Can someone confirm if this is the desired effect?
Thought that since they introduced the rule about a card being "collected" once you have 1 copy of it for legendary or 2 copies for all other rarities it shouldn't be possible to get the disenchanted card again. (at least not until you collect all other cards of the same rarity in that expansion, and even then it's still random if you're gonna get some other legendary duplicate or the one that you had but disenchanted)
Scenario: had golden The Beast, disenchanted it and got it back before getting some of the other classic legendaries that i'm still missing.
This would mean that golden and regular cards are not counted the same.
Starting at some point today, Thursday the 26th of March, you will get the introduction of increased coverage of the Duplicate Protection system that we already have for Legendaries. It will now cover ALL cards -- legendary, epic, rare and common. You can not get any duplicates anymore until you have every card of that rarity in the full set.
Not only will this new measure cover all card rarities, it also covers all expansions, new and old. Including card packs you already own.
There's a caveat here: once you receive a card, you'll have it marked for "collected" purposes. So if you disenchant a card you've received, it's still considered "owned." So you can't exploit the refund system that way. There's a great benefit to this though: If you don't like a particular card or class, you can disenchant them and not have to worry about getting them in future packs. This "collected" tag lasts forever once you have collected it.

They CLEARLY said Golden versions is considered different from the normal version. Its just you who didnt read all they said
Yes, golden cards are in a different pool than normal ones. Owning only a golden version of the card still means that you don't have the normal version, so you will still get it thanks to the "no-duplicate rule".
Hi fellas,
Can someone confirm if this is the desired effect?

Are you sure that you never had all basic legendarys at least once (doesn't matter if you DE them)?
yep, definitely missing Cenarius, Nataline Seline, Thinkmaster Overspark and currently Lorewalker Cho (but i think i had him at some point)
The way it works right now is normal and golden are considered as 2 different cards.
For AoO, I received normal rares of cards I had 1 normal and 1 golden copy before getting others I only had 1 copy of
the thing is. this is what they said:

That's nice - it raises the value of golden cards a little.
But that's not what they said and it's not what i suppose most of us want. as it means we can't disenchant trash legendaries
Tbh The Beast doesn't deserve a golden version..;)
