I'm not talking about the meta or anything like that, but about the actual game itself. The in-game store has been 'closed' for several days already, is there any reason for this? Cause it's been like 4 days at least.
And now the I just lost 120g out of nowhere. I had 2 quest to play 3 Warrior games so I was like whatever I'll just get this done quickly. Before playing at all I was at 1460g and went ahead and played the 3 games and got the 2 quest rewards pop as always and but my gold stayed at 1460 and I was like 'huh, maybe a visual bug' so I restarted the game but nothing changed. Restarted multiple times and still 1460 gold, like wtf is this bs?
I was feeling bad cause I was playing too much Runeterra and leaving HS on the back but damn this game doesn't only have a boring meta atm but now the store is closed for god knows how much time and it stole my gold, great job Blizzard.
I switched to Runeterra as well, I still play HS somewhat but the amount of heavy and gamechanging RNG in HS is too much. I do not mind "light" RNG, but games completely turned around by a Yogg puzzlebox or Reno HP is bollocks.
The bugs are annoying as always but aren't as severe as some might say.
I personally enjoy the game more than in the last three days. They brought some very good improvement over the last 12 months.
And while the standard Meta will always be stale at some point they make changes like the recent patch that surely will refreshen it.
In the end, if all fails there is still wild which I enjoy a lot personally. It's much more diverse, astonishingly cheaper and also constantly changing.
Well... The game is very buggy, because they're trying to balance a new class, a new power level of card interaction, balance battlegrounds, and build new solo content during a pandemic where most of the world is being forced to self-isolate, and work from home... Did you forget about that? No one is packed into the T5 HQ right now working on game updates. They're at home passing along emails, and video chats... It takes longer, and they can't hammer out bugs as they happen right now.
I'm not having any issues with the store (it's been open the entire time here on the "Americas" server). Also, no issues with quests or anything else for that matter. It's tricky when people make it sound like the bugs affect everyone. I read a lot of the same stuff on the Magic: Arena forums as well. I rarely, if ever, have any issues with that game either.
I don't doubt anyone on these forums saying that they are having issues, but making it sound like it's entirely Blizzard's (or WotC's) fault isn't true. If it was, everybody would be adversely affected.
Back in Naxx era, I could play on my iPad without issues. For the past two years or so, tonnes of crashes. I can update and it'll work for a bit, but the lag and crash issues are just worse than they used to be.
That's one anecdote in favor "HS doesn't function as well anymore."
Call me what you will but runeterra is way better than this nonsense right now.
That's fine, go and play it. I see people sitting on this board and all they talk about is games better than this one. Yet they still frequent the forums and complain about the game they continue to play, despite not liking it or preferring another card game.
I could understand if this was the only card game available and you felt compelled to continue playing because of a lack of alternatives but you all consistently say that a very similar style game is better, so why are you here?
When I think a game is unfun or unfair or whatever, if I just don't get much enjoyment from it then I stop playing it, let alone carry on playing and then go to a site dedicated to that specific game to complain about it. You're clearly desperate for validation and if you complain enough, you'll find people who agree with you and that clearly gives you some sort of gratification.
Its weird. You're like the people who sit in FIFA forums and constantly complain that the game is awful and that PES is better and yet month after month you continue coming back, making the same threads, on the same game dedicated sites.
I could understand if this was a general card game site, like out if cards. It isn't an official Blizzard site, you know this ain't feedback which may affect change.
If you like Rune more, play Rune, there's no problem there at all but just do it. Just had a quick look on a forum for Rune, out of interest, and on the very first page there are complaints that the boards are dead, that X needs nerfing and that the community is toxic. Why not go and join them?
Why so the store being closed bothering you so much? Why is that the thing that's annoying you about a game you don't enjoy? Surely you have no need for the store anyway if you're playing a better game instead? You have enough for 14 packs, how does not being able to buy 14 packs in a game you don't like and prefer a very similar style game make you feel aggrieved?
The gold issue is clearly a bug if everything is as you say, you could just submit a ticket and I'm sure it would be sorted. That would probably have taken a similar amount of time as coming here, logging in and creating a thread complaining about it.
I've never had answers to any of the questions above from any people doing what you're doing. Am I missing something? If I'm seeing it completely wrong then I'm open to someone changing my mind.
Despite the previous condescending posts that are par the course for this community, it doesn’t change the fact that the game is getting worse
doing anything fun anymore is pretty much dismissed as a meme deck and banished to a 10 loss streak, while the genius players here tell you decks that constantly hit face and ignore everything you do are healthy for the game.
Really the problem is the players who enjoy making people upset. They’ve killed this game over time. Check our magic or Runeterra ASAP

I guess the same guys who balanced the new expansion are in charge of testing patches before they are deployed.

stop crying runeterra fanboy
What a smart and useful comment...
complaining in here won't change anything
I was in charge!! - Patches the Pirate
I don't think it is getting any worse but it's true that the number of bugs seems to have increased drastically since the release of AoO

The rng has been a little bit too much for my liking.
Best thing about Runeterra is the animated ads....the game itself sucks.
because of mechanics that are too broken with newly added broken cards, discover a dragon or discover a spell mostly in my opinion.
They are making HS2 atm. Just wait 2-3 years and you'll have a new HS to play.
You keep thinking that buddy.
