So, I was in the middle of cataloging all of the cards that can be used for:
Minion Damage/Removal - directly damages a minion or removes it Potential Removal - 'damage to enemies' or just direct damage Card creation - Cards that generate the above-mentioned cards (this includes the "theft" mechanic) Other - this is a category for things like Hero power manipulation, polymorph effects, and in the case of priests, the ability to change the mechanics of spells (healing into damage)
The reason I started this project is due to the consistent argument that "priest is the king of removal".
I had only gotten through: Class Direct Removal Potential Removal Card Creation Other DH 5 4 N/A N/A Druid 16 3 2 N/A Hunter 23 10 5 1 Mage 29 22 27 4 Priest 28 4 15 13
The view here is that priest isn't the only class with removal in abundance. It's just the one that people dislike the most due to the accompanying kit behind it. And this list doesn't include Neutral cards this is just class-specific cards
I will probably still do this just for comparison's sake but put it in a different thread.
Creating an overview of the classes to show the differences, getting data, this can help show what is fact and what is opinion. Opinions matter, but when a majority of the community bands together for a single cause, it's best to have some data behind it.
I really don't think you can look at these in such a binary way. The number of removal cards for Mage and Priest may be similar quantitatively but their effects on the match and how the synergy they have with the class' follow-up moves are not equal.
No priest isn't ok because people are forced to play 25 minute games when they signed up to a single hearthstone game. The devs originally sold us on the idea of short games. From a game design perspective priest is horrible.
DH cards are better than other cards but at least the game is over by turn 5.
Who said it was gonna be a short game?
That's where you was wrong about this game then... Do not play when you are doing other things, it's rude if there are other people with you and elsewhere it's rude to yourself.
you is wrong the game should not be longer then 15... many wanna play in breaks doing work but becouse of priest you cant play vs them becouse games will be 30+ min games but breaks is not that long
i just insta conceded because i queued to priests 3x in a row.. not gonna waste my time.. you can have your free wins but i have 1 hour of playing hearthstone
It was already the most obnoxious and hated class. All the hate warlock/dh and warrior received were from the priest and mage players who somehow managed to cry out nerfs. Now, when priest is top tier again, nobody is batting an eye. People are also taking statistics for granted, its not an individual winrate but the global winrate of the class. Having nearly 80% winrate as priest except in mirrors is just disgusting.

Priest is fine, a little annoying but kinda fair, DH dropping threat after threat every turn while removing your board and never run out of steam is not ok, warrior doing +20 dmg combo from hand with no way to play around it while they gain a huge amount of armor is not ok, rogue getting 7 cards reduced to 0 mana while getting infinite value and no way to play around it is exceptionally not ok.
Priest might be boring to play or to play against but it is fair and would never be a tier 1 deck.
I have played against 2 priests now that both were named WastingTime or smt. And I guess their names are there for a reason, because they roped every single turn... as if Priest games were not long enough! Why are people like this :'(
But besides that I also think Priest is pretty obnoxious, they just sometimes win by getting lucky from randomized cards, they mostly win if their opponent has good cards, but whatever the matchup is, the games last for eternity...

Lmao wtf?
The most contradictory statement ever. This whole forum is whining about it.
