Demon Hunter is the Hero players always wanted but did not deserve. I've been playing HS since beta and EVERY season since GvG people have complained most about 2 things, how the game became more P2W every year, and how RNG shenanigans was killing the game advocating that no skill was needed whatsoever to play the game; in example, every mage deck as a clownfiesta rng deck. Guess what, they were correct all along.
And then Demon Hunter (DH) was born, a deck with basically no rng that relies entirely on skill and deckbuilding. It's problem? The fact that DH has really overpowerred cards (mostly card draw) to make this rng-free concept viable.
Facts:
DH does not rely on RNG, but purely on card draw and deckbuilding strategy.
F2P class, cheap decks with high performance.
Card draw > rng card generation, which makes the class controversial.
Hunter mains crying because a new class is better and cooler at doing what they always did, SMOrc.
Unfortunally for me I sold my account last year so I could not taste the DH class in first person BUT I have never left the HS community so I have been able to perceive the HS evolution from a clear and neutral point of view.
Lmao, I agree with the general sentiment of the post but this part is completely off:

Hunter as a class is in a fantastic spot right now, not only you can SMORC as efficiently as usual and in a somewhat cooler way (Face-Teron Hunter, that also shits on Rogue by the way), but there are multiple meta-viable archetypes (Dragon, Highlander) on top of the usual reliable SMORCing and also cool off-meta builds that actually works (combo packages with Scavenger's / Boars / whatev).
Not to mention Hunter actually does great specifically against DH with the Arcane Shot / Explosive Trap / Dwarven / Scalerider package dealing with DH's 2-health minions.
Demon hunter decks are mainly aggro, and like all the other aggro, of course do not rely on rng. There is nothing new in dh.
It's cheap because the initiate set was free and because aggro decks are cheaper... So again no, it isn't what we needed and there isn't anything new respect to old classes like hunter.

So basically you have never even played with or against the DH class once, and yet somehow consider yourself qualified to declare that it "relies entirely on skill and deckbuilding". Right.
And then Demon Hunter (DH) was born, a deck with basically no rng that relies entirely on skill and deckbuilding.
Card draw is still rng, and DH draws way to many cards for an aggressive class. Which again, can lead to snowballing early games with no possible answer that, to me, feels just as bad as getting high rolled by a rogue discovering DQA in the late game.
And for an entirely new class in a new meta, we've mostly just seen the one deck with fairly minor variations. So that's a no on the deckbuilding, as well .
And if skill = influence of decisions and meta/game knowledge on outcome of matches, then a deck which aims to always curve out and do maximum face damage falls pretty low on the scale.
But at least "Demon Hunter" was right in that sentence.
This is somewhat right. The problem with the class is that actually in most cases it doesn't require much skill. I have been playing Tempo Demon Hunter in first weeks of AoO, but I got bored really fast, because it's just like Face Hunter - Very Draw Reliant and Simple. It's only my opinion, but I think that most fast decks require much less skill than control ones, and that's why I don't like Tempo DH. Some of your "facts" are on point, but the problem with the class is - Very good early board pressure and annoying mid-game drops like Priestess of Fury or Glaivebound Adept. In fact the most furstrating part is that sometimes you think and think, do some crazy combo and clear all of DH's minions, but then he plays one card that totally wrecks you. Anyway, this is just logic, I am not hating or anything, in fact DH is kinda' balanced, but I hope Blizzard will take him in a different direction in the next expansions.

If these boards wern't so easy to troll posts like this wouldn't exist.
Dh is younger more stylish brother to odd pally which got nerfed. Both are brainless.

Starting a thread as "fact" and then admitting you haven't actually played is not going to lead to any constructive discussion. Closing this here.
