I think we could all agree that dragon lackeys is too much (you shouldn't be able to PICK), but I'm ok with the rest of them. Lackeys on rogue are disgusting, but that's because of galakrond, not lackeys themselves.
The none E.V.I.L classes deserve a buff. The evil classes got Lackey synergies and Galakronds which generate value just like the lackeys. Heroes got Highlander but some of the best Highlander cards can be used by E.V.I.L classes no problem.
While I'm sure all of the lackey related cards were designed with their power level in mind, they do seem to do a lot more than expected for their mana. If anyone remembers the power level of spare part cards, that is the sort of power level I would expect from lackeys, but they have a massive extension above and beyond spare part power levels. Given how easy it is to obtain lackeys they do a whole lot and have high mana efficiency. Although a lot of this can be put down to power creep anyway... which is a whole 'nuther bundle of eggs to unpack
i dislike mechanics that are complete rng lackeys discovers break the game
why cant they desin more cards like magic trick take out invocation its a small discover smaller power scale within reason not magic trick invocation into more spells the rng on rng on rng layers on layers is like a clown fiesta game
The whole concept of lackeys is RNG for value... You get decent value but at the cost of luck. And on top of that, some of the lackeys generate more rng (spells, dragon or minions)
There are 6 lackeys and 44 dragons in standard... So, the odds of generating Draconic Lackey, and then Dragonqueen Alex is 1 in 264. Then it's dead in your hand if you're not running Highlander until you play out duplicates.
Sorry just to clarify - dragon lackey lets you discover 1 of 3 unique choices so it's a better chance. Been a while since I've taken statistics but if I remember, it's 1-(% chance to draw):
Ethereal and Draconic lackeys are annoying in the endless value the can generate. But by far the most annoying consequence of lackeys for my part, is that rogues now perpetually rope every single turn post 6-7 mana.
I have not been a fan of lackeys/galakrond since that release. First, they only released them to “evil” classes (priest?) and gave an indication that the left-out classes might be getting a hero replacement card too... which obviously never happened. Even if you disliked C’thun, it was available to all classes. It also makes the game boring if you’re playing against it. How many times do you see the rope when waiting for a galakrond rogue to finish playing their 12 cards per turn?

But do you know there are 7 lackeys? And you counted it incorrectly. 44/3 (becouse lackey discovers a card, doesnt generate completely random, obviously). Odds of getting alextraza in standard are almost 1 in 15 from lackey. Chances of getting draconic 1 in 7. 0,95 % lackeys generator will give you an access to alex

You can't nerf lackeys or anything else because of DH. The sac pac nerf made warlock useless.
Lackeys will rotate next year. Just be patient. If you survived Jade idol, you can survive lackeys. I believe in you.
Stop creating new accounts just to whine about game mechanics just because you lose against lucky lackeys. It's getting old.

Lackeys should definitely be nerf in some form.
Especially the dragon lackey, it's super broken if you get alex from it, which happens alot.
Last game the rogue i played against got TWO fuckin alexes from those, and obviously it cost me the game.
Alex and alot of the other dragons are already incredibly strong so yeah.

Simple solution . Just remove discover from lackeys .
I thought we hit the low of "nerf" threads when someone said to nerf Nozdormu, but here we are.
IMO they should change the discover into random. Add a random dragon to your hand for example. It's completely busted currently.
