathrattles like cairne or play box and highrolls it. I am close to 90% vs mage and it just shows the power of the deck vs mage that I can make two huge mistakes and still win. He definitely played better than me that game but being favoured and good top decks carried me.
Just a straight net deck, not doing anything crazy. I considered subbing some cards and I know that fast44 who took rank 1 with HL hunter runs the secret package but it's doing alright for me.

Can you post deck code?
