Highlander or dragon hunter dominates gala rogue. If dh was not there rogues would have a tougher time . It was same before sac pact nerf. Warlock use to keep dh in check and top deck.
Not really. Gala Lock was picked as a go to counter to DH, so Rogue was less popular. If your point is to beat the other strongest deck in the meta and you have two options yourself, you naturally pick the one, which is more favorable. Since Gala Lock was good vs DH and Rogue is merely 50%-50% (with a slight edge given to DH), then pre Sac Pact nerf there was simply no reason to play Rogue. And now since Gala Lock is pretty much gone, people picked the next thing. Yes, Rogue isn't an ideal counter. Never said so. But it is on a very similar power level to DH, so it's probably the best choice if you want to have a solid chance vs DH without compromising your other match-ups.
Sure, there are other choices. I am just saying that Gala Rogue pretty much equals DH in terms of raw strength. The only difference is that if you hate on DH, you are in a mainstream and when you hate on Gala Rogue, you are a butthurt.

I understand people playing demon hunter. Can't blame people here. Blizzard is to blame for. I enjoy playing gala rogue ... It's so fun and almost broken sometimes. Blizzard had created a meta where variety is lot less. Atleast 5-6 classes should thrive. That's the least I expect. On ladder it's either dh or gala rogue mostly . Also believe lackeys should lose discover.
If u carefully observe the most busted decks are decks which have extreme draw. They should reduce it to slow down the pace.
Also people should really start playing highlander hunter . On vicious syndicate its success rate is high though unpopular. I guess meta is yet to settle. I may be wrong .
I don't think it should be X class beats the class I hate so they are good! Both classes have crazy power levels. Demon hunter feels more oppressive then odd pali did and that archetype got nerfed into the ground. They basically can control the tempo of every game, which in HS is the biggest advantage you can get. Most of the meta is building around the deck to try to counter it's absurd power leve. Rogue has too many tool to keep control of the board. Almost all swing turns are countered by 0 cost cards, flick, shadow jeweler, or one of the many saps in the deck. Getting something to stick or swing the board is basically impossible. Let's not even talk about the thousand on demand discover mechanics they have right now.
So the answer is no...neither class is currently okay at the moment.
I am tired of this shit. Galakrond Rogue looks unbeatable to me, unless I pick a deck specifically to deal with them. No Tier 2 even stands a chance. And I don't want to play Face Hunter or Bomb Warrior (which sucks against anything else). I am not memeing with my decks, I am playing solid Tiers 2 - Spell Druid, Highlander Mage, Highlander DH. And I have to concede vs Rogues, not vs DH. I would expect to at least have a chance. I do vs DH, which is apparently sooo broken.
I play lots of Spell Druid and I have to say for a Tier2/3 deck it does quite well against Rogues (I am around 65%). Mostly because when they start playing their secrets & Hanar you can just ignore them and play around them. Ambush! never activates as we almost never play minions, Bamboozle [/card]as well if you only go face (and Druid has tons of spells to remove taunts) so it is the deck that is least impacted by Rogue secrets. On the other hand, Rogue's targeted removal tool [card]Flik Skyshiv becomes a targeted board clear vs Spell Druid. But when you put 6 Glowflies on the board at turn 5 with opponent having only drawn 10 cards out of their deck, that's a risk you have to take....
Right now the most consistent deck to beat them both (and almost any other class), is gala priest. Against rogue it's not too hard (unless they shuffle 4848949 toggwagles). I would even consider it an "easy" matchup. Against DH, however, it is a very tough one. You have to draw all the clears, discover extra heals, and wish they don't have a decent draw.
I think that the card that killed demons whilst healing (dont remember the name), was a great counter to them. They just need to fix the stupid Jaraxxus mechanic, and that would be ok.
I really don't understand what the devs are doing with this game, its just so silly

Hanar gives them other secrets, some of them are actually good vs early Druid boards. Also simple field of 2/2s without an additional layer of buffs isn't that hard for them to kill. They don't have a good mass removal, but they have options for removing small minions + when you get to the swarm turn, you are behind on board, so they have also something to trade with. Basically turn 5 Glowfly Swarm dies easily. And this doesn't even include randomly generated cards - people neglect this aspect till they have their crucial minion, which would live otherwise, randomly Hexed, as it happened to me today.
And it is assuming the Druid draws are good, which, as we all know, sometimes isn't the case, since the deck is very vulnerable to hands, which do nothing. And Rogue is on the exactly opposite side - they are very consistent. So bad draws for Druid basically mean auto-loose.

I do not follow HSreplay blindly, but since I didn't play the deck myself, I have to base my opinion on something - and it seems that in both cases Priest is quite unfavorable. Even more in case of Gala Rogue, than in DH case, but in general both match-ups are presented as bad.
And it seems logical to me to be honest (when it comes to Priest vs Rogue). Both have crazy late game, but Rogue's is probably the craziest one in an entire game. Basically limitless value. The only control deck, which could compete with it, is Bomb Warrior, but it's merely due to the bombs - pure value is still with Rogue.

Indeed turn 5 Glowfly Swarm after doing nothing for 4 turns is often not much of a threat. Some combination of Backstab, Seal Fate, Devoted Maniac, Eviscerate, Kobold Lackey + existing board presence is often enough to clear up to 5-6 glowflies. But there are many possible combos to get something better than that for Druid: turn 4 Coin/Innervate + Glowfly Swarm, turn 4 Overgrowth into turn 5 glowflies + buff, not to mention the EMS combos on turn 5 after Overgrowth on 4, which create much stickier boards. As for Hanar, they need quite a bit of luck to manage to discover + play Flame Ward early enough, which is the only really troublesome secret. But yes, Druid s very draw-dependent and inconsistent, but the bottom line is: you get a god draw you win against any deck, you draw nothing you auto-lose, but all the in-between middle-of-the-pack draws still give you a fair chance vs Rogue (but not against DH for example)
I think that the card that killed demons whilst healing (dont remember the name), was a great counter to them. They just need to fix the stupid Jaraxxus mechanic, and that would be ok.
Sacrificial Pact isn't (by far) the reason Jaraxxus isn't played. He's just been way power creeped on with time, so that he's just not good anymore.
The only class legendary that is played regularly (in almost all cases) is Edwin and now Altruis. It would be fun to see the other cards get a bit of a buff.
Why should only one or two classes rule the meta? Each class should have the ability to face each other in equal combat. So, no, DH is and Rogue are not healthy for the meta.
As a [WILD] player I can tell that DH is totaly balanced if you compare it to other popular decks. DH really struggles to beat some of tier-1 decks right now, but it is definetelly a VERY good aggro deck.
As someone who has played as a Demon Hunter, I think my input would be valuable in this regard.
I dunno if the worst matchups were made intentional in regards to canonical lore in World of Warcraft, but the two worst matchups for Demon Hunter is Priest and Druid, with it being way more exacerbated in Wild. Priest has insane board control and heals, and Druids have exceptional card draw and tons of armor. In Wild, the matchups are worse against Priest because the removal options give you a clue as to how much of a glass cannon Demon Hunter's minions are, and Druid pretty much laughs in your face with the shitload of armor that they seem to churn out at will.
The bigger minions Demon Hunter has are fringe at best, with the exception of Priestess of Fury and Imprisoned Antaen, and pretty much the key tactic for Demon Hunter is to smash your opponent's face in. And don't even get started on Reno decks - you have to rely on your opponent pulling bad cards to win against them, and Cubelocks make the minions that Demon Hunter has look like kiddie-table shit by comparison.
Of course Demon Hunter cannot compete with the top decks in Wild. They have 14 expansions worth of cards available, while DH has 1 plus the neutrals. It will take years to reach that power level....
The problem with DH compared to Rogue is that I have an idea of what's going to happen with Rogue. Weather I win or lose it's usually a close game and I had fun. When playing against DH, I have the feeling that that my plays don't matter at all. It's just a question of will he get everything on curve. And even if his curve breaks at one point, Skull of Gul'dan is there to give it back to him next turn.
Losing is fine but I need to have the impression that my plays counted for something. VS DH they kinda don't.
It's over 30% of my games in the past few days and It's just no fun and that's the real issue.

It's funny, because Rogue is like a definition of pulling stuff out of nowhere. Cards for 0, Shadowstepped crazy value minions, lackeys, randomly generated cards, which you cannot play around, because they don't sit in their deck.
I don't feel my play counted for anything, when I invest into big Exotic Mountseller, knowing they have no removal for it, just to have it randomly Hexed. I made a correct play, put a pressure on them and planned my next turn. What I lost to? A card pulled straight from their ass.

Lol I wish I had a fucking idea of what's going to happen with Rogue in any given game...
I have the exact opposite problem. I have zero issues losing against DH, because at least he wins with cards he deliberately put in his deck, and his plays turn by turn are predictable - I know that turn 4 he'll probably play Satyr + hero power, or that turn 5 Twin Slice + Glaivebound is a possibility etc. - which doesn't mean they're made weak by being predictable, but at least my choices in what to play matter, if I have say 2 plays that are valid in a vacuum in a given turn, knowing what I can expect from him on the next makes a world of difference strategically. I may get crushed by turn 6, but at least it feels like I'm playing Hearthstone.
Against Rogue, good luck playing around a Winged Guardian they pulled out of their ass Pharaoh Cat, or that Earth Elemental they Bamboozled out of a 2-drop, or even just a taunt-lackey messing up your trades in the early game. Complete RNG clown fiesta.

The number of threads about DH is healthy for hpwn ?
Flik. Hanar. Togwaggle. The holy trinty. Random comment .
