Hitting legend is easier indeed, yet hitting high legend is harder, because most players that you face in legend has a lower rank (or you even can meet people from diamond) and you get less points and lose more points , right now I’m rank 2k+ and I mostly faced players that at least 1k lower then me (mb it is only my personal “bad luck” though)
This whole new system is a joke. It feels like they took the casual mode and put it in ranked with meaningless rank floors. YOu can't even see the opponent's ranks if you are not in legend. why have a ranked mode anyway? I get countless friend requests from people that want to check out my rank. What so special about legend if everyone can reach it? Feels like in the schools where kids can't pass the exams, they just lower the passing grade.
No one asked for a complete overhaul of the ranking system except to improve the rewards for reaching the rank floors.
Yes, it is even worse than a joke.
I like how you don't even consider the fact that along with the new system there are likely more Legend players due to Covid and people having more free time to dick around.

Most countries started quarantine during March. nobody saw 50k legends during the month of March. The impact on covid has on the number of legend players is minimal. The number of legend ranks is mostly due to expansion hype and eased ladder system.
Isn't this all semantics? If its not a challenge, just push for higher level legend? What they call the rank REALLY doesn't matter
I would be totally fine of all ranks were just a number of all players, just like legend operates in the moment. If you wanted to finish in the top 2000, and that top 2000 is always in flux, then sweet! Go for it!
Currently, I'm the 11,243rd best player in NA. When I was Diamond 5, does that mean I was the 345,122nd best? If they just called me that instead of Diamond 5, that would have been gucci too
I am not sure why people are worried. Some people are so bad at the game they can't hit legend with DH by the end of the month. If you think it's because they are THAT casual, some had golden DH so they put in a lot of time on a new hero.
It's nice to be able to reach legend without spending too much time on it. But I have to agree to the fact that it feels less of an accomplishment now. Maybe they should add cooler cardbacks for top 1000 - 500 - 100 and 50..? That would inspire really good players to keep grinding and the long time "fun" players would have a chance to get to legend. A long time goal of mine which wasn't possible due to a lack of time.
Yes, reaching Legend is easier because of the bonus stars and the floor at D5. But saying that Legend feels less Legendary is misreading the actual situation. In the old system, a high percentage of the players, including me, that reached rank 5 didn't bother trying to go legend. There is a very simple explanation for that. Reaching legend was rewarding resilience not skill. So, of all the skilled players, only those who had the time to put in quite a lot of hours could get there. Legend, in the old system did not feel Legendary it was closer to a geek's achievement. I think OP has the same misconception as many other players that reaching Legend was based on skill.

So what... everyone have the same chances so it doesnt matter.
No they dont have to... its 50k legends so what?
you were saying everyone did not have the same chances before this change?
needing less time helps alot people who cant spend that much of it playing
I disagree.
Not true at all.
