If by "outcome of the game" you just mean winning or losing a single game, RNG might have 100% or 0% to do with any one game.
If you mean a player's performance over time, the only way RNG would play any part of that is if you believe Blizzard someone blesses certain players with "better" RNG than others over the long term.
As for a player being less articulate, I suppose that part of my post could have been fleshed out a lot better. I did it better on the other thread, but I was talking about all the players that essentially say, "my play was perfect, but RNG . . . "
My experiment with the replays is designed to show that most players have no idea what perfect play is, much less are able to actually perform it in the moment.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Randomness is addictive, that's why they have it in the game, it gets people hooked. The feeling you get when you discover your 6th power of creation is euphoric.
Some people are better than others, RNG can decide a game or it can destroy your game, its a gamble...and you all know what gambling does to people.
Not for climbing the ranks, not for earning money as streamer or tournament player, not for compensating life failures with winning (ok, maybe going too far here... am I?). It can be played for all this, but it is meant as entertainment mostly.
RNG brings fun, game swings are fun, epic effects are fun. Sure, killing people with no RNG Demon Hunter is fun for many players, but you are not the only one existing here. So, many players have much fun playing Yogg-like effects and giggling maniacally. And even though RNG may disappoint them more often than not, and they may cry and get angry more often than giggle, these rare moments make them happy and make them want to play more. Tier 1 and 2 decks have healthy mix or high, medium and low RNG decks, no reason to complain.
This is definitely not the way most people play the game
People play the best deck regardless of the rng factor, and the tier 1 decks aren’t commonly based on some rng swing card. Doesn’t mean they don’t have rng in the deck but people play the most effective deck to kill the opponent. I don’t know what reality you live in but playing decks with a stupid rng win condition like yogg have been unusable in both wild and standard for a while. The aggro is too strong to try and have fun
Secret mage is not really based on rng. Tempo demon hunter is not. Face hunter is not. The people cackling are the aggro and tier 1 decks. When people get criticized for being salty here probably end up quitting and therefore help the spread of netdecks rather than originality and fun. This community regularly shits on people for having an opinion and then wonders why demon hunter, with some of the most broken cards ever, is the most successful.
People play different decks and sometimes they play for big flashy effects that involve high RNG, sometimes they play decks that reduce RNG to minimum. And among top tier decks are both groups, ones with quite a high RNG are sucessful - Highlander Mage, Highlander Hunter, Gala Rogue, Gala Priest. Box is not the only high RNG card, same with Alex, Ysera, Lackeys, Galakrond Rogue/Priest power, etc.
I myself hate playing decks with 0 RNG, hate playing same game over and over, it's boring to death.
Regardless of all this, I don't think a dragon hunter playing DQA to get nozdormu timeless & malygos for 0 mana to OTK me from 26 health WITH overkill from 3 attacks and a spell damage breath is something that can be prepared for. nor can it be prevented. I find it laughable that I can have someone on the ropes at 10 hp with some minions on board to be killed within the next 2 turns like that.
Imagine that you're playing a game of chess. You have the white pieces and game is going well. You're very happy because you outplayed your opponent and now you have a winning position. Unless you make a serious blunder, in the next few moves you're gonna win. It's your opponents turn, he thinks for some time, then he reaches in his pocket, pulls something out of it and puts it on the board. It's a black queen! He then makes a move with it - he eats your queen, gives you a check and attacks your rook at the same time. Since you cannot move your king and protect the rook in one move, your rook is gonna fall. Just one move ago you were winning, and now you're completely lost.
If that's actually allowed in chess, would chess even be a game, let alone "the" game that's played and respected with equal passion throughout centuries?
That's the scenario that we're witnessing in Hearthstone every day. Hearthstone is not a chess, of course, it doesn't even try to be it, but I have a feeling that with each new "mechanic" introduced to Hearthstone, it become less and lees a game that I actually play, rather more and more a game that plays itself and I'm just here to "enjoy" the show.

HL Hunter is a lot of RNG? In what world? It's literally only the Dragonqueen and to a certain degree Primordial Explorer. The rest are all honest cards. By reasoning like this, I'm assuming you also think Tempo Warrior is RNG-based, because of the 4 lackeys it gets to play.
I am absolutely fine with RNG being a part of this game. I think it's actually crucial to its success.
That said, I think that the current state of the game's RNG is above where it should ideally be. I think Dragonqueen Alexstraza is the biggest culprit (due in large part to being neutral), but she's certainly not alone.
There is a whole lot of "created by" happening in multiple classes right now, the critical mass of which is making too many games (IMO) feel lost or won because of factors outside of anyone's control.
For example, the word "scam" and it's equivalents have been more frequently used by GM casters now than ever before. "Scam Mage" is literally an archetype.
Again, RNG is fine. RNG is good. But I think the frequency and power swings of the RNG right now is likely too high.
Call it a salt rant if you will, RNG in this game right now is too much. the amount of "discover this, add a random that" from so many cards has turned this game into a joke. You can outplay your opponent for 8 rounds straight but one lucky dragonqueen or discover a spell and they have you losing within 1-3 turns.
Something has to change to make the game more like it used to be. Reliable knowledge and good plays making your wins worthwhile. The level of game swinging RNG right now spits in the face of anyone who has any measure of skill at this game. Whats even the point trying to play well when your opponent can roll the dice and laugh in your face for it.
Nothing more true than the 'outplaying someone for 8 turns' and they get the nuts 1 turn play where the board swings in an absurd way.

Except dragon queen really isn't that great of a card. Half the time I can't play it because It would mean death, or I am playing it just in the hopes of getting lucky and getting a taunt. I'm not even sure it should be in any highlander deck. Out of 30-40 games with Highlander hunter I've used it exactly once where it had me win. I took it out because it's a horrible card. People just think it's good because when they lose to it stands out how unfair the loss feels then they get into a confirmation bias loop. And often when they lose to it it's because they're playing a slow unreasonable greedy deck.
ut the fact is that most people don't even take the time to figure out why certain builds of decks are more powerful, I say probably 70% of people have no idea how to adjust their deck for the meta, A base skill for being a player that no one even uses. also how certain plays are more consistent, or when to hold clear or use it or when to trade or when to tempo instead of using clear. Then there's hand reading play reading and simply calculating the odds of waiting for an out vs. playing for a current out based on the other deck. Or the fact that you play differently vs. almost every different deck. For example with warrior some decks you trade a lot, some you mostly go face.
Sadly none of these skills can really be learned by people who believe in RNGesus because instead of of believing in themselves and the fact that they could do better, and looking for oppurtunities to gain those skills they pray to the RNG gods, and when the RNG gods aren't on their side they go and complain about those gods on this forum, When in fact the correct prayer would be to have more clarity, better memory and better skill, instead they pray or complain about luck.

It doesn't have to do with whether or not she is a "good" card (and you're wrong - she's an incredible card).
The issue, and the entire premise of my post, is the power level of the variance.

People complaining about RNG have no idea. The most broken busted decks in this meta have absolutely no RNG. They are so busted because they are consistent. DH basically kills you by turn 5/6 guaranteed every game. Sure there is some RNG because of bad draws. Ultimately though the best decks, being tempo DH (which is absolutely the best deck right now, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, all the latest VS data confirms it's the best in legend - look out for the next meta report), hunter and enrage warrior have very little RNG. Hunter has a discover effect and sky raider gives a random pirate. there are lackeys though of course in enrage warrior. Other than that though very little RNG. Priest is a weak class and has lots of RNG.
Imagine you play every game and DH just gets its cards, same game plan, and kills you on turn 6 every single game. DH is so consistent it basically does just that. That's a boring game no one would play (which is kind of why I am surprised they didn't do anything about it).
