I was lucky to get a golden Whizbang as my free legendary when that expansion released. Have a full golden deck is sick as hell.
Problem is, Blizzard was stupid enough to not make it a Classic card. So now you only get to play unoptimized standard decks in wild. At least in standard the decks were playable but in wild they are simply not good enough for even a 30-40% WR. So, To keep or not to keep? That is the question. The sad part is I wouldnt put it past Blizzard to wait a bit for people to disenchant it THEN move it to the classic set so people would have to contemplate crafting again.
Crafting golden Whizbang was the first thing I did when he came out. I'm in the same boat and not sure what to do. I'm holding onto him for now just because you can't unclick the disenchant button. But I think I might dust him soon.
Do you need the dust now? If not, there's not point to dusting it.
IF there's something you want to craft and you're 1600 dust short, I would consider it fair game to dust it. Especially considering, even if it were moved to classic, do you think you'd play it? The full golden deck bling is cool, but the novelty of Whizbang wore off quickly for me and I never played him after the first few times. On the other hand, if you're like my friend who defaults to Whizbang for friendlies and casual mode, then it might be worth holding on to.
Got it golden too. It's on my disenchant list with the other golden (or not) legendaries that rotated and I have no use of as I only play a few decks in wild. I must say, although my decision seemed to be made before it rotated, i still haven't pushed the button and some (or many) others on that list might go before him. Not sure why...
If you are a collector, do not destroy it. You need the povo now, check your other copies of other cards and in case you don't have copies you can destroy it. It is better to keep it in case they change it someday.

Any advice?

I don't think they will ever bother to update it and build wild decks for him, there are just way too many options...
Anyway I don't care about golden cards and I don't play wild so it would be easy dust for me, but maybe for you it's different 😅
All fair points. I don’t need the dust yet, but I was curious how many others are in the same position as me.
it’s a fun card, and as someone else mentioned it’s perfect for friend quests.
the golden bling is just cool, and it reminds me of how cool this game could be if golden was the default.

I'd dust him unless you're a F2P in Wild. If not, chuck him.
